I came with my 2 Children and I highly recommend this place. The hotel is amazing with a cool yard / lobby area and our room was well equipped + super clean. Staff was so nice and helpful we actually got an upgrade. The best about it maybe the location, it's close to the beach and in a small village that is still quiet with a very laid back vibe (it almosy feel feels like Thailand, ot at least how I knew Hainan 10 years ago) There is plenty of shops/coffee/ restaurant right on the door step. Surfing spots are nearby with waves for all levels (if come with kids I recommend going nearby the bridge on the right side of the beach). We will come back !

My room on the 3rd floor was quite nice and had a beautiful view of the mountains. The team at Surfers Garden is great. They were friendly and helpful from the time I booked up until the day I left. There are convenience stores, restaurants, rentals and other amenities close by, making the location great.

Second time staying here in Surfer's Garden. Super friendly to foreigners. Staff can speak some conversational English. Great vibes here if you love active travel with local night life experience. It's located in the village, but it's easy to reach out to the beach line just in 10-15 min walk or several minutes on a e-scooter that you can rent directly in the store. Welcome to negotiate for a better rent price 😁. 60 - ＞ 40 RMB. If you are lucky, you might can find a lower price in the village. Many local food stores and convenience stores just outside of hotel. For renting the surf board, I'd recommend go directly to the stands right on the beach (right side of the beach, closer the bridge that connects the island with living compound). 80-100 RMB per board for one time use (a couple of hours). Absolutely must go to Kaya and other bars for late drinking and partying! You can meet lots of cool young Chinese people.

The vibe at Surfers Garden is chill and cool but a little bit too much. My room had no towels, no toilet paper. Cabinet to store my things in the shared room couldn’t lock. The room itself can’t lock from the outside as well and too often when I was looking for someone at the reception there were no one … When you finally catch someone to give you a towel, be aware that it’s a disposable towel. So better bring your own. In the morning, don’t hope to get a coffee at their bar before 9am or 10am. The whole place looks a bit messy and the reception space looks unfinished. Staff is friendly tho. The guesthouse is surrounded by many little shops and local restaurants. You can reach the Ri Yue Wan beach where you will find bar/coffee, clubs, shops, surfing clubs etc. in 15 min walking or 5min by e-bike. Ri Yue Wan beach area is definitely the place to be to enjoy a good “beach/surfer” vibe sipping a cocktail in front of the beach. At night, this place turn into a music festival area where everyone display live show music and DJ and expect fireworks on the beach almost every 15min. If you are looking for surfing club in this area, I would recommend to check Shaka surf club. Good service, good price, and so far the most professional to me at Ri Yue Wan.

looks the hostel used the cheapest furniture from taobao and decorated with it. the table is not stable, the bed is falling apart, the bathroom is below standards. you will get a single use towel. not cheap, for a hostel.

Surfers garden is located in the village of RiYue, not far from the beach. It is a surfers hotel with just the right vibe. A bit greek style, with a coffee bar and a guitar. The guy who usually makes the coffee wasn't there, so we did it ourselves. The atmosphere in the hotel is laid back. Next to the reception area is an open living room/instruction room, with a collection of surf- and skate boards. The room itself was clean and fresh, had a nice view of the garden but the beds were a bit hard.

It’s a 20 min walk to the beach - I’d recommend renting a scooter if you are staying for more than a night. The walking route is through some dusty road in repair and you have to cross some sort of highway - not the most convenient. Though it’s located in a lively neighborhood with lots of food options. The reception area is sort of messy and there’s no real space to hangout. It feels more like an unfinished lobby space with carton boxes on one side and work out equipments on another. Could be better so arriving residents can feel more welcomed.

The service was okay. When we wanted to upgrade our room to something better, they were very nice and helped us get another room which wasn't much more expensive. The facilities were okay too. It's a pretty chill place so I wasn't expecting much. The beds were nice and soft. The air conditioning worked well. I like the screen projector. It's close to a nice hot pot and late night barbecue place too. We were able to get food after 3 AM, which is a plus.

Friendly staff, restaurants and coffee available either side of the accommodation. Beach is 8 minutes walk away.

The room is great. It is one of the few youth hostels in Tianxin Village with bed curtains. The bathroom is in the room, which is very convenient. The small courtyard and public area outside are also large. The location is relatively central in the village, and it is very convenient for breakfast and noodles. The door is slightly not soundproof, and it is noisy at 8 or 9 o'clock in the evening. Fortunately, it is quiet outside after 10 o'clock. The overall feeling is great and the price is not expensive.

The boss is very nice, the room is very clean, there is food downstairs, you can order food and have it delivered upstairs, nice! Highly recommended!

The room is consistent with the pictures, very clean, and the front desk will respond to any needs. The guys in the store are so friendly😭 You can play video games, sing songs, and repair dogs in the store! This place is perfect for families to travel. It really feels like a full rest. You come exhausted and leave full of energy.

The location of the hotel is easy to find, there are many delicious foods nearby, and it is also very close to the beach!! The room is very clean and has a separate bathroom. There is also a cute Shiba Inu in the store, which is very well behaved and easy to pet. The guy at the water bar made a delicious drink, Pink Lady. I also met a lot of new friends here, singing and playing games together. The atmosphere is very good. It is an unforgettable experience.
