The hotel staff is willing to answer our questions, only that the language barrier found. Other than that, the hotel is neat and clean, enough spaces to store 2 laths size baggage. One more, it will be nice if can provide 1 more foldable chair inside the room as we stayed in twin room.
Thanks for hospitality and appreciate much in our stay.
The room was very clean and the environment was very quiet. It was just that Japanese hotels have a 3:00 check-in policy, which was annoying. They would not let you check in early even if there were rooms available. As I was too tired, I had to spend more than 8,000 yen and check in at 10:00.
I think it's great, and the price is not too expensive. In fact, I found this place because I had a temporary problem with the hotel in Lake Kawaguchi, and I think it's a good deal! I will continue to book this hotel again later!
Just walking distance to all restaurants and Ofuna train station. The hotel itself looked very new especially on the lobby but the room is super small. The bedsheet was shedding and it seem like it has been over-washed or used for many many times. There is no view inside the room and you’re basically surrounded by all the buildings.
The breakfast is quite good with what they offered - western and Japanese cuisines.
The room was clean and well-cleaned. The building was also quiet, so I was able to relax. If I had to mention one thing, it would be nice if they offered to lend out hair irons. Also, there were only six lockers in the large bath, so there was no place to put my clothes, and some people shared one locker with someone else, and some people put a basket on the floor to put their clothes in. I think it would be better to add a few more lockers in the dressing room.
However, I'm not sure if the room was soundproofed, but I couldn't hear any noise in the hallway or from other rooms, so it was comfortable to stay in the room.
Very closed to metro station and u can find everything u need nearby. The main bad thing is the funeral home nearby, if u mind then u should find another hotel but I don’t mind.
April 2025: Got there an hour before check in and was informed that while my tent was ready that I would have to pay 1,000 Yen for the extra hour. I had a hire car so went back into town and came back later. Not the best introduction to the site. Very nice tent, good beds and pillows with a heater for the cold nights. Bathroom facilities were clean. Food very much aimed at local guests rather than foreigners. Note that there is some noise from overhead planes, the railway and motorbikes using the road below. Nothing deafening but it spoils the tranquility. Overall a good experience.
The room is clean, the service staff is very friendly, it's a 6-minute walk from Hiratsuka Station, and there are convenient living facilities nearby. There is also breakfast service. I highly recommend you stay here for one night.
The room is compact, but the facilities are complete, air conditioning, microwave oven and refrigerator are available, you can take a bath and drink tea every day, the transportation is very convenient, to the Yuanyebian station, about 200 meters, there is a car to the city center at 4:40 in the morning.

Outstanding
Xxy.fftThe service was really good, we had to drive from Tokyo so it took a while and we were kinda delayed by traffic for a bit due to it being one lane. Our hosts are really kind and help with parking our cars and bringing us our luggages. Although we thought it was advertised as a hotel, it's actually a ryokan. Really apologetic for the inconvenience from us during our stay there, we checked in late and even came back late during one of the night - resulting in us missing dinner service (they even set up and left some food for us). We also wanted to leave for the convenience store close to midnight, only to find out that the doors are all shut, we didn't want to make them do extra work so we went back to our rooms.
The rooms are great and the views are so beautiful, it's amazing to wake up to such greenery / mountain view. Breakfast and dinner service will be in the rooms and the staff will help us lay and keep our futons as well. I had the chance to soak in one of the private baths, it was really relaxing and nice, warms me right up since it was around 10 degrees in the autumn. Amenities provided are very adequate as well, even in the baths (public/private). Besides all that, there's a lounge area with massage chairs, it was the best thing ever, highly recommend to try it during your stay.
It's more convenient if you drive, there are convenience stores are few mins drive away. The entrance from the road is a really sharp bend so you need to take note in case you missed it. Plenty of parking space as well, wouldn't be a concern during your stay. Shoes are removed right at the lobby and kept by the staffs, very homely vibes.
Overall a pleasant stay with them and would love for more people to experience what I've experienced. Thank you to all staff and hosts who made it possible. If there's a chance, I'd love to visit again.
三三宅鳥I stayed here the night before going to the Oiso green pigeon habitat. It was relatively close to Chigasaki Station and in a conspicuous location, so I was able to check in quickly. The lobby was clean and the check-in procedure was easy to understand. I checked out without breakfast because I had to get up early in the morning. The rooms were clean and bright, so I was able to relax. The only disappointment was that there were not many coin laundry facilities compared to the size of the hotel.
EErik ChiangI recently had the pleasure of staying at the JR-East Hotel Mets Yokohama Tsurumi, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The location is incredibly convenient, especially for travelers looking to explore Yokohama or needing easy access to Tokyo. Being right next to Tsurumi Station makes it incredibly easy to get around without relying too much on taxis or long walks.
