Check Izu Hotels with Balcony

I wish I could give it 5 stars! Let's start with the bad - the hotel thought of just about everything except effective soundproofing. It was unpleasant to hear the traffic at all times when in the room even with the balcony closed, but you could find a way to accept it. What really killed it was 2 evenings in a row hearing a kid running above you for .5-1 hr at a time and being woken up in the middle of the night twice because someone decided to enjoy their onsen on their balcony and was talking and laughing loudly. We stayed for 5 nights and the weekend was the worst as the hotel had a higher occupancy rate. Without that...there is no good, there is only great: - Check-in is private, seated in the lobby with welcoming refreshments - Private onsen on your balcony (in addition to the large one for all guests) - amazing! - Room accommodations very well appointed with numerous amenities and very spacious - Parking available on your room level very convenient (not all, but some... we stayed on 4th floor so even exit from garage was available on our floor) - Restaurants - we had breakfast which had great options and service, we also enjoyed a room service for dinner which offered ability to order from multiple of restaurants. We didn't have dinner in the restaurants as we didn't find the menus appealing for all in our party. - Location is great, short walk to most things you'd want to do in Atami, across the street from a beach (not a great one, but people use it) and relatively easy to get out by car (especially if you ignore GPS directions that guide to tiny streets)

It was an inn in Satoyama. I arrived at 14:00 at check-in and I think it was probably the second customer, but I had to wait a long time. I thought that I could finally check in, but the person in charge (male) was uncomfortable with doing this procedure and talking to different customers here and there. The explanation of the inn and the check-in procedure were not advanced easily. It's my first inn, so I wanted you to get through at least. However, when I was taking a picture outside, a different staff came out immediately and took a picture of the two, and it was a polite customer service. The bath was said to be used from 15 o'clock even though it was check-in at 14 o'clock, and both I was quite disappointed. However, before 15:00 (around 14:30?), All three keys to the private bath were gone, and some people were already in it. By the way, the room on the 3rd floor was a Japanese-Western style room and was spacious 々. It feels like you can see the garden of Satoyama from the window of the room. The connecting was looking at the garden all the time in the window seat. The room is quite dark lighting. There is an atmosphere, but it may have been a little too dark for me. The room key was ２ book and it was convenient. There is a considerable step between the Japanese-style room and the bed room (stage 1.5 stage), and the toilet in the middle of the night is a must-see. The large communal bath is located in the building outside the building of the room. ２ There are eight types of baths with one source. There were also two open-air baths. Dinner is a ２ part system at 17:20 and 20:00, and you can choose from ２ of seafood or meat courses, and the restaurant is different. The seafood was a kinme shabu-shabu, so I chose a meat course. I was very satisfied with the dinner (I made it a local sake with one drink). The appetizers and the future were beautiful and delicious. There was also steamed clay bottle. The meat course has domestic beef loin, beef ribs, Shizuoka miso chicken, venison sausage, Fuji loin and ５, and there were two types of steak sauce, so I could eat it without getting tired. You can choose from ３ types of small plates. The dessert coffee pudding and sorbet were delicious. The customer service of the person in charge of the restaurant was polite and very good. Breakfast time was 8 o'clock, but there was no ８ time, so I made it 7:30. I had it at the counter seat of a restaurant different from last night. As for the counter table, it was not good that the spills of yesterday and the tableware were attached. The breakfast content with the item was good. You can choose Western or Japanese food. The meal and bath were good, so it seems that I will use it again.

I used it to dive with three companions. Because of the corona cherry blossoms, I didn't hit the search for a single room, and it was a fairly large room, and I made a reservation to make a social distance. It seems that there was a coupon use by a certain site and a prepaid discount, and about 6000 yen per person including hot water tax. It is a rich view in a luxurious room that doesn't usually make a reservation first, and it feels sorry to not stay with my wife. The public bath is also a natural hot spring, and the open-air bath is a source of water. The original is like a resort condominium, and the passage faces outdoors, but unless it is rained in the rain of the side hit, it is positive only for the noise like the corridor I felt it. I didn't have a meal, so I can't evaluate it there, but I think it is quite convenient to use it in a group of multiple people because there is a set of cooking equipment and a large refrigerator in the room. 　The first time we chose the back of the inn at Shuzenji Onsen, it was the Yukoro Kikuya. It is located almost in the center of the hot spring town of Shuzenji, and if you follow the prefectural road that runs through the northern bank of the Katsura River, there is an entrance to the inn, and there is a parking lot next to it. From the entrance to the main body of the inn, you will pass over the lobby built on the bridge over the Katsura River. Check-in is done on the sofa in this lobby, so you can see the Katsura River from just above the river. As the name ”Yu Corridor” suggests, many hot water areas are connected by long corridors. From those hot springs, I could see the beautiful garden of the inn. The dinner I was looking forward to was called ”Quasi Sakana Kaiseki”, and I was able to choose some dishes as I liked. We were two of us, and we dared to eat different dishes, but each dish looked beautiful and very delicious. Our accommodation plan was a plan to have draft beer free in the private lounge, so we had draft beer in the hot spring and relaxed.

