It is a well-located hotel located 2-3 minutes walk to Toyama Station. The distance you have to travel for a meal is also short because it is a restaurant nearby. However, I cannot have breakfast because I have to leave the hotel early in the morning for the Alpine Route trip, so it is a pity that all the accommodation plans provided by the hotel include breakfast.
I'm looking for suggestions that are both budget-friendly and clean. Cleanliness is a top priority for me, but I also need to stick to a tight budget. Any recommendations that balance both would be greatly appreciated. I'm open to various options, as long as they meet these two criteria. Thanks in advance for your help!
For the price paid, we were happy to have stayed here for the night. Room was nice and big and came with 2 breakfasts. As with most Japanese hotels, the personal amenities available are ample. Car parking lots were ample and located next to the hotel. We are thankful that we met an English speaking Bangladeshi staff, Rashid, who was of great help to us.
The hotel is right next to the exit of JR Shin-Kogaoka Station. Check-in can be done on the machine by yourself, and the staff will also ask for assistance, which is completely paperless. The breakfast is rich, and the hotel also provides luggage storage services. For dining in the evening, there is a large shopping mall AEON next to it. It is convenient to eat there or buy food in the supermarket, but it is a bit far to walk, about 15 minutes (convenience stores are a little further). There are not many street lights at night, so it is visible. Just think of it as energy saving.
The location of the hotel is very good, just a 2-minute walk from the station and the corridor. The pictures of the hotel are average, but the actual hotel appearance and the leisure reception area next to the front desk are both good. Check-in is also in the afternoon, but luggage can be stored for free. If you don't need to clean the room during your stay, the hotel will provide you with water. There is a large bathing area on the third floor for soaking.
The space in front of the bed in the room is spacious and convenient for activities. What I am not very satisfied with is that there is no quilt cover, but only a bed sheet under the quilt, which does not feel very comfortable when sleeping.
The hotel is a 10-15min walk from Toyama Station. Close to a conbini is a plus. Stayed only for a short period because went to Shirakawa-go early in the morning.
I had some styrofoam containers I'd received from a relative's house that were getting in the way, so when I asked if they could get rid of them, they kindly took them off my hands, which was a huge help.
I ended up freeing up the trunk of my car, so I was able to buy lots of souvenirs afterwards 😀Thank you so much.
Our room so spacious (based on japan standards hotel room size). Me and my friends came (14pax) and the receptionist was so helpful with a bit of chaos 😄. We’re so lucky got the booking for the very last minute.
The hotel is located at the north exit of Toyama Station. It is on the left side after crossing the road. It is very close. The north exit is quieter and close to the park. This room type of the hotel has a wide view, which I like very much. The room and bathroom are very spacious and comfortable. The Western breakfast is also delicious. In short, it exceeded expectations and I am very satisfied
The location is very good, close to JR Toyama, and opposite the department store. The room is big enough and comfortable, price is cheaper than Tokyo and Osaka. The breakfast is good and delicious. We can visit Toyama castle just by walking or tram.

Great
GGuest UserBeautiful hotel (about 7 min walk to the station) and was a great Ryokan experience as the room was traditional and had a breath-taking view. Futons were sufficiently comfortable - but wished there was the whole Ryokan welcome and fanfare.
Staff was welcoming but did not speak much English though they had papers of English instructions all ready. There was a free shuttle out of the hotel at fixed timings to the nearest Shinkansen (Unazukionsen Station)
Onsen was relaxing and was supplied with good quality products for every aspect of grooming. Lots of vending machines were available, there was a souvenir shop on site though pricey. We just did not enjoy the corridors as it gave out a creepy vibe (due to it being an older establishment), hence, we did not enjoy moving around the hotel). Facilities were beautiful and well preserved.
Food as part of the experience was a good and large helping. We opted for the full seafood experience but it had a lot of sashimi or cured seafood which was not to our own liking (we did not really know what we signed up for, really our fault!) Breakfast was a good spread and really hearty. A lot of traditional and local specialties to experience!
Overall a great stay!
(Shops in the vicinity closes at about 5pm and open at 10am)

TtruegeforceThe hotel is right next to Toyama Station. The lobby is on the second floor, with free coffee and tea. The room is not small. It is definitely recommended to stay here when going to Tateyama Kurobe. Turn left on the first floor and you will see the counter of Toyama Electric Railway. If you have booked tickets on the official website, you can directly pick up the tickets from the ticket machine. The hotel has breakfast. Although there are not many varieties, it is no problem to eat enough. The hotel is very considerate and provides various facilities, even shampoo can be selected by yourself. Check-in is after 3 pm. If you arrive early, you can store your luggage in the lobby first, and then go to the Toyama Art Museum. The nearby Kansui Park has the most beautiful Starbucks in Japan. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to take the bus or walk from the north exit of Toyama Station. If the weather is good, you can enjoy the unforgettable snow-capped mountain scenery on the top floor of the art museum.
GGuest UserThe room I booked should be the largest room with the best view in the hotel. It is indeed very comfortable and the buffet is very rich. However, there are many people and you need to go according to the scheduled time when checking in. Fortunately, I went later than the scheduled time. There were too many people queuing up when I went early. Because I didn't make an appointment for breakfast, I had to queue up on site, which took longer. I didn't expect so many people to travel in the off-season. I guess it's because the cost-effectiveness is high. The buffet is worth half of the room price.
AAndyStealth place, scenic spot
The accommodation needs to check in by yourself. The key lock also needs to call through Japan to ask for the accommodation password. It is better to have more preparation.
Parking location
5 rooms share 2 large shower rooms, there are wind couples in the shower rooms, and a small hot spring with wind couples on the sea. It is very private and very good.
Accommodation can rent his kitchen or cook with the accommodator
The room is very comfortable
AAnonymous UserAlthough it is like a guest house and the facilities are a bit older, it is very clean and has a large space, like a bachelor apartment. Heating is in place, although it was only autumn when I went. The bathrooms are really good. Every bathroom in Japan during my trip is a master of space utilization. The water pressure is sufficient and the drainage is smooth. Without exception, I admire them. Boiling the kettle is pretty cute hahaha. The location is good, just a minute or two walk to the train station. The area around the train station seems to be the busiest place in Toyama.
