My family and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The spacious room accommodated all of us comfortably, and the kids loved the pool area. The staff was friendly and helpful, catering to our family’s needs. However, the noise from nearby events was a little disruptive. Despite this, we had a fantastic time and would return. Dining at the hotel’s restaurant was a highlight of my stay, especially the Fish Amok. This dish captured the essence of Khmer flavors and was prepared to perfection. The ambiance of the restaurant complemented the meal beautifully. I left with a full stomach and a happy heart!
Amazing Hostel, the room was clean and spacious. They had music playing loud downstairs but couldn’t hear it at all which was impressive. The staff were lovely and had little events happening though out like quizzes, karaoke etc but you didn’t have to take part if you didn’t want too. Staff were lovely and helpful. Couldn’t recommend more!
This is one of the best value for money hotels we've ever stayed in. The rooms are huge and have beautiful furniture. Everything is spotlessly clean. The location is just a minute's walk up a lane from a good area of Siem Reap. All the staff are super polite. Clean rooftop pool. The food is delicious. We stayed for a week and had the 7 day Angkor Pass. I chose this place over the larger hotels because the reviews were so good. Absolutely brilliant place to stay in a wonderful part of the world. All the photos shown are accurate.
I had a pleasant stay overall. The room was clean, the service was friendly and helpful, and the price was very reasonable. One downside is that the room isn't fully soundproof, so I could hear noise from outside, especially at night. But if you're not a light sleeper, it's a great value for the price!
A clean and well presented Hotel everything is on set with reasonably priced. All staff were very friendly and helpful and we were all happy and satisfied. Breakfast is good and pool is clean and safety for small kids. We stay for 3 nights and they also offer us on early check in and let check out with reasonable price.
I’m highly recommend!
I recently stayed at the Memoire Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, making check-in smooth and easy. The room was clean and comfortable, with great amenities. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!
It’s a beautiful boutique hotel, the only downside is that there is major construction going on at the entrance, therefore it affects the pick up and drop off every time we go out and come back . otherwise the staff are friendly, room is clean.
Definitely in my top 5 hotels of all time. The rooms were big and spacious, the pool was amazing, they have happy hour everyday from 1pm to 5pm, the staff was a solid 10/10.
The food was not so great but edible. I would suggest to maybe add snacks or light meals to the menu maybe Nachos or tacos.
The only problem I had, though was not with the hotel, but with Trip.com itself. They said that the hotel offered free airport drop off or pick up, this was however false ad advertising, and when I contacted Trip.com, I was given the runaround and they wanted to give me not even a fraction airport fee. The airport fee was $29 from the Hotel and Trip.com wanted to offer me 39 CNY which is $5.40. I was very very disappointed by this as my issue is still not solved and I am being taken from point from pillar to post and the whole reason I bought this hotel was because of the free airport drop off saying that the airport is one hour away.
Friendly, joyful and helpful staff, spacious poll view room for three with a comfortable sofa bed.
Breakfast is not served in buffet style yet the array of choices is wide enough and the pace of serving is just right. Plain yoghurt witg fresh fruits and avacado on toast are my daily favorite.
Great location. Massage spas, local shopping markets and restaurants are all within walking distance.
The hotel has a good environment, excellent staff, good service, clean rooms, delicious breakfast, and a great location, close to the city center. I will choose this hotel again next time.

LLudovicusThe service at this hotel was, all in all, excellent. The staff (with the minor exception of the young, night shift receptionists) was super helpful and kind. And the complimentary breakfast was also excellent. These were huge plusses. But small (some really tiny) cockroaches were lurking in the bathroom on all nights of my stay, which i did not mind as much as the sunrise watching ***** who slammed the door at exiting at 5am... Perhaps better soundproofing possible?
KKSea 14-Star Luxury Hotel for the Backpacker Price of $40/night!
The first thing you notice about Sokha Palace Siem Reap Hotel is just how pretty it is! The architect, painters, decorators and maintenance staff did a fabulous job (see my photos). The second thing you notice is how delicious the huge buffet is – including free espresso drinks. Third, you notice that the rooms are not only nice but that everything works well (aircon, hot water showers, refrigerator, wifi, and cable TV with news channels from a half dozen countries like CNN). Fourth, it is in a quiet location less than 15 minutes from Angkor Wat, and only a $2 tuktuk ride to Pub Street or anywhere else in Siem Reap.
But then you notice the best part: the outstanding hotel staff. For example, the Front Desk Manager Phyrun personally helped me when I could not make my room keycard work, and even brought me a bucket of ice. Originally I booked five nights during Chinese New Year with Trip.com discounts for $39/night, but he gave me a free upgrade from a garden view double with king bed to a pool view room. I liked it so much I wanted to extend, but the best I could find online was $41/night garden view, $51 for pool view. I asked Phyrun if I could get the upgrade again if I bought the $41 online, and he said no – but he smiled and said he would give it to me for $40/night the Khmer rate instead (normally $50 for barangs like me)!
The restaurant had other examples of great staff. Some days the restaurant is overflowing with several hundred guests, other days only a few dozen. Yet they maintain the quality and personal touch from the egg and soup station, to the bountiful buffet, to the waiters and waitresses that clear the tables. The Restaurant Manager Somedy and his Assistant Manager Chhaiya keep it all flowing smoothly. Even on the busiest day, waitress Chanthla took the time to show my Khmer friend’s elderly stepmom the way they fold the napkins. Today the espresso machine was not working for a while, so Chhaiya offered to have a waiter drive over to the sister hotel to bring me lattes. I repeatedly declined, but was very impressed by the excellent customer service attitude.
So the real beauty of this French chateau style hotel is its employees, including very efficient housekeeping and grounds staff. I checked out the “5-Star” Sokha Resort on the other side of its convention center, but did not like it half as much (especially for 70% more per night). Normally I would be afraid to write a review of a hotel that I like so much, but with 456 rooms I don’t have to worry about it being full. Do yourself a favor and stay here when in Siem Reap.

