Kimpton Bamboo Grove Suzhou

Bringing children to Suzhou for a visit, it was a pleasant surprise to choose to stay at Kimpton Bamboo Hotel. Let's talk about the facilities first. The hotel is in garden style, with careful design and layout. I booked a room with a courtyard, and the housekeeper was also upgraded (probably because the room was bigger). The hardware and supplies of the five-star hotels that have opened in recent years are basically not bad, but Zhuhui is the only one equipped with an air purifier. In terms of service, there are more people during the New Year, but the hotel service is very good and there are many folk activities to experience. There is no need to queue for breakfast and the ingredients are rich in variety. There were too many people during the social time, so I didn’t have time to experience it. I will try it next time. Special thanks to the housekeeper Rachel for her thoughtful and meticulous service and for giving small gifts to the children. In terms of location, there is Huanyuhui outside, so you can basically solve the dining problem. It is very close to the subway station and not far from Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator's Garden and other attractions, so it is very convenient for travel. If I come to Suzhou again, I will still choose Zhuhui.

The breakfast is quite rich, and there is fresh coconut juice, but the taste of Chinese food is quite average, maybe I am not used to it. The room is quite spacious, but the bathroom design feels weird. Water will flow out when taking a shower, even with a floor towel. I don't like the large bottles of toiletries. The shampoo doesn't work well, and I don't like the smell of hand soap. The air conditioner in the room is warm in winter even if it is turned off, which is good. Although butler service was arranged and we communicated check-in matters in advance by phone, it was of no use. We were told in advance that there were 2 adults and 1 child, and the slippers and toiletries were still shared by the two of us. Is it equivalent to a mobile front desk? Overall, the price of more than 1,000 is a bit tasteless. Next time I go to Suzhou, I will either choose the cost-effective Atour or choose a hotel near Jinji Lake.
