This was my first trip with my boyfriend. We researched accommodations online and found many positive reviews about A Rock, so we decided to stay there for our 4-day, 3-night trip to Langkawi.
Overall, the service was quite good, and I was satisfied with our stay. The only downside was that the resort is located on a hill, requiring a drive up to reach it.
Other than that, everything was great, and breakfast was included for all days.

A wonderful experience is an understatement. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Beautiful white sand beach. Quite and tranquil. Fresh air. Facilities are well maintained. Food was scrumptious. Wont be staying anywhere else if i were to visit langkawi again.

Wonderful hotel at a nice price. The location is perfect, the room was clean, they cleaned it every day, a couple of cockroaches were noticed and they were destroyed just as quickly 😅 I saw it written about earlier, but I live in Asia, so it didn't scare me, here it's +- normal. We didn't go into the pool, somehow there was no time for it, and it's more for children. We stayed for a couple of days and were satisfied.

Beautiful views, but disappointing stay. The ocean views from the resort were truly stunning — easily the highlight of the trip. Unfortunately, the rest didn’t live up to expectations. Our room had dirty floors, dusty corners, and borderline acceptable sheets. The resort felt run down, and the infinity pool water was so filthy and cloudy. Adding to the discomfort, there was a week-long navy event with loud sirens and cannon blasts starting early each day — none of which was communicated to guests beforehand. A real letdown overall.
We stayed at Rebak Island Resort for 4 days 3 nights, one of the best experience we had. I will list the pros n cons -
Pros:
1. They hv free scheduled ferry so u can go to cenang from rebak or vice versa. Make sure to plan ahead
2. So many activities on the island itself- kayak, atv, cycling, pool, beaches, nature walk, yoga, etc (some need to pay)
3. Friendly staff
4. Free buggy service in the resort
5. Serene and peaceful resort
6. Love the BBQ on saturday night (rm90/head)
7. Breakfast was good
Cons :
1. Rebak island is located at southern side of langkawi while most tourist attraction is at the north near tanjung rhu or near town area. Bit far to travel and need to make sure the ferry schedule match since u need to take ferry out from rebak to cenang first
2. Would suggest to go here and just do activities around rebak. We spent only 1 day to visit the mangrove and shop at Billion. The rest we only stay at rebak and join the ATV n kayak there.
3. If you want to go out of rebak, the nearest is Cenang. They hv paragliding there and fire dance at night.
4. While i think kayak and ATV are worth it (rm90/head), other activities by the hotel (cruise, jetski, mangrove, snorkling) are overpriced. You can get it cheaper booking from the locals / klook
5. Very disapointed with their ala carte dinner menu. We ordered thai green curry, tom yam goong, calamari and apple crumble. Tbh it tasted like the ones sell on the street. Not authentic at all and tasted not good. The moment i saw brocolli in my tom yam goong i knew its bad
6. We took the sea view 1 bedroom, quite far from the lobby but still walkable. You can call for buggy if you are lazy to walk
Overall i love it. The best memories we had is the kayak. We were greeted by otters! Apparently their house is just near the island so high chance for you to see otters there!

The standard rooms are at the opposite building of the resort. Dinner in the resort is below rm30 for each dish and about rm10 for each drink. This is a unique great place to dine and view the sea in the sunset. The pool is very fun and enjoyable. Totally recommend walking to rams home decor for cheap varieties of chocolate, as the prices seem cheaper than cenang beach.
Everything was perfect. Plenty of restaurants , very helpful staff very good breakfast This was my 3rd time to Berjaya Hotel and Resort before it was 4 star hotel now they have upgraded to the 5* Hotel & Resort. I like the rainforest chalets are very relaxable in a jungle itself. I request them if they can put extra handle shower or a small tap because sometimes you need to wash only feet, its not good to use the ceiling shower and get wet all body.,

Spacious and comfortable room, suitable for families with kids. Easy to find near airport. The hotel is in front of the beach and there is a fire show every night. Walking distance to dataran Cenang, restaurants, and foot massage places. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was okay, but the rice needs improvement as it was always hard during my 4D3N stay. However, the other dishes were tasty and good. Thank you for the comfortable room and friendly staff 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

