The hotel is beautiful with the mix of old and new architecture. Plenty of FOC parking inside the fortress(hotel) and outside. Walking distance to the town and everything you want to see in Chaves. For EV cars, there is a chargeable charging station inside the hotel’s parking.

Room is a bit outdated, but clean.
Parking is free.
Breakfast is simple but ample, come with scrambled eggs and bacon's, cornflakes and different breads.

The manor is located on the banks of the Douro River, with beautiful scenery and every corner is a good place to enjoy the river view. The rooms and facilities are built according to the terrain and are even more beautiful. Whether it is the service staff or the room, it is comfortable and I look forward to the opportunity to visit again.

The hotel staff is very careful and patient, especially with children. The dog living in the hotel is very gentle and friendly and is not inconvenient (for anyone who fears animals, he does not intervene without calling him). The rooms are generous and the internet is functioning throughout the space, except in the pool and spa.

It’s a wonderful experience to stay there for a few days. Interior of the regular cabin could be improved design-wise but it’s not really a negative.
