The hotel location is perfect and it is just opposite to Yokohama CosmoWorld. Special thanks to Guest Experience Manager - Hong-Sun Synn, he helped us to exchange the room while we found our room had some noice which is caused by strong wind and made us cannot sleep. Mr. Synn came to our room and handle our case immediately, we appreciated to his care and handling.

Ten-yu is amazing. We were impressed from the moment we stepped into the lobby. The kind staff allowed us an early check-in at 1 p.m. and arranged lounge services for our three-day, two-night stay. While the breakfast buffet was exceptional—an extensive spread paired with bubbles and wine—the Kaiseiki dinner was a bit disappointing in comparison. We were fortunate to experience a picturesque snowfall that transformed the hotel’s surroundings into a postcard-like scene, and since we drove, getting around was never an issue despite the snow. The staff were thoughtful throughout our stay. Highly recommended!
Hotel staff is as always very friendly and staff recognized us once we check in.
As this is a memorial trip for my mom who visited this hotel in Nov. We stayed in the same room.
The caring arrangement from hotel is always the reason we come again and again.
The hotel is conveniently located near a subway station. Takes approximately 10 minutes walk. One of their team members can speak English fluently during the check in. The staff is very helpful. The room is well decorated and clean. All rooms situated on high levels. Decently sized room.
During this trip to Japan, we stayed at the New Grand Hotel with a deep sense of history for three nights. The hotel was simple, solemn, elegant and warm. Opposite the hotel is Yamashita Park, which has pleasant scenery, and behind it is Chinatown, which is very lively. The room was clean and tidy, the room key was unique, the staff was gentle, and some of them could speak Chinese, and they spoke it very standardly. The hotel has high-end dining and convenient shopping. During my stay, I saw someone holding a wedding in the hotel.

It was a perfect hotel stay for families visiting Hakone. The room was spacious for our family of three. Comfortable bed and well kept room amenities. The buffet breakfast and dinner food and drinks were delicious. We love our visit to the Hakone Kowakien Morinoyu which was included with our hotel stay.
The only thing I didn’t like was the checkin procedure. We had to use a machine to checkin instead of going to the checkin counter and have front desk staff processing for us. It was a terrible experience because the machine failed at recognising our passport and it was terribly hard to enter everyone’s details on the touch screen. I should have to do this myself as a guest. Please get rid of the machine check in.
Very welcoming from lobby staff and spacious room with very nice shower and toilet.
Although the location is not the most central but Yokohama is a small area and metro is about 10mins walk. Good thing that there’s a Lawson just across the road.
Cons: can’t seems to operate the tv. Can’t watch YouTube (maybe we don’t know how to use). Wish there’s English instructions.
It’s a shame there’s no coin laundry nearby. It will be nice.

I love this hotel! From the moment we were ushered in from the shuttle coming via Odawara stn, the hotel felt very welcoming. Reception was a large open table that is not your typical hotel reception that feel too formal. we were first brought to the lower bar seating area where it’s comfy sofa seating. Check in took awhile as many guests were received from the hotel shuttle bus (25-30 seater). Staff always check in with us on the progress while we waited. Room came with private onsen though I hope it could have been the natural spring water instead of tap. Love the huge room size thats great for little kids to run around, met my standard of cleanliness as well. Breakfast adequate but not a huge spread which I find pricey at 3900 yen. Some bread, fried jap style fish, somen, cold appetisers, veg dips, fruits, around 6-8 hot dishes including omelette and poached eggs. Yet a lot of drink choices fr milk, soy, juices, teas, etc. we had the set dinner 18000 yen and 15000 yen as both of us had diff menus. Was a 3-4 course dinner, nothing out of this world and we didnt want the hassle of walking out to find food. This was one hotel we found many singaporeans (we are one too) as breakfast and dinnertime in resto is when we
started noticing the accents. Nearby is a 7-11 nearby around 300m by foot if you feel peckish in middle of the night. Very pleasant stay, like that they provide mpv service to and fro gora station that would be most main boarding point to other attractions, mind that it runs till 6pm so any later you can take the Hakone Tozan bus which brings you to the pizza resto just a short 50m walk from hotel main road.
The room was clean and tidy. It was a pity that I didn’t go to the top floor to experience the scenery while watching the hot spring. The banquet package booked in the hotel tasted good.

Room: It has been renovated once. The room is spacious and clean, suitable for families with children.
Location: It is located halfway up the mountain, which is a little inconvenient, but those who are not in a hurry can take the bus. There is a bus stop at the door, which connects to various places, which is also good.
Hotel environment: Very beautiful, the hotel building is very historical, suitable for slow travelers, if you are in a hurry, you can't enjoy its beauty.
Disadvantages: There are not many restaurants around, it is best to go back to the hotel or eat fast food at the 711 outside the hotel. The hotel restaurant is expensive and not delicious (we can't eat it). With a one-year-old child, we can't enjoy Japanese food.
This is the second time I have joined the company. The first time was ten years ago. I will go again when my baby is older.

GGuest UserPerfect, perfect, perfect! The view is perfect, the facilities are perfect, and the hygiene is perfect. What better time to relax than soaking in the hot spring while watching Mount Fuji? I hope I can come again in the future! It is impossible to live in this room type for 5 months, and it is just right for a family of 3 or 4. There are 3 improvements in hygiene: 1) The lamps in the restaurant are very dusty 2) There is dust in the microwave 3) The fabric sofa has stains and the frequency of deep cleaning should be increased after washing. In addition, it would be more perfect if a Bluetooth speaker could be provided.

CcghucgkeThe hotel is just around the corner from the mountain train station. The environment is very good and the facilities are complete. Toiletries and lotions are provided. You can check in directly with just a change of clothes. I left my luggage at the Tokyo Hotel. The Kaiseki dinner was of good quality. If you are not used to Kaiseki, you can get off at the previous stop, Mori no Bijutsu. There is Lawson opposite. Buy some snacks, instant noodles and cook in the microwave!
AAnonymous UserThis is my first time to experience this kind of pure Japanese-style hotel. Although I only stayed there for one night in a hurry, the experience was very rich and colorful. The service staff was warm and considerate. Although we relied almost entirely on translation machines and body language, it did not affect our communication. The aunt who was responsible for taking care of us would patiently help us change our clothes, remind us to appreciate the cherry blossoms, and ask us where to go. It felt like my own relatives were taking care of the children who came to travel. This is probably the meaning of a family hotel. Dinner and breakfast were very delicious and sufficient! The girls really couldn't finish it! When I learned that someone of us had a birthday, I got a handwritten blessing card, which was very touching! Our friends agreed to stay more time to come here next time!

GGuest UserI've had the pleasure of staying at several high-end hotels, including the Hakone Gora Byakudan. Without a doubt, Byakudan surpasses its competitors in every aspect. The service, facilities, and genuine care for guests are exceptional. I only wish I could have extended my stay. The room was flawlessly clean, and the bed provided a truly restful night's sleep. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, readily available to assist with any needs. The hotel's location is convenient, offering easy access to local attractions. Additionally, the complimentary car service to nearby destinations such as art museums and the cable station was a thoughtful touch. The Japanese dinner and breakfast were beyond delicious, featuring a diverse array of options. The snacks and wine bar were equally impressive. I particularly enjoyed the massage chair and the delightful ice-cream selection. I wholeheartedly recommend the Hakone Gora Byakudan to anyone visiting the area
GGuest UserExcellent hotel
Large space, separate wet and dry bathrooms
There is also a large balcony with mountain views
The buffet breakfast is very rich, with many varieties and delicious
Kid-friendly
I will stay here again next time