The room itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Though not overly spacious, it made efficient use of space, ensuring a pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless.
What stood out most was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The complimentary breakfast offered a nice variety of both Japanese and Western options, which was a great way to start the day.
If I had to find any fault, it would be that the hotel is located in a quieter part of Yokohama, which might not suit everyone's taste. However, for me, it added to the charm and made for a peaceful retreat after busy days of sightseeing.
Overall, I highly recommend the JR-East Hotel Mets Yokohama Tsurumi for its comfort, convenience, and outstanding hospitality. It offers excellent value for money and is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting the Yokohama area.
KkitekidThe exterior is in the style of a simple European manor, and the interior should have been renovated in recent years. The key is a traditional key with a long plexiglass room card, which is very impressive.
There is a natural hot spring private bath, where you can enjoy the view on the hillside. There are massage chairs, TVs, etc. in the bathing and changing lounge area for you to rest and cool down before returning to the room. The service is very considerate.
The breakfast is a Western set meal, which is exquisite and can be eaten as a breakfast. The restaurant faces the hillside and the scenery is invincible.
We arrived very late, and the front desk was also very friendly.
The front desk was also very friendly during the day, and they responded to every request. Luggage can be stored.
The bed and tatami are very good, and the quilt is a duck down quilt, which makes you sleep very comfortably at night.
The disadvantage is that you have to climb a slope to leave ”Gora”. There is a car to pick you up at 18:00 in the evening, so you can only climb if it's late. It's closer to ”Park Shang” and there is not such a big slope, but there is still a car at 22:00 on the mountain climbing line to ”Gora”, and there seems to be no car at 18:00 on the traction railway to ”Park Shang”. If you go late, you can only climb or take a taxi. We checked in late, so we only enjoyed the service of being sent to Gora after checking out.
AAdirekGreat location, a min walk to Yokohama station with many direct train lines to Tokyo to choose from plus, shopping and restaurants too. Considering how close to the train track the hotel is quiet and comfortable and clean! Staffs are friendly and helpful.
GGuest UserWe got to the hotel in the beautiful location just before 3pm and we got given a little tour of the place and then got shown to our room. The staff are very friendly and do their best to speak English. A lovely lady was in charge of our hospitality throughout our stay and she first showed us that there is a public hot spring and a private hot spring and asked us if we would like to book a time to use the private hot spring, we booked a time as we checked in but then we didn’t use it as we were happy with our private hot spring in the room. We also booked a time for dinner and they arrived at that time
Promptly with A LOT of food. We also got a choice for a staple food and we chose some steak which was high quality and delicious, as well as the lobster (on the menu it said grilled prawn but a lobster is what came and it was delicious). We ordered a few beers and a bottle of wine with room service and it always came quickly and was nice and cold.
The private hot spring is absolutely boiling but it’s a good experience and there’s ice water provided which helps.
Breakfast came at 8.30am and it was also huge! It didn’t come with coffee but I ordered some and that was easy enough.
The lady who served our food explained every dish and how to eat it and she was always extremely friendly and attentive.
Would recommend!
GGuest UserFirst of all, the price is amazing considering the location is close to the station. The room was clean and I was able to stay there without any problems. The breakfast looked delicious, so I would definitely like to apply and stay there next time. (You can also add it at the hotel.)
FFayethEven though it is a three stars hotel but I felt that it has way exceeded my expectations. I was afraid that the public facilities such as the onsen and eating area will not be maintained well but they were really clean. Nothing to complain about the room, it looks new and tidy. Other than the perks of having late night snacks, there are also reading corners, massage chairs and laundry (+dryer) machines. It is worth to at least try the breakfast for one day, the spread was extensive! Location wise, it is really convenient. It's just a few mins walk to the main streets and there is a direct train station to Haneda Airport.
AAnonymous UserLocation is superb if you’re a glutton for Chinese cuisines cause the famous Yokohama Chinatown is just steps away. Convenient traffic to other attractions by walk or metro. Room is clean and full-functional.
TThidarin TsujiI recently stayed at this hotel, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The location is perfect, with easy access to major attractions and transportation options nearby. The service was outstanding; the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and eager to help. My room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The housekeeping team did a fantastic job of maintaining the room's cleanliness throughout my visit. The on-site dining options were excellent, offering a variety of delicious dishes to suit different tastes. The hotel’s facilities, including the gym and lounge area, were well-maintained and added to the overall experience. I particularly appreciated the little touches, like the welcome drink and personalized service. The combination of a prime location, exceptional service, and comfortable accommodations made my stay memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect balance of convenience and quality!
