Ssaejade333Room is clean and well maintained. Bathroom is clean and no mould. Room is cleaned daily. TV shows 3 movie channels plus other local and international channels. AC can be controlled via thermostat and cold. Lighting has some switches to control the mood.
Buffet breakfast has western, Chinese, Japanese and local Semarang culinary.
Overall we are happy with the accommodation and would come back next time.

SSukaJalanJalanThe lobby is so beautiful but not really match with the room situation. Actually I expect more… poor cleanliness, carpet looks old and also the AC knob looks so dirty.
And very disappointed, when I took my breakfast, they are still using many broken bowl 🫣🫣🫣 Out of standard… I think the hotel should improve this problem…
I am not sure to return for the second stay…

My stay at Novotel Semarang was very satisfying overall; it truly lives up to its international brand reputation, with all aspects performing above average.
Excellent Location: The hotel is situated in a prime location in downtown Semarang, offering incredibly convenient transportation access to the Old Town (Kota Lama), popular attractions, and shopping malls. It's a top choice for both business travelers and tourists.
High Standard of Service and Dining: The staff were exceptionally warm and professional right from check-in. I especially want to praise their breakfast – the variety was impressive, with a wide selection of local Indonesian flavors and Western dishes, all prepared with great care.
Well-Equipped Facilities, Though Showing Some Age: The room was spacious, and the bedding was very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. While it's clear the hotel has been around for a while and the decor is more classic and traditional, the overall cleanliness was spotless, and maintenance was excellent. The hotel's pool and gym were also very clean, perfect for relaxing after a busy day.

MMBFBisriAnother example of a 3.5-star hotel: definitely higher than a 3-star but not a 4-star yet. The location is perfect, walking distance to DP Mall, Lawang Sewu, Pandanaran area, and museums. Breakfast was nice with a changing menu every day and offered a complimentary celebratory dinner for the New Year. Unfortunately, for 2 nights we were disturbed by fellow guests nearby partying so loudly and a broken AC. The hotel arranged a different room for the final night, and this one is fine. The rooftop bar and swimming pool were nice. Gym was functional. For a hotel of this size, it's surprising that they dont have a proper parking area - your car will be parked in nearby buildings where the hotel has an arrangement and it comes with a complimentary and free valet service.

WWellouis+ The hotel's location is great, right in the center of Semarang.
The swimming pool is fantastic with a great view of Semarang city.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
The AC is cold.
The hot water is excellent.
The food and drinks are good, quite tasty.
The room is reasonably soundproof.
- The car parking area lacks lighting; it's really dark.
The pillows and bolsters are damp, smelly, and have many unclear stains.
The shower leaks, so water sprays everywhere when showering (room 1009).
The carpet isn't very clean.
The bed is too soft, not very good.
There's no exhaust fan, so if you, uh, do your business, the smell goes everywhere in the room, haha.
The lift buttons are very difficult to press; they should be replaced.
Overall, it's okay. It's also proportionate to the price.

AAliffi IsmailUnable to review as I was told upon check in at Dafam Wondosobo that I did not make any booking at this hotel. Upon close scrutiny of my booking confirmation, it was discovered that I had inadvertently booked the Dafam Semarang instead of Dafam Wondosobo. What a disappointment when I was told the Dafam Wondosobo was fully booked for the night when I tried to change my booking.

DdanilangginanstGreat hotel actually, nice pool and breakfast, but the building and interior is a little bit old that I’m not really into it. Many cracks at the wall and floor that not looks good. Its located in a local residences, not too close to the center of the city.

TTrip_EdoCheck in process took so long, at 3:30 pm the room was still not ready, after being push to be ready, they gave me a smoking room and it was at the very end no. 919. The room smelled of cigarettes. The towels were bad and stained, the TV and room furniture were old. Valet parking is available, breakfast is just standard, not worth staying at this hotel.