河津桜を見たくて、前日に泊まりました。16時に到着したら、「19時半からの夕食しか空いていません」と言われました。鉄板焼は２部制。早く到着して17時半を確保したら良かったのですが、大室山にも寄り道したかったので、仕方ないな～と諦めました。展望露天風呂の部屋だったので、お風呂に入ったり、ところてん(湯上がり処)を食べたりして過ごしました。 鉄板焼は、伊勢エビ、金目鯛、アワビ、肉(ヒレ、サーロイン、鹿から選びます)など豪華。造りも出ますが、冷蔵庫に入れて時間が経っているのか乾いていました。最後のお味噌汁は驚くほど少量でした。 朝も洋食は鉄板焼と同じ場所でソーセージやオムレツ(スクランブルエッグ、目玉焼きも選べます)、フレンチトーストを焼いてくれました。美味しかったです。 建物全体はやや古い印象で高級旅館のようなイメージではありませんが、掃除が行き届き、サービス面で頑張っていると思います。大浴場の露天風呂や部屋からの眺望は素晴らしかったです。

The public bath is until 6 pm, and the subsequent large bath is changed to a personal free booking time. There is free milk and massage chair next to the large bath. Overall it is OK.

It seems that it just opened in April 2022, and it is a beautiful building. Lobby was very large, too, and sofa and table were still there. It's like a hotel in a foreign country. Great Pacific! ! ! The sea is quite close and you can always hear the sound of waves. If the weather is clear, you can also see the seven islands of Izu. It's interesting to guess what island that is while looking at the map. Amenity is only a toothbrush in the room. Other than that, please bring it from the front desk when you check in. I didn't really know what was there, so I got everything for the time being (lol) The pool is timed. Put in for an hour and a half. The water was quite cold, so I was grateful to receive a bath towel. I went in the evening and felt a little cold. I didn't swim there, but it's about 25 meters long. The scenery is just wonderful. Sunset, sea, sunset... I could stand by the pool all the time. I returned with the sunset, but the night pool was beautiful at night. It was lit up. You can see the pool from the room. Dinner is a buffet. You can choose from 6:00 to 7:30 or 7:30 to 9:00. It was delicious as usual, and I was satisfied with the number of items. It was full of seafood such as sashimi, grilled shrimp, grilled turban shell in Burgundy, and sushi. I don't know how many pieces of sashimi I ate (laughs) Of course, there are also meat dishes such as roast beef and rafute. Sweets were also substantial, and I could eat as much as I could, such as cakes and brulee. I felt that the T-bag type herbal tea was rare. I drank wild berries and African nectar. I prefer the latter. As for fruit, the melon was sweet and the best. It would have been nice to have breakfast as well. I enjoyed it for an hour and a half, but the guests with children returned to their rooms. I think there were meals that children could eat, such as gratin, shrimp chili, and seafood curry, but it's strange. It was surprising that we were the only ones who stayed until the closing time. Breakfast is also a buffet. Same as the day before, I'm satisfied. Of particular note are the mushroom omelet rice and orange French toast. It is said to be a specialty of Izu. I replaced it several times. I ate a lot of sweets for breakfast as well. The yam compote is impressive. I used the open-air bath twice, one at night and one in the morning. A bathing fee of 150 yen will be charged at check-out, so the more you enter, the more you will get. With an ocean view, I felt like I was soaking in the sea. Feels like an infinity pool. Finally, about transportation. It is safer not to walk from the station. There are many slopes and you will be tired. I am very grateful for the free pick-up service, but I wish it was on time. Is there only one car? We booked the transfer from the train station to the hotel in advance. However, he didn't come to the station when the time came, and when I called him, he was told that he was on his way. Hotel → station transfer told the front desk the departure time on the night of the first day. However, when it was time to leave, the car was nowhere to be found, and the driver would be there in five minutes. It was time for the train, so I was quite confused. The driver was a pro, so I'm glad I made it in time. I was blessed with friends who accompanied me, and it was a fun trip. The hotel was also good overall.

The menu of the first night was repeated on the last night, but we were told about it when we checked in. We spent three full days playing in Kinosaki Coast, Shimoda City and Mount Omuro. Mount Omuro should be put first, and you must go there on a sunny day. When you reach the top of the mountain, you will be shocked by the scenery in front of you. This time, I took the Odoriko from Shinagawa to Izu Plateau, and I happened to take the black ship sea-viewing train from Shimoda to Ito Plateau. In fact, there is no need to deliberately buy those sea-viewing trains when staying in a seaside hotel. There are not many opportunities to see the sea along the way. There are more residential houses, green belts and tunnels. The hotel's shuttle bus is a bit too small, which is indeed not very convenient for carrying luggage in and out. Normally, it is OK to walk out empty-handed. We are all over 70 years old. We took a taxi to Jogasaki Coast, played for a while, and then walked along the rugged path by the sea to the Ocean Park. Then we turned onto the road and walked back to the hotel. It was not too tiring. The hotel is very cost-effective and the service is very good. It is worth visiting again when you go to Ito area in the future.
