Great stay at this clean, conveniently located hotel. It’s right inside a covered shopping arcade that connects to many food options, and also just across the street from the tram stop and a large mall housing the bus terminal. Room was comfortable and of a good size. Free drinks are available at a quiet lounge area for guests, and there’s also a nice public bath to relax at too. Would recommend.
The hotel parking lot was probably full by early morning, but luckily there are a few parking lots nearby, though they're not cheap. The hotel is newly opened, so all the facilities are quite new. The only drawback is that there are far fewer hot spring baths compared to the previous branch in Kyoto, but thankfully there weren't many guests, so it wasn't crowded and the stay was quite comfortable. There are also many good restaurants nearby, so you can stroll around the area after dinner.
The hotel situated at the bus terminal where buses go directly from the airport.
Staffs are friendly and always happy to help.
Free coffee and tea at the lobby. Freshments like noodles you can get for free every night. Ice cream is free to take after 10pm. In the morning u can get free yoyurt.
Hot spring is very nice and hot. I would stay at the same hotel if I come again.
A pleasant surprise during my trip to Aso. Dinner was unforgettable, especially the wagyu beef. I ordered two extra portions. Breakfast was also excellent, a very traditional Japanese meal. They even thoughtfully gave me salmon gimbap when I left. The onsen experience was also very interesting, with several different bath styles. I highly recommend staying overnight at Aso for anyone passing through.
We had a great stay at Kamenoi Hotel Aso Park. We booked a room in the South Building, which was spacious, clean, and had a large, comfortable bed. The hotel provides yukata robes in various colors, which was a lovely touch for guests to enjoy the onsen experience.
♨️ The onsen was large and relaxing — perfect after a day of exploring Aso.
🚗 Parking was very convenient, located right next to the hotel. Just across the parking area, there’s a 24-hour convenience store called Obentou Hirai offering ready-made bentos, hot meals, ramen, and udon — extremely convenient for late-night snacks or quick meals.
🍱 We chose a room-only package without meals, and in the morning, we visited the local souvenir and food center at Aso Station. It had a great selection of local foods and breakfast options, plus plenty of gifts and souvenirs to bring home.
Overall, a comfortable stay with everything we needed nearby. Highly recommended if you’re exploring the Aso area!
The room was very spacious and the bathroom and toilet were clean. We could use the large public bath and guests were given free sorbet. They also provided individual transportation to the airport, which was very helpful.
It's located very near to the train station that is very convenient for travelling and with many restaurants around. Room is rather small but clean with all the necessities required. The public bath and free breakfast are extra bonus for the booking. We enjoyed our stay very much.
This hotel does not have water and is a bit far from convenience stores, so drinks are essential. Also, the walls are thin, which was a bit of a problem. I could hear sneezing and toilet noises in the hallway, so this is not suitable for people with sensitive skin. However, there were many types of shampoo at the front desk, and I was very satisfied with the containers that I could use.
The hotel is very superior, very good value for money, the hotel itself has a hot spring, while also gave us free tickets to the next hot spring park, hot spring park fun to eat, play, can allow more time to play, should be the highest quality hot spring park in Kumamoto City.
It was my first time staying here.
It was a very beautiful and relaxing space!
Breakfast was buffet style and delicious.
I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

Amazing
NNataliia KhokhlovaI really liked the hot springs with high iron content in this ryokan: I had sore throat for about 3 weeks before the journey, but it recovered just after the first bath. We also liked that family baths are for free if they are vacant (in the evening there wasn't any problem). The staff is attentive, thank you very much. The food was delicious, and there was more than enough for a man. However, we would recommend choosing a Japanese-style breakfast, since frying eggs on a burner is not very convenient. Nevertheless, everything was delicious. As for the drinks for breakfast, there was only coffee from the coffee machine. But there is always green tea in the room (we had problems with the hot pot, so they brought us a thermos).
The only thing we did not like was the heating. However, it is unlikely to do anything with it when it is minus 3 degrees outside at night. Without heating, it was very cold, the floor was cold. But the heating is very noisy, and it is difficult to find a temperature balance. We sweated a lot at night under the blankets, and since the shower is not in the room - it is in the onsen, it was inconvenient. Thanks God, we had spare pajamas with us.
Overall, for this cost of accommodation we can give 5 points.

GGuest UserI remembered that the rice was delicious when I went there before, and it was delicious this time as well. It's a shame that the open-air bath in the room can no longer be used for morning baths! But the bathhouse was close by, so I went there instead. It's also a shame that it was difficult to see Mt. Aso! Overall, it's a satisfying inn.

__M1521435****I finally realized my long-held dream of staying here, having booked the room over half a year in advance. Its location is indeed quite remote, nestled deep in the mountains. Upon arrival, a car picked us up directly from the hot spring bus stop, and the elderly driver was incredibly warm and friendly! The heavy rain on the day of our visit truly enhanced the ambiance. The room itself was incredibly spacious. Surprisingly, even in June and with the rain, it got so cold at night that we needed to turn on the air conditioning. The cuisine was also quite sophisticated. Dinner was exquisite, though the portions were a bit on the small side, leaving me not quite full... The private six-foot outdoor bath was absolutely unforgettable – a definite must-book! If I had to nitpick, for a price tag exceeding 3000 (currency unspecified), I expected the service to be a touch more enthusiastic and friendly. I couldn't shake the feeling of being treated slightly differently (compared to what I observed for local Japanese guests and Westerners). Having stayed at no fewer than 10-20 hot spring ryokans in this price range, I'd say claims of 'superb service' are a bit of an overstatement. Overall, I'd give it an 80/100, and despite the minor points, I still highly recommend it!
