Swiss-Belhotel Sorong

When we first arrived in sorong, we took a ride to the hotel. Tired and hungry. Luckily the hotel itself was welcoming and restfull. We waited for awhile for the room to be ready. They let us checked in early although Its not 2 pm yet. Wow that was such a relieve. The room was cleaned and the beds are comfortable. We rested and freshenup before went out to explore sorong town. The staffs were helpful and kind. Helping us with our ride and introducing us interesting places to go. The location is good as it is near to many places that we wanted to go. We stayed for a nite only and the next day we took off to Raja Ampat. Thank you swiss bel. Well done!
Aston Sorong Hotel & Conference Center
4.4/582 Reviews
The Aston Hotel is nicer than other hotels I have stayed in Sorong. It is very close to the airport and has many guests that come to dive at Misool and on Raja Ampat liveaboards. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are nice with firm beds. The elevators are fast and I never had to wait more than 30 seconds for the lift. The food is good. The only negative, as has been noted by other TA reviewers, is that at certain nights on the 7th floor bar there is loud music. I was on the 5th floor and I could hear it. The trouble is as you get to the lower floors the noise from the street can be a problem. All in all, I enjoyed my stay at the Aston and I would hope to stay here again should I return.
The Belagri Hotel & Convention
3.4/511 Reviews
Comfortable hotel located on the heights of Sorong, a little away from the city center. Kind and available staff. Nice room, clean and quiet air conditioning. Sea view. Good value for money. Special mention for the restaurant located at the top of the building with a view of the city and the sea. Super nice staff especially Tasya but service a little long. Breakfast is designed almost exclusively for Indonesians, which leaves only toast and eggs for those who don't want to tackle cooked meals first thing in the morning. It's a shame because the buffet is plentiful. There are few Western tourists in Belagri, this perhaps explains it.
Aston Niu Manokwari Hotel & Conference Center

After a night flight we had 7 hours waiting in Manokwari and decided to go to Aston, because its located very close to the airport. Outside the hotel looks great, but rooms are pretty worn out and definitely not 4 stars. + very friendly, helpful and efficient receptionist + clean sheets and towels, coffeemaker, fridge + breakfast: nor many western dishes, but plenty fruits, cakes, omelette - no sign for do not disturb, so just after we fell asleep, housekeeping belled us awake Alltogether, if you have to stay in Manokwari Aston is a good option.
Meridian Adventure Marina Club & Resort
4.6/546 Reviews
i visited this resort specifically to go scuba diving in the areas close to Waisai that my liveaboard trip did not include. The sites themselves are great however i would suggest divers request for local dive masters for all their dives. There are a number of non-indonesian dive masters who are either not good (eg.. on a night dive one non-indonesian dive master missed an octopus which i pointed out then he actually put his go pro in front of mine while i was filming the octopus !!! i pushed his arm aside but he continued anyway ) or don't have enough knowledge of the marine life in the tropics (when i pointed out a shrimp that is commonly found in these waters, the dive master said she had never seen them before -- face palm!!). The resort looks fairly new and they still have some issues to sort out -- like when it rained outside, it also rained inside my room!!! The local staff are very friendly and try their best so 5 stars to them but 3 stars for management.
