Zhangjiajie Qinghuan Homestay (Tianmen Mountain Cableway Store)

The Place is walkable to the Tianmen mountain cable car. Near Central station bus so quite convenience go to Zhangjiajie national park.

The room was spacious and clean. The owner was very kind and even gave us a free room upgrade. They also helped us purchase attraction tickets, which was super convenient. Plus, the location is excellent — just a short walk to many major tourist spots.

Great location - just a short walk to the Tianmen Cableway. Clean room. Easy check in and check out. Communication with the owner is superb - helped us book tickets to all tourist spots in Zhangjiajie.

The host is terrible - she did not provide the check-in details such as the actual unit and passcode to access the property even when I told her we were arriving at the estimated timing. She did not even pick up the WeChat call when I called her. It is only after a while that she called back. By then, we have found other accommodation alternatives. But in the end, we still stayed at her unit because the alternative accommodation was equally bad. My advice is never to stay in a China homestay, it is just terrible and unbelievable. The host is only keen to earn your money as she keeps asking us whether have we bought the attraction tickets and she could do so at a favorable price. We did not take up the offer sensing something was amiss. The corridor to the unit was dark and eerie. The bed mattress in both rooms were hard and literally did not have sponge. Definitely would not recommend staying at this place. Luckily, we only booked one night and we check-out early in the morning.
