Glasgow Hotels with Bars

Lovely experience from start to finish, the oversized coffee mugs was a great touch, thank you for that ☺️ and I got to see possibly the most unique sight just round the corner, pictured, as for the lobby and the hotel, a mix of modern, art deco and comfy seating downstairs. Be warned the bed was HUGE!!! I could fit 3 full size pillows across, so no danger of falling out for me ☺️ I will be going back 👍

This was the best value-for-money hotel we've stayed at in the UK. The room had ceilings over 4 meters high, was spacious, and featured a super king-size bed with a perfectly balanced mattress and high-thread-count, comfortable bedding. The blackout curtains were excellent, much better than many other hotels. The service was also very good. Highly recommended! Our only minor hiccup was when we drove onto the street and saw a sign saying 'authorised vehicles only,' which made us a bit nervous. We didn't dare unload our luggage right away and had to drive around the block, which was a bit of a hassle. Otherwise, everything was great, and it was lovely to take a stroll nearby after dinner. The breakfast was significantly better than what you'd typically find at a standard budget chain. However, a friend in another room I booked did complain about low water pressure in the shower.

I stayed for 1 night, The room was spacious and clean, and the shower was great. We wouldn't recommend the breakfast as it was buffet style so we didn't know how long it was sitting out for. Also quite tasteless. The hotel is lovely and quite central, staff friendly.

Great hotel. Had an executive room and was pleased to find water, toothbrush and various things I'd forgotten to bring. Room was large and the beds were very comfortable. I'd asked for early check in as I was in Glasgow for my son's graduation and was able to get into the room early to get ready. I would highly recommend and definitely stay there again

While I can’t say I fully enjoyed my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton, that may partly be because we had just come from a really lovely hotel in Aberdeen, so my expectations were quite high, particularly regarding the housekeeping standards, given the hotel’s reputation and heritage. Unfortunately, the cleaning service and general room upkeep felt somewhat lacking during our stay. That said, it was still a good stay overall. The reception staff were fantastic, very professional, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. The breakfast was decent as well, although we were unable to try many of the buffet options due to personal preferences and faith-based dietary restrictions. Overall, we enjoyed our time in Glasgow.

Great location, super close to city centre and very convenient. Staff members are always helpful and super friendly. On my final night there was a storm in Scotland and staff was super helpful with trying to see if they can book me for one extra night just in case if trains don’t run the next day :) really happy with the service. Breakfast has good selection! Room is okay, the AC seemed a bit old and broken but still works, temperature in the room is fine!

Hampton by Hilton, Glasgow Central is located on West Campbell Street and this truly is right in the heart of the city centre! Located just around the corner from the bustling shopping street of Sauchiehall Street, you’ve got everything you need at your disposal within walking distance of this hotel! Even Glasgow’s Central station is just a short 10 minute walk away - ideal if you’re coming in from another such as Liverpool like I was! A double room in this hotel is a fair size. To maximise on the space, Hampton by Hilton have removed wardrobes and cupboards and have replaced them with walk-in spaces. It works - the L shaped room can feel a little cosy at first, but once you’ve passed through the corridor, the main area where the bed and TV is feels quite spacious. The breakfast provided - which is free for all guests - is to a great standard. Make sure you try out the fresh waffles which come as standard in Hampton by Hilton hotels. The breakfast area isn’t huge though, so if you come around 8.30/9am, space might be limited! There’s also a fitness suite in the hotel which has a good range of equipment available. No windows in there though! Some areas for improvement - the room could do with a bit of refurbishment as the furniture is looking quite tired in parts and there are a lot of scratches and dirty marks on the walls. The room is very functional rather than a luxurious stay. Having said that, Hampton by Hilton is not marketing itself as a luxury brand. It’s firmly in the budget hotel bracket, probably at a similar standard to Premier Inn - which certainly isn’t a bad thing! Another thing to note - if you stay here during the weekend, it could be noisy. There are three nightclubs right near the hotel and on a Saturday night, the noise didn’t stop until 2.30am and this meant we didn’t get much sleep one night. However, the staff were very helpful when we flagged it with them the next morning and gave a credit for a free night’s stay at any Hampton by Hilton! All in all, this hotel is a good base to stay whilst exploring Glasgow. It’s functional, it does the job and you’re going to be well fed during breakfast. True, there are areas for improvement, but this shouldn’t impact your overall experience too much!

We booked the wrong date for our stay and didn't realise until arrival. The amazing Kathleen sorted everything for us. What an asset to the Crowne Plaza she is. Thank you so much for taking the stress out of it and helping us have such a lovely stay.

The Marriott Hotel has updated the rooms to a good standard. However the bathroom has not been updated and was very poor with various areas dirty. (See photos). Also the shower screen did not close meaning lots of water was spilled onto the floor when taking a shower. One of the bath towels in the room had a hole in it. Other small things were that there is only one chair in the room meaning my wife had to sit on the bed. Also only one tea spoon in the room. This is not what I would expect from a Marriott Hotel!

Room was good but the lobby area full of foreigners shouting their own language I don’t know they are from Somalia or which country , you can’t sit bar area or anywhere in the lobby level. It was a short visit but room was good didn’t get a chance to try the food but next time for sure because I will be very regular visitors because of daughter will be there for her education