GGuest UserSala Lodges in the enchanting city of Siem Reap is nothing short of a hidden gem that boasts not only of charming aesthetics but also of exceptional service that made our stay unforgettable. Nestled quietly away, this hotel provided a tranquil retreat that was much needed during our travel.
The service at Sala Lodges was commendable, embodying the true spirit of hospitality. The staff were attentive, approachable, and consistently willing to assist us in organizing our trips around Siem Reap, making the overall experience hassle-free and enjoyable. A special shoutout to the Swiss owners who were genuinely amiable and made us feel warmly welcomed.
As for the accommodations, the rooms in Sala Lodges were a delightful surprise. Each room bore discrete charm with its tasteful decoration, seamlessly blending traditional and contemporary elements. The authentic Khmer old houses are full of charm, yet modern and well preserved.
The hotel’s kitchen offered a menu that might seem simple at a glance but was satisfyingly delightful upon tasting. Every dish we tried was prepared well, with fresh ingredients and flavors that are comforting yet exciting to the palate. The breakfast, in particular, deserves an extra note of praise for being consistently good, providing a delightful start to our days of exploration.
Adding to the hotel’s allure was the inviting swimming pool, serving as a refreshing sanctuary after a day of touring the magical temples and vibrant markets of Siem Reap. During the wet season, the atmosphere around Sala Lodges was even more calming and soothing, with the soft sound of rain providing a comforting backdrop to our stay.
To sum it up, our experience at Sala Lodges was nothing short of magical. From the excellent service to the beautifully appointed rooms and delightful meals, every aspect of the hotel contributed to a stay that was serene, comfortable, and absolutely enjoyable. Whether you’re traveling in the wet season or not, Sala Lodges offers a cosy retreat that will surely enhance your Siem Reap adventure. Highly recommended!

PPetrStayed for one night for a tour to the temples. Many restaurants and bars (PAB STREET in 2 minutes) within walking distance. Friendly staff who are ready to help with everything.
The interior is very authentic. Welcome drinks. Fruits are a nice bonus.
A little embarrassed that the air conditioner blows directly on the bed, but overall a great small hotel. We were unable to rate the breakfast, because we had to leave early for an excursion.
We have collected detailed feedback.

SSteven Timothy RoweThe first night I was put in a room with an air conditioner that was running but never cooled. The next room had a family of very loud people that went most of the night. The staff is friendly and attentive, but obtrusive. I was moved to another room which had excellent air conditioning and was comfortable.
I have lived extensively in SE Asia and am familiar with the culture. However, always being asked,”Where are you going,” or “What are you doing?” Made me feel very uncomfortable. Simply tell guests that if they need anything or have any questions to please ask, instead of feeling interrogated each time I walked in and out of the hotel.
The girl that served in the dining room had a warm smile and was very kind and she always tried to serve well and did great. The days she was off, it was an uncomfortable awkward experience just trying to have a simple breakfast. Just trying to get salt or getting condiments so that I could eat my food while it was hot, was almost impossible.
As an exercise swimmer, the pool was very unclear at first. I asked if it could be cleaned and their was resistance to do so. Eventually it was cleaned and later it was much better.
I booked my room for two and my girlfriend was only able to be with me part of the time. One evening when I walked into reception with her, the guy was rude and disrespectful and interrogating us both. It was a very uncomfortable and unacceptable situation.
I had booked it for two weeks. Two days before I left, one evening, there was a rat running on the soffit near the ceiling. I didn’t complain about it because my stay was nearly finished and I don’t know what they would even try to do to remedy the situation.
The balconies are nice and overall it was quiet and peaceful.
KKinkin92The hotel is very nice designed, with great location! 5 min from the old market and pub street.
The staff were very nice and helpful in any time i needed.
The room was very nice, clean and comfortable mattress.
One thing is that the toilet sit was smaller that the toilet size and it was a little not comfortable.
And in the shower the upper head shower was very old and rusty, and there was no adjustable head shower.
Over all i will definitely recommend going there!
GGuest UserOn my recent travels through Cambodia, I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mera Residence in Siem Reap, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The friendly and efficient staff immediately set the tone for a delightful stay. Their warm welcome and eagerness to assist made me feel right at home.
The quality and spaciousness of the rooms exceeded my expectations. Immaculately clean, well-appointed, and filled with thoughtful amenities, my accommodation was a haven of comfort. The attention to detail, from the plush bedding to the stylish decor, showcased a commitment to providing a top-notch guest experience.
Situated in a convenient location near Angkor Wat the hotel's surroundings added to the overall appeal. Whether exploring the nearby centres or simply enjoying a leisurely stroll, the accessibility was a definite plus.
Breakfast was a culinary delight. The hotel offered a diverse menu with delectable dishes and drinks. I highly recommend trying the Khmer Options – a true gastronomic highlight.
What truly stood out was the overall atmosphere of the hotel. The seamless blend of elegance and comfort created an inviting ambiance. The staff's dedication to ensuring a positive guest experience was evident throughout my stay.
Considering the superb service, luxurious accommodations, and excellent breakfast, I believe Mera Residence offers exceptional value for money. Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers seeking a memorable and enjoyable stay.
In conclusion, my time at Mera Hotel and its Staff experience was nothing short of perfect. I look forward to returning in the future and extending my gratitude to the entire staff for their outstanding hospitality.
