Zhangjiajie Fanbowan Hotel (Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park Dayong Ancient City Branch)

This hotel is lovely and felt like a treat for a very affordable price. It was hard to find at first (go up the stairs into the gold building lobby and take the lift to the 13th floor). It's sign posted as the Vanble hotel. The staff were accommodating and even though we didn't have a view to the front of the buildin in our room, the rear view was still beautiful. Unfortunately we were kept up at night because of the noise upstairs which was constant but appreciate that's not something the hotel can control.

Our stay at Fanbowan Hotel was truly outstanding! The rooms were excellent—spacious, clean, and luxurious. The breakfast was great, with a wide variety of high-quality options. However, the service is the real highlight. Every staff member was wonderful, especially Oda at reception, who was incredibly helpful and made our stay so pleasant. Small note for improvement: Finding the entrance for the first time after booking via Trip.com was a little tricky due to the lack of immediate signage. Overall, a fantastic experience and highly recommended! 10/10!

Very good experience staying in this hotel. This hotel is exceptionally clean and modern. They provides quality toiletries. We stayed in the room which is facing to the river. The waiting area which has a small library and tea serving area is facing the river. The breakfast area is facing the river as well and has a magnificient view. The staff were very helpful and very patient to explain to us in Wechat, how to navigate around Zhangjiajie city. On our arrival, they send a driver to pick us up from Zhangjiajie West High Speed train station. This service is free of charge and we were happy as we don't have to worry to find our hotel. They also helped us to buy entrance tickets to Tianmenshan. They serve very nice and healthy breakfast which included a small selection of buffet style breakfast, and we enjoyed very much the noodles specially cooked for us. After breakfast, we checkout the hotel and put all of our luggages in the reception area and make our way to Tianmenshan After we came down from Tianmenshan, we went back to the hotel and have a brief rest at the waiting area. The staff introduce us to eat dinner at a nearby restaurant which is famous among the locals. After dinner, we took our luggages from the hotel and make our way to Wulingyuan. We wanted to snap some photos of 72 towers while on our way to Wulingyuan. The staff helped us to book Didi and arranged the driver to make a brief stop at 72 towers and we managed to take some very nice photos of the 72 towers.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in China! Usually, my main concern is the quality of the room and its location—not the breakfast or food. But this hotel truly surprised me with both its price and amenities. The room was spacious, offering double panoramic views of the city and the river. The light, calming colors of the room made it even more relaxing. If I visit Zhangjiajie again, this will definitely be my first choice!

Clean room and nice staff. The hotel is not close to the 72 wonder buildings.
