Amazing
GGuest UserIt's a small hotel; the room is also tiny but very clean. The service was excellent from the moment I called before check-in and asked them to combine our two bookings so we don't have to change rooms. The breakfast was average. The location is very good; there is a very nice local restaurant just next to the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
JJohann DieterWe stayed at this 4‑star hotel for a 3‑night Christmas staycation as a couple, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. From the moment we arrived, the experience was smooth and welcoming. Check‑in was quick and efficient, and every staff member we met was extremely friendly, helpful, and genuinely attentive. Their service really elevated our stay.
Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a large bathroom featuring a relaxing rain‑shower. The big TV offered Asian news channels, a few sports channels, and even a movie channel, which was great for unwinding in the evenings.
Breakfast each morning was delicious, with a generous buffet offering both Western and Asian cuisine. On Christmas Eve, we enjoyed the festive buffet dinner, which was a standout. The traditional Western dishes—especially the roast leg of lamb and stuffed turkey—were flavorful and beautifully prepared. The price was also noticeably more affordable than Christmas Eve dinners at other hotels, which made it even better value.
The hotel’s facilities were another highlight. The 24‑hour gym was well‑equipped with the latest machines, making workouts convenient at any time. The infinity pool was stunning, especially at sunset, offering breathtaking views over the city. The restaurant staff were consistently attentive, adding to the overall positive experience.
The location is excellent—close to shops and easy to get around. We also loved the Sky Bar, which offers fantastic views over Phnom Penh. Their happy hour from 4pm to 7pm (buy one drink, get one free) was a great way to relax and enjoy the skyline.
If we had to mention one downside, it would be the slow Wi‑Fi. However, this was a minor inconvenience compared to everything else the hotel offered.
Overall, we had a wonderful Christmas staycation and would definitely book here again. Highly recommended.
GGuest UserA nice boutique hotel, clean and friendly staff. Breakfast not a wide spread but definitely sufficient. They also served hot porridge per order. We asked for half boil egg, they gladly do for us. All staff from the front desk to the breakfast, helpful and friendly. Facilities only a pool but that is not what we go for so is fine. We ae happy with this hotel.
NNadine NFavourite Hotel Ever!! As usual, it never disappoints. Truly remarkable that this is my 4th visit and I still get the same exceptional service and staff remember me. It is nice that they treat returning visitors as VIPs and are willing to factor this in when considering certain concessions.
I had accidentally spilled my chocolate frappe on the sheets. The hotel charge me for the replacement cost (which was totally fair) and discounted the cost since I am their “loyal customer). I’m not saying they should always do this but it certainly impressed me that they considered all my visits and friends I’d encouraged to stay over. Besides this though they are still usually reasonable with such things.
Per usual, there is everything around to make your stay completely seamless from shops to pharmacies to restaurants, etc.
The room service is 24 hours and excellent. Quality produce and delivery.
Staff, especially check in are very kind and helpful. I was really impressed by the check-in guy as I land early hours of the morning and he was very efficient. Plus, they had switched on the AC and the room was very comfortable after the long journey.
Having written many reviews for this hotel, there is not much more I can say as they continue to improve and maintain very high standards.
My only complaints are that the pool closes far too early at 8pm. I hope the hotel could consider extending the time. Secondly, the 4th four does not have a designated smoking section so it can become quite thick with the smoke smell. They might consider arranging ashtrays at more places than just the lift.
A UM
Undoubtedly, my hotel of choice whenever I’m in PP. Thank you to everyone for your kindness and making my stay, once again, truly wonderful! 🌹🌹
SShort Trip IdeasI recently stayed at Hotel KVL and found so much to like. The design is excellent, the staff is professional, and the overall atmosphere is great. It clearly has the potential to be one of the best spots in the city.
It’s a beautiful property with so much potential, but until it adds more for guests to do on-site, it feels more like a boutique sleep-spot than a complete hotel experience.
GGuest UserExcellent location. Friendly staff. A/C and wifi work very well. Beautiful view from rooftop pool. Comfortable bed. Bathroom spacious. Only downside is walls/windows are a little thin and can hear a bit of ambient street noise but unless you’re a super light sleeper it shouldn’t be a problem. Amazing value and would stay again
KKun VichekaIt was a nice experience with this hotel. I stayed here several times because of the design of the room and nice service. My only problem is about the smell of cigarettes. Since we stayed as the family with kids, it was not so pleasant for them to stay with the smell of cigarette. And I just found out that almost 90% of the rooms have the smell of cigarettes, we tried to change the rooms so many times, but they are the same.
RRobsastarOn this trip I upgraded to one of their apartments and that made my week even more comfortable.. Very spacious, bath, 2 showers 2 toilets, 2 good aircon units and a small balcony overlooking Wat Botum pagoda.
A good family sized fridge freezer meant my drinks, milk meats and cheeses were cold.
Basic utensils but top tip, bring a normal cutlery knife.
Located on 4th floor, I woas treated to a spooky but spectacular lightning show without the rumble of thunder. Stood on balcony and had a fantastic view.
Staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfasts still very good, simple but plenty. However going 'self-catering' allowed me to get my cornflakes and ice cold milk in the morning. Cannot beat that!
Next visit will see me booking an apartment only. So so convenient.
Again, Le Botum was a superb location for me.
Go to street 172. Plenty of expats....some characters too...and a 24hr supermarket called 'Smile' and you will. So much British stuff, it could have been anywhere in the UK.
Book Le Botum. You won't be disappointed.
AAndrew1989I had a wonderful stay at Bopha Bassac Boutique Hotel. The hotel has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed, creating a relaxing place to unwind after a busy day in Phnom Penh.
The location is excellent, with many restaurants, cafés, and attractions nearby, making it very convenient for exploring the city. I also appreciated the peaceful environment and the attention to detail in the service.
Overall, it was a great experience and I would happily stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and charming boutique hotel in Phnom Penh!
GGuest UserExcellent location with warm service. However, it isn’t an ideal hotel location for tourist location where situating near a bin or smth like landfill that with unlike smell. Additionally, the room was filled with ants everywhere. The hygiene condition definitely has room for improvement. In terms of faculties, the bathroom can’t provide hot water with stable temperatures, i can’t take a shower with hot water around 7ish.
anyway, i still think the hotel quality is matched with the price though, not a bad choice for a short stay
