Upon check-in I was told I had a room in the “annex.” It turns out it was just an entrance on the side of the building - no big deal! The room was immaculately clean and perfectly fine for what I needed. The gentleman who checked me in took me to the room, explained about the plethora of keys needed to enter the different doors, and showed me how to use the air con.  The room has few amenities and was small, but slightly better than I expected, to be honest. There were slippers and a nice shower.  The location was great - very short walk everywhere.  I actually tried to extend my stay but the hotel was sold out for the next 2 days. I would definitely stay again.

The location is good, very close to the square, but the bathroom is small and the house is old. There is no view outside the window, only the wall of the opposite house.

The Hotel is located a few steps from Piazza San Marco, excellent quality/price ratio, professionalism and complete availability from the reception staff.

The staff was very kind and helped us plan the next day's travels together. I was also happy with the free cookies! There is no elevator, so it may be a bit tiring for people with large luggage.

Stayed at Hotel San Gialo in Venice for three days in early November. As many tourists left comments praising the hotel, it is clean, tidy, antique, and has free self-brewed coffee. Especially it is very close to all major attractions, very close, it can be said that it is within easy reach! And here I especially want to praise Ms. Huang at the front desk of the hotel! For me, a free traveler who barely speaks English and is alone, I am grateful to the quiet and beautiful Italian-Chinese girl Miss Huang! When I came to the front desk of the hotel, I found that the staff was Chinese, so I asked her if she could communicate in Chinese. Although Ms. Huang is Italian, she was able to communicate with me fluently in Chinese, which really made me overjoyed! Ms. Huang was patient and enthusiastic. She used colored pens on the map to carefully tell me how to get to the airport, how to get to the waterway, how to get to the bus, how much the fare was, how long it took, how to buy tickets for the water bus, and how to take the water bus. These are really important to me! Suddenly I felt more at ease and in a very happy mood😊😊😊Here, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Ms. Huang again! I also hope that independent travelers like me will choose to stay at the San Giallo Hotel in Venice. I believe you will be as lucky as me to meet the warm and lovely Ms. Huang!

It's so quiet and nice. The staff are very friendly. I will book this hotel again next time I come to Venice. You can reach the square in about 5 minutes' walk from your door, which is very convenient.
