4-Star Hotels in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan

The view of Mt. Fuji from the large window on one side of the room is really great. From Mt. Fuji under the moonlight to Mt. Fuji in the bright sunlight... You can see Mt. Fuji indefinitely while lying on the bed. The staff is also friendly, and some of them speak Korean, so I was able to communicate comfortably. There is a little dust in places that are not easily visible, but the cleanliness and bedding were generally good. The view from the lobby and hot springs was also really good. I felt that many of the guests were Chinese.

This hotel is right next to the Mishima train station for both regular JR trains and Shinkansen trains on Tokyo-Osaka line. One can walk in without even cross the road. Access if from the first floor (ground) and the reception is in the second floor. There is a small shopping area in the ground floor. Rooms are of good size with separate seating area. Beds are comfortable and have all facilities expected in a first class hotel. More importantly the toilet and bathroom are in sperate enclosures. If one gets the station side rooms, one could see Mt Fuji in all its glory. Breakfast is good with a choice of Japanese and western dishes; and staff is quite helpful. The only issue is that noise insulation could be little better; it is certainly not comparable to what we found in a hotel situated next to a busy train track.

I suddenly decided to go to Numazu and made a reservation on the night of the day of my stay. Very interesting archetecture, great view of Mt. Fuji and a good price were why we choose this hotel. We arrived around 6 PM and were told we couldn't use the restaurant because we didn't have a reservation. We had to drive back to interstate about 15 minutes to find something, there is nothing at all in the hotel vicinity or even a little snack shop on site! Buses very limited. The front of the hotel was nicely painted and landscaped, but the back with patio was pretty shabby. But it did have seating outside for great fresh air. Parking was free but coming back after dinner the covered parking was all full and we had to park lower level in the rain. The room had a strange layout, a 3-mat room for a passageway (luggage drop?) and a small bedroom that one person could get out of bed on one side, but the other person had to crawl over the middle of the bed in the night to get out. In the closet were 2 hard hats?? In case Fujisan starts spewing ash? I think maybe this room was the staff's emergency room when forced to stay. The public bath was disappointingly small, so got crowded quickly. And the view? Of course it rained so no view of Mt. Fuji at all. Not in the hotel's control, but left us disenchanted... 4-star hotel. I don't think so.

Amazing experience! We got picked up at Atami Station in a free shuttle. The Hotel is located on a cliff, with stunning views of both the ocean and the city. The Hotel has a very interesting design, it looks kind of old fashioned but in a grand, fun way. We stayed in a Japanese style room, was fine. The 3 separate onsen baths were amazing. Great views, Sauna was good too. Food was a buffet, but it was freshly made and high quality. We were very happy with the hotel and would definitely recommend it

The beds were large and comfortable, and there is a nice-sized balcony with a generous ocean view. I see some other reviews on Tripadvisor calling the rooms ”old and smelly” -- this has never, ever been my experience, not once. The room seemed exactly as it was over 10 years ago, but that's fine. The colors are soft, muted ”beach” colors and we were very comfortable. On our first night we ate at the ”Melesea” restaurant, which serves French cuisine. We chose the ”Demi portion” course, which was about 9,000 yen (about $62USD with today's exchange rate). We chose it because it wasn't as high priced as some of the other course meals and the portion sizes sounded right for us. There is no question that the ”Demi portion” course was one of the best I've ever had in my life. The chef (Mr. Ohki) is obviously a professional who really understands how to bring out the delicate flavors of any dish, and he is a master at preparing sauces. Everything that was served was outstanding. No, we didn't want to pay that much money per person, but ultimately we made the right choice. We both were extremely impressed. The above two things, plus generally good weather, added up to a good experience. Here, though, are things that you should be aware of: This is essentially a family hotel. That means if you are coming here for peace and quiet, and you make the mistake of coming on a weekend or a national holiday, you can expect lots of screaming children running with abandon down the hallways and fussing in the restaurants and everywhere else. Japanese parents tend to indulge and spoil their little ones. And forget about using the pool, since that's where parents will be staked out the first thing in the morning. If you are a parent, you might find this to be the perfect hotel. If you aren't, and you do not enjoy the boundless energy and noise of children, you will be sorry you booked a room here. So, think carefully about the dates you arrive and leave. As for prices: Although you can get a ”Tokyu Hotel” member card, and although you can find online promotions, the way the hotel makes its money is through its dinners. You are going to pay a lot for them, although there is effort put into them, so, you do feel you are having an ”experience.” But they do not come cheaply. Also, if you don't book your room with breakfast, expect to pay ¥2900 for a ”buffet breakfast.” If you are Japanese, you will love this breakfast; if not, you will find an adequate selection of items for a Western breakfast. Numazu City is unexpected and has a lot of extra points. The station has water elements. The hotel is located at the south exit of Numazu Station. It takes about 10 minutes to walk along the road across the street. The stairs on the first floor of the hotel are classy and many Japanese families hold wedding banquets here. The waiter is enthusiastic and provides us with breakfast coupons. The breakfast is rich and varied. The room is not big but kept quite clean. 9月にバスツアーで宴会場を利用した時に泊まりたいと思い、誕生日に一泊しました。早めに施設に着き、併設の温泉施設で遊び、チェックイン。フロントスタッフが宿泊名簿を見て当日が誕生日と知り、フリードリンク券をプレゼントしてくれました。部屋はひとりのため山側でしたが、広くて清潔で快適。大浴場も熱海の海が見ながらゆっくり、アメニティも充実。夕食のレストランも美味しく新鮮な海の幸がたくさん。追加で注文した牛タンシチューもフォアグラも絶品。朝食の鯵の開きも肉厚でジューシー。お土産も魅力的な商品がたくさん。また「泊まりたい」と思わせるホテルでした。

