This trip, the most satisfactory hotel, the room is large, facing the sea to watch the sunrise, complete supplies, hot spring water for bathing in the room, but it takes a while to get hot water, there is a public hot spring upstairs, and I went to the public hot spring to wash in the next few days, it is so convenient, the open-air hot spring on the top floor is used alternately by men and women, I experienced it at night and in the morning, it is more comfortable than indoors, the room environment is quiet, the sleep quality is good, the self-service beverage area on the second floor is not open 24 hours a day, the shuttle bus to and from Beichuan Station has a schedule, and there is a phone number in the picture below, you can call a car to pick you up when you come back at night, otherwise it will be more difficult to walk with the luggage, the front desk can speak English, there is also a handsome Chinese guy, not every day, it should be noted that the restaurants and supermarkets here close early and there are few, later we would buy some food on the way back every day, otherwise we would go hungry 😂 The internet celebrity's Heigen Rock Bath is free for guests staying in surrounding hotels, you must experience it, it is better to experience it yourself than to read other people's comments, it is really an unforgettable trip, I have been missing it these days since I came back

We had a delicious and fun time with the family. The private beach was also wonderful. If it was summer swimming season, the waves would be calm and it would be easy for children to play there. It was the last weekend of March during spring break, but the hotel was well thought out and didn't feel crowded, which was nice. The freshly fried tempura in the dining area and the fried bread for breakfast were very popular and delicious. However, the smell of oil permeated the yukata and hair I was wearing, so I felt like taking a bath and washing my hair again after the meal. I think it would be difficult, but if the ventilation environment was good, it would be perfect! That's how I felt.

A very worthwhile place to stay. I will go to Izu Peninsula next time. Thank you to all the staff of Atagawakan. They kept an eye on us even though we missed the pick-up time. They also arranged a staff member to pick us up to the hotel on a dark rainy night. There were also Chinese-speaking staff in the hotel. Then dinner was delivered to the room. That moment was so happy! ! The scenery in the hotel room is also very healing. The service is super good. It has become a place I will definitely stay when I go to Izu in the future. Thank you again! ! ! (Especially the driver who came to pick us up in the rain that day and the girl who added WeChat in charge of the pick-up station)

First of all, I like to give a credit to 2 lady staff in this hotel. The first one is the lady who can speak fluent English, she tried very best to answer us and helped us to carry the baggage to the shuttle bus. The other lady staff in the front desk on 15/3 night going to my room to fix room facilities and helped me to out the luggage to the shuttle bus on 16/3 too. The hotel in general all staff are nice and helpful. If you like to see sunrise, you better remarked it when you did the booking or ask the check in staff when arrival. The French restaurant is delicious. Public Onsen provided in a convenient time slot. We enjoyed our stay very much. Only recommend the hotel can include breakfast or snack in the room charge.

The Fujisan Mishima Tokyu Hotel offers a fantastic base for visitors exploring the Hakone region, with easy access via the nearby Mishima Station. The hotel lobby is on the second floor, providing a welcoming atmosphere with modern decor. One of the hotel's highlights is the hot spring on the 14th floor, featuring panoramic views of Mount Fuji, which many guests find to be an unforgettable experience. The hot spring is highly rated for its ambience and amenities. Rooms at the hotel are of comfortable size and noted for cleanliness and well-maintained furnishings. The convenience of a bus station in front of the hotel or Mishima Station makes travel around the Hakone area very manageable, allowing guests to explore easily. This hotel is ideal for travellers seeking a balance of comfort, convenience, and an authentic Japanese experience with spectacular views.

I enjoyed my stay at Shimoda Tokyu for getting some dives in with Mikomoto Hammers. The staff are very professional, respectful, and helpful. From 9:20 to 17:45, there is a free shuttle bus to and from Shimoda station. If you are staying for diving in the area, some things you should know: there are no 24 hours Family Mart or 7-11 within walking distance. Walking to the station area will take you 30 mins. Taxi app GO says there is no available car in the area. You will need the hotel staff to phone a local taxi for you out of free shuttle bus hours. The restaurant at the hotel is upscale and expensive and it's your only option if you don't want to taxi into town. Mikomoto Hammers can pick you up at Shimoda Tokyu the morning of the dive. Just let them know. Breakfast buffet is fantastic. The staff made this hotel stay enjoyable. The room is quite small. I felt like I was still in Tokyo with very little space for my carry-on size luggage. If I brought a bigger check-in bag, I would not have enough space to lay if open and also walk freely. Maybe the room I got was small.

I recently stayed at Hotel Clad during my trip to the Fuji area, and it was a wonderful experience. The location is truly unbeatable—perched on a hilltop with breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji, especially at sunrise and sunset. Waking up to that iconic silhouette was absolutely unforgettable. The hotel itself strikes a perfect balance between modern comfort and serene simplicity. My room was clean, well-appointed, and designed with a minimalist aesthetic that made it feel both calming and functional. The large windows made the most of the surrounding nature, and I appreciated the attention to detail in both the amenities and layout. One of the highlights was the onsen. It was such a treat to relax in the hot spring baths while gazing out at Mt. Fuji—an experience that felt both peaceful and luxurious. The onsen facilities were clean, well-maintained, and never overly crowded. The hotel is also conveniently connected to the Gotemba Premium Outlets, making it easy to enjoy a bit of shopping or grab a bite without venturing far. Despite this proximity, the hotel maintains a very tranquil atmosphere, which I really appreciated. Overall, Hotel Clad is a perfect base for anyone looking to explore the Fuji area in comfort. Whether you’re there to hike, shop, or simply take in the views, it delivers a serene, scenic, and satisfying stay.

