"We had an amazing 5D4N stay at Foggy Valley for our ZZJ trip. They have, in our opinion, the best location to enjoy good air & and the best sceneries day and night. Highly highly recommend 👌 The place is so serene. The room is so comfortable - all room amenities available. They even have softdrinks, snacks, and tea daily in the room. Bedroom slippers are those quality ones. They offer so so much. Try the local zzj wine and beer available at their cafeteria. Good spread of breakfast, too. With all that said, the people and staff working at Foggy Valley are the essence of this place. Every one of them were thoughtful, dedicated, and hospitable, literally everyone. They made us feel so at ease throughout the stay. As i was very confuse about the tickets to the attractions, they helped us make the purchase, settled the complicated entrance booking every single day and keep up with us daily to make sure we are enjoying ourselves and offer any help they can. We are soooo thankful they made our experience 100% hassle free, very peaceful, very happy. We will definitely stay with them again if we come to zzj and recommend to all our families & friends."

"This hotel is exceptionally comfortable — the rooms are clean, cozy, and equipped with all the essentials. The double room features a spacious and very comfortable bed. The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly. They didn’t just offer a warm welcome — they also helped me book discounted tickets to Zhangjiajie Park and even put together a personalized tour plan based on how much time I wanted to spend there. The location is super convenient too — it’s only about one kilometer from the East Gate of the park, making it easy to reach on foot or by taxi. There’s also a vibrant street nearby filled with cafés and shops. I highly recommend this hotel — you won’t regret it!"

"Excellent! The owner was incredibly accommodating. Our flight was delayed and we didn't land until 11 PM, so we arrived at the hotel well past midnight, but the owner patiently waited for us. Even better, right after I made the reservation, the owner contacted me, added me on WeChat, and shared some really helpful local tips. As a lovely farewell gesture, they even gifted us two boxes of Maylandia tea, a specialty from Zhangjiajie. The food at their restaurant was absolutely delicious, and the portions were very generous. Our room was also spotless and came with an instant hot water dispenser. We'll definitely be returning!"

"I recommend this hotel without hesitation! I had such a great stay in this hotel The hosts are great and very very very helpful. We only stayed 2 days in Zhangjiajie and wanted to do so many things and we couldn’t organize correctly our trip but the host helped us to organise all the activities and gave us so much advice He also helped us to book tickets with some tips and discounts! The location is only at 20 minutes by walk from the Zhangjiajie National Park East Entrance The bedroom was great and we had a great landscape of Zhangjiajie from the breakfast room on the rooftop All the staff was really warm and welcoming Thank you a lot for the help and for the stay, my friends and I are really grateful!"

"It takes about an hour to get to the hostel near the west gate entrance of Zhangjiajie Forest Park from the high-speed rail station. This hostel has a unique geographical location and occupies a large area. There are mountains and forests on all sides, the air is fresh, the scenery is beautiful, and the facilities are very modern. This time we rented a suite, which was big enough for three people to share. The hotel is fully equipped with restaurants, swimming pools, public spaces, etc. It is rare to be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the primeval forest and have an intimate accommodation experience. What is surprising is that this hostel is managed by only a few young people. They are polite, always available, and provide considerate service. Their attitude towards people is more mature than that of many people in their twenties or thirties. There were also two waitresses in the hostel who spoke fluent English, were gentle and very friendly. One of them often accompanied the boy in a golf cart to take us to the entrance of the scenic area and dinner in town. Later I learned that the two girls were recent university graduates majoring in English, and the butler was a local Tujia person. His warm hospitality was worthy of praise. The hostel has two restaurants, one large and one small. The small one provides breakfast, and the large restaurant is where we can go for dinner. The waitress was a young Tujia woman, wearing a round-brimmed hat. She was smiling and friendly, and offered us fragrant local berry tea. We ordered several dishes including fat fish, fried mugwort cakes, stir-fried pork with vegetables, shredded potatoes, etc., which were very delicious. Especially the fried mugwort cake, which is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a refreshing mugwort flavor, and is very distinctive. The hostel’s breakfast consists of simple pastries, steamed buns, scallion noodle soup with different toppings, milk, and boiled eggs. The ingredients are fresh and each dish has a fresh and original flavor. After breakfast, the young supervisor will drive us to the west gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in a golf cart. His colleagues arranged and explained the full-day itinerary for us in advance. Entering the park from the west is because it is closest to the hostel and most tourists enter from the east. During the May Day Golden Week, it is suitable to avoid the crowds. As a result, our trip went very smoothly and we didn't have to wait long for the ride or the tour. It was already 8 o'clock in the evening when we returned to the hostel. The last dining time at the hostel’s large restaurant had passed, but luckily our young supervisor once again took us to the town to prevent us from going hungry and recommended a local restaurant. After dinner, we were surprised to see the young manager already waiting in front of the store to take us back to the hostel. This enthusiasm is touching! In addition, the resort originally had two dogs with rough life stories, the pastoral dog Zhaocai and the Border Collie Duoduo. They had been injured by traps before, and many of them were lame. When I learned about them from the Internet, I was eager to get to know them. Unexpectedly, Duoduo got lost three days before we checked in. The male butler loved Duoduo very much and said that he couldn't sleep well at night because Duoduo was lost. Zhaocai is also very humane and friendly to us. As long as the guests call loudly, it will run over from its resting place. I hope that next time I come to Zhangjiajie, I can see Duoduo and Zhaocai waiting for us in the hotel."

"The place is amazing! Friendly staff, spacious villas, delicious food,... If you have spent some days in Zhangjiajie National Park, I recommend you to stay here and then go to the grand canyon. You can relax before you go there: in the pool, in the hot water... Even in your own bathtub. Here I tried the giant salamander dish. "This guesthouse is located near Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park, and the golden view is absolutely delightful. You can open the door and see the mountains, which is fantastic. But what really impressed me and deserves the most praise is how incredibly nice the owner is. 1. They upgraded our room, which was super cool. 2. They carefully explained the forest park's attractions and even custom-designed an itinerary specifically for our needs. Following the owner's suggested route, we saw all the must-see sights and avoided any potential pitfalls. Most importantly, the owner said this route would minimize queues, and indeed, we didn't have to wait in long lines at all. 3. The owner provided free pick-up and drop-off to the park's South Gate. 4. They even helped us transport our luggage from the guesthouse to the South Gate after we checked out, saving us at least forty yuan in luggage storage fees at the scenic area. Absolutely amazing! I have to give this owner the highest possible rating!!! Oh, and since the guesthouse is in the mountains, the evening temperatures are perfect. Sitting on the guesthouse swing and enjoying the cool evening air was incredibly comfortable!!! For the same price, choose this guesthouse!"

"The hostel is located about a 7-minute ride from the South Gate, and a Didi ride only costs around 6 RMB. The kind lady boss was very helpful and even assisted us in booking a Didi when needed. Considering the price we paid — which included free breakfast — it was quite a good deal. We stayed in the tatami room located on the 4th floor, so be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs. One downside was that the air-conditioning in the room wasn’t cold enough, making it difficult to sleep comfortably on hot summer nights. My child was initially excited to see the pool, but unfortunately, it wasn’t clean — there were quite a lot of dead bugs floating in the water. On the bright side, the room had a spacious balcony where we could hang our clothes to dry and enjoy the peaceful, scenic surroundings. The hostel also has an adorable one-year-old dog named Mian Bao (which means “bread” in Chinese) — a cute little highlight of our stay!"
