Great
GGuest UserIt feels good, has a good design style, and is a very nice hotel. I am also recommended by locals to stay here. It has its own characteristics and good service.

DDhiraj Kuwar”Absolutely fantastic experience! The hotel exceeded all our expectations with its exceptional service, immaculate rooms, and top-notch amenities. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel at home. A perfect 5/5 – we can't wait to return!”
RRavissara S.The location is very nice, very close to the Central Station. Room is clean. Hotel Staff are all friendly and generous. Breakfast line is very extensive. Foods are tasty. Gluten-free options are also available. The only downside is there are very few amenities. There are towels but no slippers, no toothpaste/toothbrush. However, I understand that it is due to the eco-friendly policy and such. Overall, it is a good hotel.

11851634****We arrived quite late, but luckily the hotel's location was incredibly convenient, right outside the station. The service was excellent, and while the room was small, it was very cozy. The entire hotel had a high-quality feel to its decor. Breakfast was also delicious, living up to its five-star reputation. I'll definitely stay here again if I get the chance!

GGuest UserNuma has a superb and user-friendly app that makes check-in and check-out a breeze. You can also request a late check-out or add other services directly through the app, though these come with additional charges if you choose to use them.
The room itself was brighter and spacious — we booked a larger version of the standard room. It even came with a washing machine, which we were really excited about since it was the only property during our trip that had one. Unfortunately, it didn’t have a dryer function (or perhaps we might have missed it), so drying our clothes after washing was a bit of a challenge.
The distance from Oslo Train Station was manageable, but do take note that if you’re carrying big or heavy luggage like we were, the pavements leading to the property can be quite tricky to navigate.
Overall, it was still a good and comfortable stay.

AAnonymous UserThe service was bad, the sign of do not disturb was hung up, and when I went out to play, I was still entered by the waiter without authorization. During the stay, I refused to clean the room. The reason given by the front desk was that I did not check out and check in before 12 noon. It was ridiculous and did not meet the service standards of a 4-star hotel. Bad review
GGuest UserVery good location. Breakfast is excellent, super complete and very good quality. One point against is that they have one spresso machine and people are gathering waiting. All the rest is a 10.

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic. The hotel provides for basic facilities. Breakfast can be pre-booked. But it lacks some basic amenties:
1. It lacks a telephone in each room. How are we to reach out to the reception in case of any support ?
2. Majority of travellers from Asia will not carry things like electric plugs (Norway has a typical plug ). So the only way is to now purchase it from a shop. Even that is fine, if you reach the hotel at an odd hour then we will have to wait for the shop to open to purchase the connector/plug.
3. TV channels lack basic english channels. Nowadays satellite channels are cheap atleast connect the TVs to the internet for streaming youtube.
4. Rooms have hangers but lack cupboards.
5. No dental kits or shaving kits etc.

SShauna McFaulFor our stay, we booked a studio apartment at The Sweet. The room was lovely and kitchenette was well-equipped. We were able to cook meals there over the days of Christmas when most restaurants and shops were closed. The location is a little outside of the center- nice and quiet but easy to access public transit.
My biggest issue with this hotel was that communication was very… odd. As the booking notes, I called the hotel in advance to schedule my check-in. When my call was answered, I told them who I was and that I was calling to schedule my check in (for a time when the booking said check in is available). I was told no one would be at reception at that time (3pm on Dec 23) and they would text me instructions for how to check myself in. Then she confirmed my phone number and asked for my email address, but when I started to give it, she said, “oh, that’s ok. We can’t use email anyway”. Odd. Before getting off the phone, I had her confirm that I would receive a text the next day with instructions to check in.
Our train arrived around 2pm in Oslo and we still hadn’t received a text, so we waited at the train station thinking perhaps they would send the text right at 3pm since that was the time I had requested. At 3, I still hadn’t received anything, so we called the hotel again. A different employee answered from the one I had spoken to the day before. I gave my name and explained that I was calling because I had scheduled check in the day before but hadn’t received the information to check in. The employee asked where I was and told me that there were people staffing reception to help us check in, which I thought was odd because the previous employee told me no one would be there. When we got to the hotel, we rang the bell and got into the building, but reception is apparently in the basement- there is only a very tiny sign that says this- so we missed it and I called them again. A man came up with our keys and got us set to go.
We got into our room and it was lovely! About 5 hours later, I got a call from Trip saying that the hotel is trying to contact me because they are wondering why I hadn’t checked in and they don’t have a way to get in touch with me. I was sitting in the hotel room when I got this call. I told the Trip representative that I was checked in and it was fine for her to give my phone and email to the hotel.
I know the communication elements have taken up a huge portion of my review and I know they are not the end of the world, but I want to share them because I believe it would be quite simple to avoid situations like this in the future and make the guest experience that much more pleasant at The Sweet.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the hotel overall and thoroughly enjoyed exploring Oslo!
GGuest UserMyself and a group of HE students have returned home from a conference where we stayed in this hotel.
The staff were really helpful and polite. Every morning we would ask for fresh towels at reception and these were either provided there and then or delivered to the room within 10 minutes of the request. The hotel is located around 10-15 minutes walk away from the marina, the tube station, royal palace. The students really enjoyed how central the hotel was to everything.
Check in and out was smooth, and the rooms were clean. There was a QR code in the room to scan if you wanted the cleaner to come in on a daily basis. There was a small selection of snacks in the reception area to purchase. On the other hand the breakfast variety was really good. From fresh waffles and pancakes to cooked breakfast, cereal, yoghurt and fruit, fresh smoothies and juices.
Overall this hotel is great if you want a base to go and explore Oslo. I would recommend this hotel to a weekend away.
