The location is absolutely fantastic, right by the JR station exit. There's an Aeon supermarket conveniently located downstairs, and Nara Park is just a short walk away. It's incredibly convenient. The hotel facilities are also great. While the decor might be a bit dated as it's been a while since the last renovation, everything is exceptionally well-maintained and durable, with no issues at all. The hotel breakfast offers a very generous and authentic Japanese spread. There's a wide variety of dishes, and the taste is absolutely delicious! The front desk staff were excellent too, and communication was completely seamless.

The room is spacious and the bed is quite comfortable, but the pillow is too flat. The soundproofing effect is so-so, and the sound from the corridor can be clearly heard in the room. The air conditioner is loud. There are convenience stores, restaurants, 24-hour self-service laundry shops, and daily necessities supermarkets within 5-10 minutes. The neighborhood is quieter after dark, but safe. It takes only 5 minutes to walk to Kashihara Jingumae Station. The road is flat and you don't need to go up and down the elevator. There is a lounge on the 1st floor that provides snacks. From 8pm to 10pm, the hot spring bath will provide ”amazake”👍 But there is no self-service laundry and dry cleaning service. The bath is time-limited, not 24 hours. If you stay consecutively, you can request to clean the room every other day. The cleaning level is standard. There is a 2D Barcode on the information sheet to check the mixing situation of the bath.

The room is very clean and comfortable, with consistent JW Marriott quality service. It is located next to the Convention Center. There is a parking lot for self-driving tours, and bicycles can be borrowed for exploring the attractions in the area.

Exceeded expections on all grounds! I am so happy with the hotel I wanted to spread the word. This hotel has great old world charm and more. I was a little worried about the condition of the hotel (more than 100 years old!) but everything was fine. I stayed at the Main Wing / basic room with park view. The bathroom was basic (business hotel like) but very clean, but the room / bedding and the view at our window was wonderful. Given the low price point, we were very happy with the room. Definitely recommend the Main Wing, and if you can, a room with higher price point. All staff, from shuttle bus / concierge / front desk / bar, are excellent. We really enjoyed the check in process - you can sit at the lounge admiring Einstein's piano while the front staff comes calling your name. Also try the tea lounge both during the day and night (turns to a bar). I would also like to extend special thanks to Korean speaking front manager Lee Su Jin who helped us in so many ways. She really made our stay comfortable. One thing to note about Nara city itself is that most venues close at 4pm and have unpredictable operating hours. You can't just walk around hoping to sit down at a cafe or restaurant. Highly recommend making reservations in advance of your trip and I'm sure Nara hotel concierge can help with this. I really enjoyed Nara Hotel and look really forward to returning.

Overall, the hotel is new and looks very nice. For family traveling, it is not very convenient, especially if you have strollers as there are places without ramps, only stairs. There is not much amenities you can use in the property without paying extra. With such a high room price, you would expect more. The location is very close to the Nara park and you can see deers inside the property. The included breakfast can be better, I don’t think the portion is enough, but they do provide rice if you need more.