AAlan Kirkland StaunI suppose the charm of Atami is that the whole area is a little bit 'dated' as far as a resort goes, and this hotel definitely aligns with that - it seems like a place that was once great and is now kind of just rolling along bringing in what money it can. The food is serviceable but totally uninspired - an upscale cafeteria masquerading as something better than it is with 'chefs' wearing their whites. The entire dining room constantly smells of fryer oil from the tempura - which they still make and keep stock of in such large quantities that it is never fresh and crispy anyways (especially the shrimp, which has not been sufficiently dried before battering). The remaining hot dishes are very disappointing both in terms of variety and overall flavor. The sushi and sashimi is the standout of the food, although it too is very basic - not anything that will blow your mind, but acceptably tasty and reasonably fresh (although on our second night everything tasted a bit soapy/bleachy). As a westerner you will be very disappointed by the breakfast, although that's a 'me' problem rather than a hotel problem per se. The spa facilities are nice but a bit dated - be careful in your selection of both time and location unless you want to be surrounded with many loud (mostly Chinese) children. Private spas are available and are quite nice, although again dated. Nonetheless at around 60 USD for an hour the price is good for the privacy, especially as a westerner who is otherwise subject to quite a bit of staring at this mostly local and Chinese spa. We stayed in a deluxe king room, which was spacious with an enormous and comfortable bed, and a (For japan) reasonably sized tub. Room and desk service was good. The hotel is a bit off the beaten path but has regular free shuttles to/from Atami station, which is where the main tourist streets for shopping etc can be found. Highly suggest checking out Golden Eye for some excellent Ramen.

JJanetWe had a really great experience at this hotel. There is a shuttle bus near the hotel that takes you to and from the JR Gotemba station and the Gotemba Premium Outlets. The room is really big for a Japanese hotel, and you even have a jacuzzi/hot spring bath in your own room! As for breakfast, it is buffet style with a good selection. The food is also delicious! The best part of all is still the service they provide. At the Fuji Outlet Hot Spring Hotel, they really go out of the way to serve their guests. We had 2 suitcases stored in the hotel when we checked out and went shopping at the outlets. We went back to the hotel to pick up our suitcases at around 19:20 and intended to take a taxi to the JR Gotemba station to catch a train back to Tokyo station. The front desk staff helped us call a taxi but no taxi would take the order because there was a bad traffic jam. It was on 3rd January 2025, a public holiday, and there were many cars heading for the outlets. Upon knowing our dilemma, I think it was the hotel owner, instructed a staff who just got off duty to drive us to the station. He even checked the train schedule for us! They refused to accept when we offered payment for the ride. Overall, the service was superb and I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. They have front office staff who speaks either fluent English or Chinese. We wish to thank the owner and his staff for such great service and will definitely stay in this hotel again if we were back in Gotemba.

GGuest UserCheck-in was surprisingly smooth. The room was spacious and easy to use, but there were a few things I thought were a bit off: I probably won't return. - Two of the eight lockers in the large communal bath were broken. - There were only four washing areas, so you basically had to stand while taking a shower. There was a chair, but it was hard to use because the height was not right for the shower hook. There was no mirror in the washing booth. - The water was too hot to stay in. People around me had the same reaction. The sound of the drainage was so loud that you couldn't hear the healing music. - There was no alcohol in the vending machines. The free drinks in the lounge were removed at 10pm, so it was a pain if you forgot to buy some at the convenience store.

AAimiamyamyThe location is OK, about 10 minutes walk from Numazu JR Station, no convenience store within 200 meters. The girl who checked us in at the front desk looked like an Indian (Bangladesh) girl, she was very nice and gentle, and sent us to the elevator. At 10 o'clock in the morning, the uncle who was cleaning rang the doorbell, which affected our sleep a little. Everything else was OK, the room was medium in size, a 28-inch suitcase could not be fully unfolded, but a small suitcase could be.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located close to the Ito downtown, we were driving so it wasn't an issue. There are plenty of parking at the hotel. The ryokan is well maintained, it doesn't feel old, the onsen are properly modernized and clean. The room is HUGE which, with many functional areas, it was very pleasant room. There is also a private onsen as well for family or couples for a small fee. The private onsen has a good traditional style to it and it was open-air . There are also a chair for old people and toys for kids, so it's well thought out. Many people seems to like to have their dinner at the private eating room on first floor, so we did the same. They had one service person per 2-3 rooms maybe so we were well serviced, and the guy was very nice. I remember meeting him for dinner, and he realized we can only speak English, so the next morning when we met him again for breakfast, it looks like he made note in his notebook so he can properly introduce the dishes to us in English. I could feel the dedication so thank you to the man.

GGuest UserThe access from the station was good and I had a comfortable stay. It was a plan without meals, but the breakfast buffet was added later. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of local products. The room key was a normal key type, but there was no problem. Although free Wi-Fi is flying, I couldn't find the guide, so I checked with the front desk and there was no particular password. Shampoo, body soap, etc. were the type to replenish the equipment, so recently, there are troublesome customers who mix various things, so I used what I brought. I hesitated to use the slippers because they are not disposable, they are made of mesh material, and they don't feel like they can be wiped off easily. Guidance in the room and at the front desk is minimal, but if you ask, they will respond properly, so I don't think there will be any particular problems.