Libmax Resort Atami is located 25 minutes walk from the station, along the sea down the slope, and there is Lawson right next to it. It is not very popular in the area where customs and customs shops are dotted, but it is also the Atami charm. The hotel is a resort, but it is a size like Dommy Inn because it is about the extent that the amenities of the business hotel are attached to the hot spring. The guest layer is 々, such as a young couple and group trip of college students, a two-person trip of a woman, a young couple with a small child, etc. The public bath is bright and clean and the view is good, but the skin with chlorine tight was rough. I omitted because I didn't take meals. The room was clean and large enough. I think it is a room that can smoke because there was an ashtray in the room, but the air cleaner is working and I don't care about the smell. There is a small refrigerator, about 5 drinks of 500ml, and a size of seafood bowl ２ taken out. The open-air bath with the room is made of pottery and is clean without slippery. Poured the source for about 40 minutes and left it for ３ hours and became temperature. The ingredients are not very thick. The independent shower room felt ammonia smell. In general, I think the inn with the hot spring open-air bath is very good for young guests who are hard to budget, but I think it is not enough for adults who want to enjoy the hot spring in a calm environment.

The top floor of the hotel is a great location for watching fireworks. The room also has a private hot spring, which is very good. The breakfast is also rich. It's just that it's really expensive during the fireworks festival.

Hotel has shuttle bus from the JR station. But is OK just to walk over as there are some small shops worth a look. Breakfast and dinner are good. With lot of Japanese traditional dishes. Hot spa and laundry is an add on plus with this reasonable price of the hotel. This is the hotel I stay every time when in Atami.

The view of Mt. Fuji from the large window on one side of the room is really great. From Mt. Fuji under the moonlight to Mt. Fuji in the bright sunlight... You can see Mt. Fuji indefinitely while lying on the bed. The staff is also friendly, and some of them speak Korean, so I was able to communicate comfortably. There is a little dust in places that are not easily visible, but the cleanliness and bedding were generally good. The view from the lobby and hot springs was also really good. I felt that many of the guests were Chinese.

Very interesting archetecture, great view of Mt. Fuji and a good price were why we choose this hotel. We arrived around 6 PM and were told we couldn't use the restaurant because we didn't have a reservation. We had to drive back to interstate about 15 minutes to find something, there is nothing at all in the hotel vicinity or even a little snack shop on site! Buses very limited. The front of the hotel was nicely painted and landscaped, but the back with patio was pretty shabby. But it did have seating outside for great fresh air. Parking was free but coming back after dinner the covered parking was all full and we had to park lower level in the rain. The room had a strange layout, a 3-mat room for a passageway (luggage drop?) and a small bedroom that one person could get out of bed on one side, but the other person had to crawl over the middle of the bed in the night to get out. In the closet were 2 hard hats?? In case Fujisan starts spewing ash? I think maybe this room was the staff's emergency room when forced to stay. The public bath was disappointingly small, so got crowded quickly. And the view? Of course it rained so no view of Mt. Fuji at all. Not in the hotel's control, but left us disenchanted... 4-star hotel. I don't think so.

The waiters are very enthusiastic and attentive! The hotel has an open environment and feels like nature! I like the surrounding scenery very much! But I still have a small comment: the check-in notification process is a bit cumbersome, and the notification is still oral. The air conditioner in the room is not good at heating, there is no heater, and the room is not warm enough. You need to cover yourself with clothes when sleeping at night. The plastic slippers were a bit dirty, there was no washing machine in the room, and the signs indicating the way to the room at night were not reflective or lighted up, so it took me a long time to find them. Only one towel is given for washing. Didn't you know that you need two towels for the night and the next day? The room lights cannot be adjusted and the brightness is not enough.

This is a hotel on the court, all aspects are better than domestic five-star hotels, the room size is large, the quality of toiletries is very good, the design and layout of the hotel lobby and other public spaces are also very good! Unfortunately, I didn't make an appointment in advance, and I didn't eat the special dinner of the 25th anniversary event. I must develop the habit of making an appointment in advance when I go to Japan in the future. Playing on this stadium has always been at the foot of Mount Fuji, and the view and scenery are very beautiful!
