Ayutthaya Riverside
Stayed Two nights from 21/09/22 to 23/09/22 Located within close proximity to the ruins of Ayutthaya, this is a great place to stay if you are on a budget. I stayed in room 14 which was a double room access from the side of the main building. It was a fairly nice room for the price however there was no safe or fridge. The double bed was also only a mattress on the floor so there was that risk of bugs and ants making their way on to the bed itself. The gardens are a nice place to sit and have a drink however you will need to stop by a shop to pick something up as there is no bar or drinks fridge. Overall it is a nice budget place to stay. if you like luxury, it probably isn't for you however if you want something a little different, which is cheap, clean and well kept, I would highly recommend.
Ayodhara Village

Ancient wood “villa” just like in the Ancient City bkk upgraded with standard hotel amenities such as king bed, fan, AC, TV, fridge, and a roomy restroom. Outside on the wrap around deck are chairs and table to enjoy a shady outside time. Hinged folding double doors open up 2 meters bringing in the outside but without a screen you can choose to open any of the screened shuttered windows which do provide reasonable mosquito barrier. PRIOR Complaints I’ve read in reviews: Cracks in floors, some boards move when walking….. LOOK Here.. these are structures built long time ago, like maybe 100’s of years. You’re in Thailand, please, these are ancient homes along the river, raised a meter, ooh I can see a sliver of light below floor. DISREGARD ANY NEGATIVE REVIEW if you want an ancient nature experience, if not go to days inn (I live days inn BTW)

Ayothaya Hotel

Ayutthaya Riverside
I stayed here for five nights on the final leg of my 2022 north-south road trip. Many of the guest houses in this neighborhood are still closed, this hotel was one of the only options I could find in this area. This is a pretty typical Thai/Asian-style city hotel. Behind the hotel, they have another building that is similar to a motel in the US. This is where I stayed. From the outside, it looks good, but the rooms are very basic with few amenities. Again, typical of a budget hotel that would cost 500 THB in another part of the country. At a walk-in rate of 790 THB, I thought the room was overpriced. On a positive note: the air conditioning, hot water, and refrigerator worked well and it was very clean. There is sufficient, on-site parking for those who self-drive.
The Avail

Ayutthaya Riverside
Dear Thailand Traveler, While in Thailand, you may decide to make a stopover in Ayutthaya Province, which is one of the historic capital cities of Thailand. If you do, you may think about a stay at The Avail hotel. First, let me tell you that The Avail will not satisfy the needs of those seeking 5 star accommodations. Having said that, if you are seeking a clean, safe, comfortable, and affordable place to enjoy an evening or two while in Ayutthaya - you will be very satisfied checking into The Avail. What I found so satisfying about The Avail is that everything works, and works well. The bathroom is comfortable and the shower is hot, the bed is amazingly comfortable and the comforter is soft and warm, the air conditioner blows cold, and the room is clean. Everything that needs to work...does, and this is something that I cannot always say about even the most expensive places. Moreover, the staff is friendly, the price is right (900 THB/night), and the location is near historic ruins, elephant rides, and some very good restaurants. You cannot write a review and say only good things, so here is the best I can do to say something somewhat critical. There is no coffee or coffee cups in the room, but there is a hot water pot. On the bright side, if you want coffee, there is a complimentary coffee cart in the lobby with both. I am sure if you asked to take coffee to your room, they would be most happy to oblige. One more comment, I did not see a strong box in the room to store valuables. All and all - a very good find. Best/Kevin
Phuttal Residence

Really special experience staying on the river in Ayutthaya. Lovely room looking down on the river. Beautiful teak design - obviously a little rustic and not best sound insulation but this is part of the charm. We had breakfast right beside our room and the river. Very nice breakfast lovingly prepared. Free bike hire which was awesome and bike riding is very nice - you can do a route which is 90% without cars around the historic monuments. We went on a boat tour right from the hotel which took us to see 3 historic sights. Unbelievable good value. Only down side was it pretty much abandoned us at river restaurant without explanation which although lovely was a shame it hadn’t been communicated. Overall though would highly recommend.

Ayutthaya Riverside
The building is old, but the room was clean and comfortable for me. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was simple but tasty. The river view room had a good view and I enjoyed watching the trains and boats every now and then. But someone may feel noisy. I was overall satisfied with this hotel.
Grand Phranakhon Hotel

First thing, Aircon was not cold. But we were quite tired. So just slept. My friend also found a cockroach in the room. But just took care of it by herself. Cockroaches are big minus for me. Another room’s lock was not working well. So she moved another room but still same problem. Hotel is very large. And a bit spooky. Heard they r renovating now and preparing for grand opening. Perhaps will be better after their grand opening as they are still in progress of maintenance.
Baan Mee Suk Ayutthaya

Newly opened hostel with excellent location just opposite the main archeological sites on Ayutthaya. The staff were very courteous and knowledgeable. The dorm room was decent. I loved the 24h drink station. Light breakfast was provided, but I didn't have time to try. The communal area at the reception was great. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Baan Mee Suk.

From Hualan Phong Station in Bangkok, take the train to Ayutthaya Station and from the station to the inn by Grab. We stayed for 2 nights with 1 people. Each room was laid out on a spacious and well maintained site, and it was a very comfortable stay to walk barefoot in the wooden room. Bicycles can be rented (when I stayed, it was a super hot heat of 40 ℃ every day, I gave up my bicycle, and the ruins were around Grab). In the room, there were refrigerators, water, kettle pots, tea sets, sweets, dryers, amenities, etc. (I brought amenities), and the shower was abundant with hot water. I was happy with the cut fruit for breakfast. In addition to toast, you can choose from several menus for the main. I chose Thai stir-fry for the first night and vegetable omelet for the second night. It was delicious. Wat Mahartat is within walking distance. There were seven, cafe Amazon and outdoor food courts in the neighborhood, and the night market was within walking distance. We had a particularly lively night market on weekends. We were kind to everyone in the inn. Ayutthaya can be a day trip from Bangkok, but it was the correct answer to stay slowly.
