Hotel located well in the centre of BH. There is a very close proximity to the 7th square and municipal park. Care: quick and friendly. Room: wide and clean. Wands are dirty. Also air conditioning. I stayed in room 814. I have noise from the street. The same thing every day. It doesn't have juices but cool. It gets buses for excursions so breakfast can be very complicated. We stayed without eating some ingredients on Saturday morning, leisure: I used the pool. I was clean. I didn't have parking. The room was cleaned every day, but no savon and shampoo were put in our rooms. I would be very close to shopping, but I would be again, and look for other hotels before going on.

The location is very close to the airport. There is a free shuttle bus to the airport. Just talk to the front desk of the hotel in advance. A little distance from the city center. The restaurant in the hotel is good. The price is not high. The taste is good.

I will start with good things: awesome location on the lake in a safe town, friendly staff (as much their lack of English goes), very comfortable mattress and delicious breakfast. BUT the rooms are NOT clean (as somebody already wrote, you see other people’s hair on the floor, bathroom), neither they clean floors during your stay. The furniture and facilities are quite outdated and bathroom is moldy. While the bed is huge, they don’t have fitting to it bedsheets - they barely cover the mattress and keep on sliding during the night. AND most important we got screwed upon checkout- someone twice put a dinner in our room, interestingly enough on one of our names… which was impossible to sort out with limited English skills of the staff. I am quite disappointed with the way it all went…

The best hotel in BH, fair price, service is of excellent quality, large rooms and well above the average of all the hotels I've ever been, leisure area and academy are excellent. The restaurant is perfect, I'm always very well served by the Fabio (owner) and by Gleyson, recommended to anyone.

I went there on Valentine's Day and found that the whole hotel is in order, especially on such anniversaries. Very cost-effective and worth it! The rich and varied breakfast makes the daily price more valuable. The room is also very nice. I just missed a heated swimming pool because the pool area is cool, but it is impossible to get in, it's too cold! For BH hotels, heating will be a big difference.

My stay at the Mecure was great. The rooms are of great quality clean. Great bed. I had an extended stay and was offered a great room, good views with a separate little living area and balcony. The breakfast at the Coffee Shop Experience great as well. Spread is good including regional food. Thank you Yessica, Kaylane, Vivian, Daniela, Daniele and Michael. Excellent restaurants within walking distance from the hotel and safe to walk around.

We stayed for almost ten long days in this hotel, where beds are uncomfortable and the elevators are always packed. The front desk staff is rude and will show you an attitude anytime you stop by to ask for help. During the checkout, they tried to charge us for breakfast on a day that we were actually in another city in Brazil. I had to show them the boarding passes to prove that we could not eat in the hotel because we were not in Belo Horizonte that day. They have a huge conference center that is always booked. Good luck trying to get a cab in front of the hotel. You will have to find space between the buses parked in front of the front entrance. Additionally, this hotel is on a hectic road, and the windows are not noise-canceling. Therefore, the rooms are very noisy. There is a Japanese restaurant on the premise where the service is equally lame, and the food sucks. We did not pass the appetizer because the waiter brought us the wrong beer and refused to take it back, and the tempura was disgusting. The manager is too lazy to fix that mess because they get enough money with the conferences. We are not coming back for sure!!

This is one of the best pousada hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. From the welcome at the outset through to the friendly send off 4 days later it was a joy to be a guest. Reception staff excellent and helpful, the concierge quite the best I have ever met, and then the room - steeped in colonial style and comfort. Stunning views to the hillsides and church opposite too. The restaurant was so good that my dear friend and I decided to ”eat in”. The waiting staff were superb and our first guides to Ouro Preto - how proud they were to give us tips and advice. The menu was inviting and the food tasty and reasonably priced. Breakfast was ample and a good start to the day. There was even afternoon tea served in the lounge where a wonderful log fire was lit in the evenings. Sheer comfort and joy. Nothing escaped attention. The national flag of international guests was flown from the time of their arrival. What a nice touch indeed! Archangel Inn is highly recommended to anyone who seeks a warm welcome, comfortable rooms, good food and undivided care and attention. A credit to Ouro Preto .....and Brazilian hospitality. Well done. We will most definitely return. Too good to miss.
