"Location is great if you love living in an ancient castle, worth starting here for the experience and I love the environment. Service of staff was not pan Pacific level though. I've emailed and submitted enquiry on their hotel website but did not receive and response. Attitude of service staff was poor, bellboy's tone was near rude. I recommend staying just for the environment, don't expect good service standards."

"For my trip to Suzhou, I chose the Crowne Plaza after seeing many recommendations online. It definitely lived up to its online reputation; the lake view was absolutely stunning. Upon entering the lobby, you're immediately greeted by a panoramic and absolutely gorgeous lake view. The hotel's decor is also very grand and impressive. Its overall architecture, resembling a cruise ship, is truly unique. What's particularly worth praising is the hotel's breakfast. The restaurant is very spacious and located right by the lake, offering fantastic views. Plus, the breakfast spread is incredibly rich and diverse, with so many options to choose from. The complimentary travel photoshoot from 'Seven Degrees' (七度旅拍) offered by the hotel was a pleasant surprise and quite good. The photographer was very dedicated and professional, and I was also very pleased with how the photos turned out. Highly recommended!"

"I've stayed at numerous Marriott hotels, and this one was quite disappointing. The parking lot is tiny with no EV charging points. The robot delivery for our food order was slow, and I couldn't find any staff on the ground floor when I went down. There was a vent right outside our room door blowing hot air. Also, I couldn't help but notice that some staff seemed very patient with foreign guests, but less friendly towards domestic visitors. Was it just my impression?"

"Room was in poor condition, the rug was spilled and dirty, bedsheets had stains. The bathroom has no ventilation to let the floor dry. The bathtub was black from scratches and stains. In 4 star hotels in other cities there are better kept rooms for half the price. Staff only speaks Chinese."

"Best hotel service throughout my trip in China this time! Hotel staff are really attentive, friendly and helpful. They patiently answered my questions, helped me carry my luggage to the room, helped us book a grand canal boat trip (near the Confucius Temple) and drove us to the location and waited until we finish the boat trip and drove us back to the hotel. No telephone in the room, so make sure to add the hotel wechat to communicate with staff. They also helped me visit a silk mini museum/factory/store, since I wanted to buy a silk quilt (again they drove me to location, waited, and drove me back to hotel). Very happy, since I successfully bought a 5 pounds-weight silk quilt (equal to 2.5 kg of silk) for a good price! I've tried the silk quilt at home, very soft and comfortable, and had a very good night sleep. In front of the hotel there is a road construction (government project), so when I left for airport, staff again drove me to the main street and waited until my didi car arrived. As you can see in the picture, the hotel is really pretty. It was converted from a historical mansion. The hotel is next to pingjiang road, so don't be surprised if in the afternoon there are street photoshoots (girls in hanfu and photographer) in front of the hotel. Bed was comfortable, and there is a wide sofa next to the window. The room is equipped with coffee machine, and there is an air purifying machine so you can drink water from the machine (can be set for warm, cold, or hot water). There is a mini refrigerator with beverages, mostly free for drink (milk, soda, water), while for beers need to purchase. They also gave a welcome fruit and biscuits in a basket. The room key was very pretty. Bathroom was divided into 3 parts (WC, wash basin, shower room) and also really pretty. When I left, they still gave me a packet of souvenir containing Suzhou's snack (nut, preserved fruit, biscuit, etc). For breakfast, staff will ask your preference (chinese or western style). I chose chinese style and they provided noodle, pork, etc. Very delicious! Staying in pingjiang road is very convenient. Many attractions are in walking distance (from several meters to 2 km), such as pipayu performance, kunqu museum, humble administrator's garden, etc. Many performances nearby in the afternoon and evening that you can choose. Overall I really in enjoy my stay in this hotel. Will stay here again if I visit Suzhou in the future. Thank you!"

"The environment is very good. The homestay has spent a lot of thought on the design. The garden landscape should also be designed. It feels like retreating to the mountains. It is surrounded by mountains, fresh and leisurely. The sanitary conditions are also good. The room is clean and tidy, and the cost performance is high. The boss's service is thoughtful and timely. He will answer any questions. If there are any problems, the housekeeper will also actively solve the problems. The breakfast is quite delicious. It is a good place to travel around."

"Very disappointing stay in this Fourseasons hotel! Does not live up to the fourseasons standard as we stay often at other fourseasons hotel.  Problems: 1. Lack of doormen upon our arrival. There was only one guy at the front who did nothing except ordering our driver to move our luggages! 2. Very slow room service for breakfast delivery. I ordered simple Chinese breakfast daily since I was sick. It took them 45mins to 1 hour for them to delivery it to my room which at other Fourseason it takes 20-30 mins maximum. It also takes long time for them to come pick up the cart. Poor food quality , overcooked noodles and over fried churro ( you tiao)  3. Very crowded and noisy pool area ( both indoor and outdoor), the pools looked very nice in the photo. but in reality it was full with people, lots of noise and kids...My 2 adulte children just gave up going to the pool altogether...  Small outdoor pool for the amount of guests there even though the hotel was only 60-70% full during our stay. 4. Very high price for the Chinese restaurant which was so so compare to other fourseasons in China. Lack of choices for the western food restaurants. for 2 days it is ok, but more than 2 days, it become difficult in terms of menu... 5. I booked a premier lake view room which suppose to have a nice lake view, except the room I was assigned to 2/3 of the view was the roof of other houses....to the best, one can qualify it as very partiel lake view..."

"A perfect spontaneous getaway. The hotel service was exceptional. Upon check-in, they even added us on WeChat, and were incredibly responsive to any reasonable request. From the front desk staff to the housekeeping team, everyone was incredibly efficient and genuinely warm. A special shout-out to the lady at the breakfast pancake station, who warmly recommended a delicious chicken pancake. It was so truly exceptional, I devoured it before I could even snap a photo! When the noodle chef wasn't around, she even went to help at the noodle bar. What a wonderfully enthusiastic and hardworking 'busy bee'! This hotel is a real gem, and I'll definitely be back!"

"The hotel is just 300 meters from Leqiao Station, offering a peaceful yet central location that makes getting around incredibly convenient. A major highlight for me was the spacious underground parking. After a two-night stay, I used parking vouchers to cover ¥120 of the parking fee when checking out. Driving and parking in the city center are notoriously difficult, so having complimentary parking was an absolute godsend. The rooms are a bit dated; some power outlets were loose, and the carpet showed signs of wear. However, the price was quite reasonable compared to other five-star hotels, especially considering even small guesthouses in this area can cost upwards of ¥500. I checked in late and my original room type was sold out, but fortunately, the front desk upgraded my room. This thoughtful gesture truly enhanced my Suzhou trip and left me with warm memories."

"Much better than expected! The venue is large enough, no need to worry about parking difficulties, 🈶 Maple forest with lake view, the room is spacious, and there is a bathtub, which is good, suitable for a family of three. The service is so satisfactory. Before you finish checking in, the front desk lady EMily chen will pour you delicious free health tea. The red date and longan health tea is delicious, and the breakfast variety is rich. Next time you come to Suzhou, I will choose Chunshen Lake Hotel!"
