hotel when taking a flight to anywhere out of Vancouver. They also have a shuttle bus every half-hour to the airport. It can't be beat!
Excellent customer service from reception staff. Excellent breakfast facilities and pool for an early morning swim. Location within good proximity to city centre and public transport, but area a little rough at night.
Hotel room was good and spacious for opening of luggages. The stay there was quiet. It would be good if free parking could be provided at the hotel. The room could also have more table top space to allow people to put their things there.
Really enjoyed the Hotel Zen Victoria!! it had a very laid back feel to it. Took us back in time to the 70s and 80s. Those were the good old days!! Very nostalgic! Highly recommended!!!! Service was fantastic!! Restaurant was very good and the service was terrific!!
overall great location for capilano visit. cheap and responsible service, hot breakfast, easy parking, room is clean and no smell, old facilities, noisy heater
Convenient location. Overall clean and comfortable. The only thing is that breakfast is not included, but there are many restaurants around to choose from. The restaurant next to the hotel is very delicious
Nice hotel, clean and good size rooms. A bit out of the way in comparison to town. We were traveling with a large group and some hotel staff were accusing us of poor behavior even though we specifically told them we weren't part of the group they thought we were. Didn't matter though, the hotel staff in the hallways treated our children poorly, threatening them and were yelling at them for walking down the hallway to another room, even though the gentleman at the front desk didn't even know the kids were walking past when they did, we asked him. We made sure kids were in their rooms before 11 and we were on the 1st floor. Amenities were nice and Ricky's restaurant next door was convenient. However because of the poor treatment, we will not be back.
The hotel had plenty of parking, although accessing the hotel is confusing your first time as you cannot turn into the lot from both directions. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Blackout shades were great for sleeping in. Food at the restaurant was good but a bit over priced. And the free breakfast was very good.
The hotel is located in a new area, very conveniently located, next to Costco, and two minutes drive to McDonald's. The room we were given was very large, I added a kids cot for $15 per night, the facilities were very new, the beds were very clean, and there was a walk-out balcony to see the night view. It was only about 20 minutes to downtown Victoria, and I was generally satisfied.

AanzhuzhuVery good location at a great price! Highly recommend this place especially with amazing staff and daily housekeeping! The building itself is definitely slightly aged, but it's evident that the current management/owners are doing their best to improve the facilities.
The good - affordable coin laundry, communal kitchen, very big rooms, amazing rooftop patio and sauna, impeccable location in Vancouver downtown
The not so good - no breakfast options, communal kitchen's own pots and pans look iffy, slightly aged facilities (but the communal areas are definitely renovated in recent years)
Will stay again if I'm ever in that area!

Please do not underestimate how loud the music will be from the night club.
(General staff are very kind (they’re put into an awkward situation by the owners and night club ) and facilities are clean)
GGuest UserThis hotel was recommended by a friend. It was a very good accommodation experience. The hotel is clean and the rooms are well soundproofed. The service is thoughtful and the front desk staff is particularly warm and friendly. The hotel is fully equipped with a kitchenette. There are Walmart supermarkets, Chinese restaurants, and fast food restaurants nearby. The transportation is convenient, less than 100 meters away from the bus station, which can directly go to downtown, Swartz Bay (Victoria) BC Ferry Terminal, etc. I will choose this hotel next time I go.

I hope this message finds you well. I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn/Hilton in Vancouver and wanted to share some feedback regarding my experience with the front desk team.
Unfortunately, I found the level of service to be below the usual high standards I associate with the Hampton Inn/Hilton brand. Specifically:
I arrived at the hotel at 1:00 a.m. on December 15, 2024, and was informed by the front desk staff that I could not sit in the lobby because my check-in time was 3:00 p.m. The staff member's approach felt dismissive, and I was asked to leave the lobby, which was disappointing after a long journey.
Upon arrival, I even cant not have a cup of water, and it was not provided. Is this due to hotel policy, or was it an oversight? Basic services such as offering water to arriving guests are often considered a courtesy and can greatly improve the guest experience.
Additionally, the front desk staff seemed inattentive during check-in and did not address my concerns effectively. This lack of professionalism left me feeling unwelcome.
I understand that managing guest interactions can sometimes be challenging, but I believe addressing these issues could significantly improve the experience for future guests.

GGuest UserThe hotel was extremely busy, as it was a holiday weekend. The state of the hotel definitely showed an increase in volume and turnover. Our room, the entranceway, and the bathroom floor had white marks all over it. At first, it looked like a child walked into paint and then ran in and out of the room. However, with the smallest of elbow grease, I was able to remove most of the marks from the bathroom. In doing so, it looked more like dried oatmeal, but I couldn't be sure. My point is that it was impossible not to notice this mess and that someone made a conscious decision to leave it in this manner. They did this, knowing that it was a long weekend and that guests would be paying in some cases double what they normally would pay. At these prices, with taxes,fees, etc, we were over a grand for 2 nights. At these prices, you do expect the rooms to be in pristine condition. We had spoken to a staff member delivering towels to a nèar by room. He informed us that he would speak to his supervisor and that someone would be up shortly. At this point, it was late and we were at the end of a solid week of moving. We needed sleep more than anything. To the best of our knowledge, no one tried to reach us in regard to this issue. This is a beautiful hotel. However, more needs to be done to keep it that way.

The staff from the moment I walked in the door were amazing. They were super polite and very helpful and very informative for all my questions and needs. The room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. I came there for a relaxing weekend and got just that. The restaurant and lounge staff were so nice and on the ball. It was very busy there but they never skipped a beat and always made me feel like I was the only one in the room. I was super impressed with this.
It was disappointing that there was no hot tub as it was dealing with repairs at the time, hey these things happen, but the pool was great and the workout room/gym was very impressive as well.
Location of this resort is amazing, honestly can’t get much better. Spectacular views on beachfront to one the most popular beaches in this region. What a beautiful spot!!
I feel like I can go on and on, all and all I had a great experience at the Bayside Resort and I will definitely be back soon!!
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is very old, and the location is relatively close to the lake. The parking fee is 10 Canadian dollars. The garage is underground. Once you swipe your room card and enter the iron gate, the door will open automatically when you drive out. So you can just drive after checking out. It is not as tall as the lakeside hotel. , but the price/performance ratio is still relatively good
