I stayed in Changji for a quick 24 hour trip to visit a friend of mine that week so I did not require a lot of amenities at the hotel. The elevator and the air conditioning were not working when I arrived. I think that the hotel is still doing some renovations and construction work since it is a new hotel. There was a strong cigarette smell that came into the room upon entry and came through the vents throughout the night. I opened the window to get rid of the smell but it kept coming back. This was the only thing that was really unpleasant. Apart from that, the staff were friendly and pleasant.
