Mocco Beach Villa

Very nice location on the main part of the beach area in Kendwa beach. The hotel room is rather basic, and there was no hot water after the first night. The tap in the bathroom also had metal/ rust coming from the tap. The shower basically dribbled water and made a mess in the bathroom. There was no room cleaning during then2 days we spent here. The WiFi didn’t work at all making it very difficult to work online if your job requires it. The room had only 2 power points for charging devises and these were local power point so you’ll need an adaptor from the local store in order to charge your phone/ laptop. The included breakfast is basic- an omelette , a slice of toast, some fruit and a crepe. Only instant coffee includes. A cappuccino was an extra $4 a cup.

We were family with 2 adults and 2 kids (9 and 11 years old). Three bedroom is big enough that two kids slept in one bad with no problem. Everybody are so welcoming and nice, Eduard from reception is great. Breakfast on the terrace with overview on ocean is beautiful. House keeping should be more quiet in the morning with trolley. Only comment we have are for cleaning lady who never left all 4 towels in the room, or 4 bottles of water, or toalet paper. Every day something was missing. Swimming pool is clean and nice.

My partner and I, stayed here for 10days. It was such a lovely hotel, our rooms were so spacious, made us feel like we were home. The views from the big wide balcony were just so beautiful, we would seat outside, listen to music while watching the stars and the moon, the beach waves was just what we needed to hear before bed. The staff were so lovely and welcoming. The manager was just lovely welcoming and engaging with customers. Most of all the food was the best we had in Zanzibar, we tried other restaurants but not up to scratch. We decided to only eat at the hotel lunch and dinner. If you like a quiet place with a beach front, not noisy and not too busy this is the place. You can commute by car to other beaches and places outside the hotel but sometimes you just want to relax at the hotel by the beach. You can learn kite surfing outside the hotel and arrange other activities as we did from the hotel We miss it already. Do not look nowhere else

This place is exactly what we needed. We wanted to escape our busy life in Australia and go somewhere peaceful. This place is set in the trees, close to a private beach and only a short walk to the main more busy Nungwi area. We loved this because we could escape it or join it depending on our mood. Highly recommend this place and can’t wait to go back.

Tropicana Kendwa Beach Hotel

The second time I rested in this hotel. I rarely write reviews and unfortunately for the first time I didn't manage. In price/quality ratio, this is objectively the best option in Kendwa. Here are mainly the expensive fives, the price of the tour from 450-500 to. Holiday in Tropican cost us much cheaper and there is a decent difference in safari and food. In fact the same beach, ocean, cafes and restaurants. The room is mainly for sleep and it fully fulfilled expectations. We lived in the garden building, a view to the garden. Last time on the beach, in the superior room on the second floor. Both arranged the one and the only garden more on the square, there is a sofa. Breakfasts are included in the room cost, take place in the restaurant at the beach corps. Always fresh baking several species, hot for choice, fruit, omlet, juice, tea, coffee. Here you can eat very decently, work until late evening. They understand Russian. Delicious soups and of course seafood, which pleases not overheated. By the way, Tropicans have their territory on the beach with lying and guard, although the hotel is budgetary.. For us it is a very important moment. Finally went to Safari, it was a long dream. Take from the hotel guide Kelvin. Very kind guy, not bad speaks Russian, on organization of questions no. Good cars, air conditioner. Ranger on safari too very liked, in half a day managed to see a lot of animals. Even didn't expect! But it was a little short of time to enjoy. I didn't want to leave at all. If we get to Zanzibar for the third time, we'll definitely go to safari for at least 2 days. Our 10-day rest flew as a moment, brought home the luggage of warm solar memories. Thank you for a wonderful rest! Good luck and prosperity to the hotel and all staff! Ekaterina and Olga.
Tanzanite Beach Resort

The hotel is in a breezy location with quite nice rooms, simply furnished but our room needed some TLC. The cleaning was good, and the staff were friendly but the food was really rubbish. The food let this place down. Very African, many things not available, and the buffet was disappointing. At breakfast you could see what was fresh, usually one item each day whether mandado or croissant or a bread roll. Coffee was instant. The chef on the BBQ was burning and frying out the meat and seafood which upset me greatly. No wine choices, often only one or two types of beer. No ice one day. I started to going elsewhere to eat at the hotels nearby. There is no beach access at high tide, and be warned this is not a place for access for anyone with a disability as hard coral and urchins underfoot.

A little friendly paradise on the beach. I travelled with my two teenagers. Good food and fresh fruit every morning. Very nice atmosphere and staff. Music in the evenings. Clean rooms, mosquito nets. The staff helped me to book a driver from the ferry and boat trip (snorkelling, we saw dolphins!)

Location was great, if you look for a small authentic place to feel real charm of the tropical paradise. The view from the Ocean view Suite was amazing. White-sand beach with the ocean entrance was just in some steps down. Tides were calm enough and didn't make serious problems - you can swim smoothly most of the time. The room was clean. The hotel's restaurant was good and there were some ones around. The hotel's staff was extremley friendly and did their best. It was a real pleasure. Special thanks to Noela from the restaurant team - she is a stunning girl who does a great job. Despite the room we had (Ocean view Suite) was clean and was being well cleaned every day, it extremly requires rennovation. The most of furniture and room/bathroom equipment was very old, not properly working and must be changed. The beach life near the hotel was quite active and noisy with a ”fish market” at about 6am every morning where locals bought fish (in fact, it can be even interesting if you don't sleep) and with a DJ who worked at the restaurant next door. It was not an issue for us but can be a problem if you need silence.
