We visited Arai Ryokan in November for a family autumn hot spring trip.
Arai Ryokan definitely had its own unique charm and atmosphere, to the point where it felt like a cultural asset.
There were various types of hot springs, so it was fun to explore them, and the kaiseki cuisine had a variety of colors and flavors, which was a great experience.
Of course, the staff were also kind and welcoming, so our family stayed comfortably without any inconvenience.
I would like to express my gratitude to the staff at Arai Ryokan.
If I have another chance, I will use it again.

Very good hotel, elegant and pleasant environment, Japanese style, tatami as soon as you enter the hotel, warm and thoughtful waiters, a sister who can speak Chinese received me and told me in detail how to stay in the hotel and take a bath. There are private baths and public baths. The buffet is very rich. The hotel is more than 2 kilometers away from Shuzenji Station by bus, and it is very easy to find. I borrowed a bicycle from the hotel to go to Kawabata Yasunari's Yumotokan, which is 25 kilometers round trip. The bicycle is very useful. Although I can't come again in the future, I especially recommend this hotel to everyone.

Amazing service and onsen facilities. There are both indoor and outdoor, private and public baths to choose from. There are unlimited drinks from the drinks machines and also other complementary food services.
Both the meals, breakfast and dinner, were exquisite. It was great to experience traditional Japanese dining.
The traditional Japanese building was like a labyrinth and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the many halls and gardens. The location is also great and there are many shops and temples around the area.
All in all the perfect place to have a more traditional Japanese experience whilst receiving excellent service.

This is the largest hotel with the best lighting and the most comfortable environment I have ever stayed in. The kawabe cuisine feels great. The room is a pleasant surprise, a combination of Japanese and Western styles, clean and sanitary. There is a private hot spring bathtub on the balcony, listening to the sound of running water. The outdoor private bath is also great. I recommend the beauty under the moon, which is very freehand. I highly recommend it! I will come again if I have the chance! There is a shuttle bus to the station in the morning. The old man is kind and enthusiastic.

The air in the public space is not very ventilated, and there is a slight odor. The environment in the room is very good, comfortable and clean, but it is indeed very old. The balcony carpet is too old and looks very dirty. The soup environment is normal. If you don't want to share with others, you can consider going one hour before closing, almost to yourself. The whole building is in the style of the 1990s. The nearby bus stop is only about 100 meters away from the hotel. It seems to be a Chinese-run hotel, and there is Chinese service at the front desk.
In addition, the buffet is very simple. It doesn't matter if it is simple, at least it tastes better, but it is also very unpalatable. I read a lot of good reviews and was fooled. If time is not limited, there is no need to book meals. There are several restaurants nearby, and convenience stores and 711 are quite close. You can check it online.

I arrived at around 7pm after playing golf, so I wasn't able to experience the large public bath with a sunset view, but I was able to enjoy two baths.
Breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety of options, and I was very satisfied with the seafood bowl. One thing I would like is to have a bar-type seat in the smoking room.

The room faces Sunawa Bay, with a very good sea view.
The nearest hot spring hotel after disembarking at Toi Port, the facilities are very comfortable. There is a coffee area in the lobby on the first floor of the hotel that is open at fixed times. This time, due to the New Year's Day holiday, I was unable to book a room with meals, which is a little regrettable. However, when entertaining and confirming information before check-in, they will provide nearby dining information and a map introduction to Izu. It is a hot spring hotel worth visiting.

I really love this treasure place! Izu is really, really beautiful, and Yuzhangyuan is also a relatively niche hotel there! It has a long history and is very unique. I looked at other nearby hotels on booking and selected them. It is not inferior to the surrounding hot spring hotels! Highly recommended! ! ! Dinner and breakfast are also very delicious. Be sure to try their one-stop, two-dinner package!

Facilities: The room and hotel facilities are very complete. The hotel has restaurants, shops, hot springs, and you can also enjoy the swimming pool and hot springs of the nearby Marriott Hotel
Hygiene: clean management
Environment: comfortable, very peaceful
Service: The only disadvantage is that the hotel does not have an elevator, you have to move your luggage by yourself, and there are no staff helpers
The front desk staff is very patient to answer and explain all questions👍

GGuest UserGreat room, great service, great experience. A traditional Japanese hotel, the food is very attentive, the hot spring is very comfortable and private, highly recommended. The countryside scenery is also very good
CChloe HYIncludes one dinner and one breakfast
Large amount of food and variety
The room is fully equipped with manual hand-grinded coffee
The large bath was clean and comfortable, and I enjoyed it alone for nearly two hours.
Maybe it’s because many people booked a private bath.
The campsite is beautifully laid out and the campfire at night is a great atmosphere
Overall, a good experience
There was just a weird smell in the room, and the bathing area in the large bath was also…
GGuest UserBetter than expected, clean and tidy! The hot spring in the room directly faces Mount Fuji, and you can enjoy the beautiful view of Mount Fuji while sitting on the terrace! The service is top-notch, and the food is fresh and delicious! Each building is independent and quiet, absolutely worth the money!
Ccat1004It seems to be a traditional Japanese room renovation, very flavorful
The room is a duplex and has stairs. Elderly people should be careful about slipping.
The bathroom has hot spring water, but the bathtub is too thin, which is a pity
The water temperature of the outdoor hot spring is relatively low, which is suitable for those who are taking a hot spring bath for the first time.
The food is rich, including abalone! There are crabs! There are cows! And very delicious
闲闲逛爱吃Very good hotel. The room is spacious and comfortable, and the large bath has outdoor bathing and is very comfortable. Meals are all kinds of seafood, and the amount is very good. The hotel staff is enthusiastic and also helps us to send the station. Have the opportunity to come again.
Ddorisyu4853The decoration is in the Western style of the 1980s. For some years, the room we stayed in still has paint smell. I don’t know if it has been repaired recently. I am a little worried about whether the health will be affected. The location is really partial, there is nothing around, the hotel is also small, only eight rooms, no public entertainment facilities, no public hot springs. It rained heavily on the day we arrived and could only stay in the room with no view. Be careful not to drive by yourself. Traffic is too difficult. Compared with such an expensive house price, I really want to faint. Just came from Asahi of Shuzenji the day before, this price is more expensive than Asana, but the experience is like mud. The price/performance ratio is too low. I don't know what the bottom line is. The good place is good service, good ingredients for dinner and breakfast, the next day the weather cleared, saw Mount Fuji, at the same time the hotel helped to contact a reasonable price taxi to the next destination, which is a little soothing to check the mood of the day.
