Zhangjiajie Qishi Li Cave Homestay (National Forest Park Flagship Store)

This is a rare designer guesthouse/hotel where you can actually encounter bats and caves. Of course, the bats aren't in the rooms; they're in their cave bar, which is a natural local cave. It features a narrow, elongated tunnel barely wide enough for one person to pass, and natural stalactites dripping with spring water, creating a truly unique atmosphere. The 'designer' aspect truly shines through in the hotel's distinctive design ethos. Each room is unique, and the overall flow and layout are incredibly thoughtful, setting it apart from any other hotel I've experienced. It really has its own personality and vision. It's referred to as a 'guesthouse' because it stands apart from conventional hotel chains, operating entirely on its own principles. The warm and understanding concierges and front desk staff, the thoughtful arrangement of in-room amenities, and the breakfast offerings all showcase their distinctive commitment to quality. Yet, it deserves the title 'hotel' because it genuinely offers accommodation that rivals full-fledged hotels. (Especially when compared to the numerous unappealing inns along the road, this place truly lives up to the 'hotel' standard.) Its location is superb, very close to the entrance of the Zhangjiajie Scenic Area. It's just a short stroll to the performance venue (whose name I can't recall), and the renowned People's Cafe. All in all, it made an excellent first impression on me and my family, who were visiting Zhangjiajie for the very first time. If there's one minor drawback, it's that the hotel boasts numerous room types, each with its own distinctive charm. This means you might want to view several before deciding, but unfortunately, many of the most popular types tend to be fully booked well in advance, leaving one feeling a little like they missed out. Nevertheless, this choice was certainly not a wasted one.