FFeifei 霏霏This was a mix bag for me. Considering the price I paid, it was not on par with other hotels in the same league. The location, however, is the hotels winning point. Other than that, we experienced a few issues. Firstly, unless you have Netflix, the TV is useless. The hotel is old and dated. I was stuck in the hotel. The breakfast options are quite limited. I cannot fault the staff, they were efficient and tried their best. The pools were clean and my kids enjoyed it
TTravel zumbieBooking a deluxe room with sea view, Room was big, furnitures are old, need to update…….Seaview room has good view. Place crowded during breakfast…..Stay this hotel quite often because of biz trip, breakfast spread alway the same type of food, quality which is so so….swimming pool full of people…..surrounding shops selling food only opens for breakfast and dinner…
AAlexis LumTook me a while to decide on Four Seasons due to slight put off by the location as it was rather secluded on the other side of the island. (which also meant privacy and peace) But was pleasantly and amazingly surprised by them.
Booking via Trip, I didn’t expect that the hotel will reach out to me directly to check about my trip and how they can facilitate my plans better. Having booked over Trip numerous times, this was a first. This is also not my rodeo with 5stars on Trip. I felt valued and felt the sincerity the hotel expressed on how much they welcomed my stay and looking forward to my arrival.
I arrived early for check-in and the whole process was swift, personal and made me feel extremely welcomed. Before I even asked, the team checked on my flight details out of Langkawi, and arranged for my late check-out to match my flight out so that I can stay rested and enjoy the resort till my very last moments in Langkawi. It surprised me as it was extremely personal and showed how well the hotel treated each guest and placed their needs at their utmost priority. I honestly didn’t expect their thoughtfulness.
A resort tour was then arranged on a buggy to show me around the area and to introduced to me the different restaurants and facilities. And then we were showed to our room.
Room was dated and had visible signs of wear and tear but all in all was within expectations. Clean and spacious and had a giant tub which filled up rather quickly despite the sizes. Room was well lighted with generous amount of day light.
Having shared with the team that I was celebrating my birthday, they arranged for cake and champagne in my room to welcome me. Their service was consistent and I also received great attitudes at their restaurant, Kelapa Grill which served great seafood.
Thank you Four Seasons Langkawi for such a memorable stay. Your service have been impeccable. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and warm hospitality. I will most definitely be back.

GGuest UserThe stay was good, they helped us with early check in and late check out. The view from the hotel is great. The staff is attentive. The food is good too.
What could be better is :
Mini bar in room
We were celebrating our anniversary so any tiniest of cake or flowers would elevate the experience
AAnonymous UserIt was a great stay, but there’s still room for improvement in your services. I understand that your hotel hosts many foreign guests, most of whom stay for long periods, but please appreciate local guests as well. No one helped me with my baggage during check-in or check-out, yet your staff seemed very attentive when assisting foreigners.
GGuest UserI had a really disappointing experience at your hotel, and I feel compelled to share my grievances regarding the front desk service.
Firstly, I needed a razor, which should have been a simple request. However, when I called the front desk, they just hung up on me. I had to make three calls and was eventually transferred to housekeeping before the razor was delivered. It was incredibly frustrating.
Later, I asked the front desk to collect the room service tray from our balcony because we have a lot of small animals, and I was concerned about them getting into the food. The front desk promised to take care of it but never showed up. The next morning, I called four times, and each time the front desk staff assured me that someone would come, but no one ever did. As a result, the birds got into the food and made a mess all over the balcony.
To make matters worse, the water in the shower was dirty and yellow. When the room was cleaned, they forgot to replace one of the bath towels and didn't put out any slippers. To top it all off, the bed sheets were changed twice, but both times they were dirty. It was really disappointing and unacceptable. I expected a much higher level of service from your hotel.
JJocelyn_KohThe location of the hotel is convenient — not too far from Cenang Beach and other popular tourist spots. Overall, the cleanliness of the rooms and surrounding areas was well maintained.
Service-wise, okay. Most of the reception staff were friendly and helpful, but one male staff was quite impolite and seemed to be in a bad mood when I requested buggy service to my room around 11 + p.m.
Facilities were limited. Several villas appeared old, abandoned, or not in use, which gave certain areas of the property a neglected feel. I would suggest a refurbishment to better align the resort with the expectations of a 4 star property.
One of the biggest disappointments was the breakfast. At RM50 per person, I expected a wider selection and better quality. Unfortunately, the spread was quite basic and did not reflect the premium pricing of a 4 star setting.
In summary, Ombak Villa is great for its clean environment and spacious grounds, but needs improvement in service consistency, facilities maintenance and food quality to justify its current rating and pricing. If I were to return to Langkawi, I would think twice about staying here again.
