Great
GGuest UserCute boutique hotel in a prime spot near Buchanan St and with some rooms overlooking George Square. We stayed in a studio with a balcony on the 7th floor, which had a great view, but was a little unhandy when the only elevator went out of service 3 of the 5 days during our stay. The room was spacious in terms of hotel rooms in the city centre, and well equipped with everything we might need in the kitchenette, plenty of storage space, good quality linens and towels, upscale toiletries, and a roomy bathroom with a nicely tiled shower. The staff were all very helpful, and did a good job of communicating with us when my husband's golf bag we had shipped over from the US preceded our arrival by a few days; they kept it in reception until we got there. Parking is a good distance away, and there is no good place to load/unload, though if you follow the instructions from Reception, you can get a discounted daily rate at the parking garage they recommend. The shuttle bus from the airport, subway, and, train station are within a few blocks, so you definitely don't need a car to get places within (and to a great extent without) the city.
Honestly we loved this hotel, found it a good value for the price, and will definitely consider staying here again on a return visit to Glasgow.

GGuest UserGreat location, straightforward checkin, excellent price for twin room apartment. Good kitchen facilities - microwave, hob, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, dishwasher- and reasonable quantities of crockery, cutlery, tumblers, wine glasses, washing up liquid etc.
Good to have separate area with sofa and tv. WiFi perfectly fine.
Slept fairly well but beds and especially pillows were very firm, I usually have 3 pillows but often 1 here was adequate.
The main niggle was that we had an accessible room even though not requested. We understand it is hotel policy to allocate these when necessary and heard someone else who was disappointed as well. The problem is that if you’re 6 foot tall the low height of bathroom mirror, sink and fixtures makes things difficult to manage easily.

AAnonymous UserStayed here for one night and had a great experience. The hotel is in a perfect location, just a few minutes’ walk from Glasgow Central Station, making it very convenient for travelling around the city.
The room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet despite being so close to the station. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and check-in was quick and easy.
I only stayed for a short time, but everything was exactly what I needed. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Glasgow.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very close to SEC and right next to Exhibition Station, making it super convenient to take the train to Edinburgh and Ayr. The breakfast selection is great, with a good variety of vegetables and fruits (which is rare to find), many types of coffee, delicious juices, and a wide assortment of bread. The room was cleaned daily and kept very neat and tidy. You can even see the University of Glasgow right outside the window.
VvicchenggWe enjoyed our stay at the Maldron and felt it was great value overall. The location was perfect. Everything was within walking distance but also slightly away from the main high street so it was nice and peaceful at night. There were also loads of excellent restaurants and coffee shops within a few hundred meters of the hotel, offering loads of cuisine choices. The staff were very helpful and friendly. When we arrived, I realised I had accidentally booked one of our rooms as a double room when we needed a twin. After just a quick call to reception the staff found us a twin room within minutes, and were even mindful of keeping our families on the same floor for convenience which we hugely appreciated. The rooms themselves were very clean, modern and spacious enough for the two of us and our suitcases. The sound proofing was pretty decent too, and there was minimal noise from the corridor/outside apart from a few doors banging in the morning as guests left. Other highlights include: a very good shower where you can switch between a rainfall + handheld head, plugs on both sides of the bed (an essential these days!) and a comfortable bed. The TV system is a little dated in my opinion, however it does allow casting which was a bonus. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel for a mid-low budget stay.

HHannifah IbrahimWhile I can’t say I fully enjoyed my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton, that may partly be because we had just come from a really lovely hotel in Aberdeen, so my expectations were quite high, particularly regarding the housekeeping standards, given the hotel’s reputation and heritage. Unfortunately, the cleaning service and general room upkeep felt somewhat lacking during our stay.
That said, it was still a good stay overall. The reception staff were fantastic, very professional, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. The breakfast was decent as well, although we were unable to try many of the buffet options due to personal preferences and faith-based dietary restrictions.
Overall, we enjoyed our time in Glasgow.

CCall me ZhalaThe hotel was very clean and modern, with a warm and welcoming reception. A lovely touch was the dog-friendly corner, where you can even arrange dinner for your dog. It made the stay feel especially thoughtful and accommodating.
GGuest UserI feel bad about this review as the staff were very friendly but it wasn’t a good stay. First of all I asked about parking and they told me they would validate parking if I used the Cambridge Street car park around the corner. This turned out to be closed due to road works and I ended up driving around one-way systems for 20+ minutes first trying to get in, and then trying to find an alternative spot.
The TV in my room didn’t work and I heard another guest complaining about the same thing.
The shower didn’t have hot water at 7.30am! I left it running for ages and it barely even got to lukewarm.
Also, there was no kettle. I think this tipped me over the edge.

SSalim1960The staff and the place was awesome. We had issues with the room and was resolved by Emily straight away by moving us to the business lounge room.
