Follow the river to the nearest Jizo-yu. It's a 10-minute walk. Pay attention to the shuttle bus schedule. The beverage bar is open in the afternoon and alcohol is only available in the evening."

"Very enjoyed living in this river! Excellent location, high level of service, very delicious dinner and breakfast. We were delighted with the public onsens, onsen inside the river too very much liked - it is great that there is an opportunity to come in the morning and warm before leaving.  The special advantage for us was that in the river it is allowed to live for guests with tattoos. Thank you very much for your hospitality! In our next trip we will definitely stop here again 🤗"

"Not far from Kinosaki Station, reachable within 10 minutes, only 100m on the left side street of the city; there are various yukatas to choose from when shopping (close up + feel old and faded, the same style as some hotels (vest jacket contrasts with the gap). The shop is always old inside, and it is surprising that there is a lack of USB plugs in this era. The dinner for two nights is ordinary, with a few crab legs (not fresh enough), and the sashimi fish meat is actually ribbed, but the sashimi restaurant at the corner of the street is flat and delicious! The room is full of meat smell when eating ta tami in the treasure room, and the smell of meat is also everywhere when sleeping. I also found that Japan, especially here, also employs many foreign workers. My sister said that she has been here for 10 months from Vietnam, and she is full of smiles. There is still room for improvement."

"The location is good, and the hot springs are all private rooms. The catering is good. If you stay in September, you can eat long-legged crabs. There are indeed a lot of stairs that are not suitable for people with weak legs and feet. The staff will help you move your luggage up and down. I checked out at 10 o'clock and wanted to store my luggage until 2 p.m., but they didn't agree. This surprised me. This was the first time I had encountered this after 16 visits to Japan. Next time I come to Kinosaki Onsen, I might consider looking elsewhere."

"It's a lovely hotel in traditional Japanese style. It has a pretty inside garden and an onsen (no private onsens for booking, only common ones for all hotel guests that are divided for males and females). Hotel provides you with a yukata and a haori for your stay (you don't rent it, they are included in price), which is very convenient. When I asked the receptionist if I can buy them, 'cause I loved them so much, she said I can take them for free if I want. I double checked to avoid any miscommunication, but she insisted that I don't have to pay extra for those. Everything in the fridge, including alcohol, is free. Hotel is a bit far from the main street, but has a transfer, so I'd say it's fine. We ordered a dinner and breakfast, and both were absolutely wonderful, had several courses."

"We stayed at the hotel in October 2024. We took two rooms for two. Pros: 1. Magnificent rooms in the style of a classic ryokan: everything is very beautiful, authentic, lots of small details, notes and tips for guests, interesting trinkets in the room. We had beds, not futons, but this is not a minus - the beds are very comfortable. The view from the room (3rd floor) is of the mountains. The cleanliness is perfect, the room has everything that should be in a classic ryokan room: from tatami to a low table for relaxing. 2. Incomparable kaiseki dinner. Excellent sukiyaki breakfast (you cook it yourself). 3. The most beautiful interiors of the hotel, it is interesting to walk around it, exploring it from the inside. The hotel is beautiful from the outside too. 4. You can smoke in the rooms (we did not do this, and the rooms are not smoked at all). There is a smoking room at the entrance to the hotel. 5. Wonderful staff. All requests and complaints are satisfied within minutes. They speak English poorly, but it's not a problem, we communicated through a translator. The guys are cool, cheerful. Quick check-in, a bunch of reminders about where and when to come / what and how to do correctly. 6. There is a private onsen (we did not use it). 7. They give a free pass to 7 public onsen. They give discounts on souvenirs. 8. They give excellent yukatas for onsen, for women - they will give beautiful ones, the choice is huge. Nuances: 1. The only downside of the hotel is the distance from the center of Kinosaki (15-20 minutes walk through not very beautiful places). But! There is a free transfer from the hotel to the city center, plus there is a transfer station-hotel-station. And the walk from the hotel to the center of Kinosaki did not bother us much. 2. This is not a business hotel, so there is no washing machine, iron or shower in the room. The shower (and in fact - onsen) is shared on the minus first floor - separate for men and women."

"The hotel is near to the train station, just 5 to 10 mins walk. The room was clean and tidy. Toilet seat, water basins, refrigerator, hot water boiling machine were provided. Staff prepared the Japanese beds for us in the evening. There were a sitting room, book reading areas, smoking room inthe.public area. Private session for private onsens were provided. A free of charge card for the seven hot springs and city bus was provided. The staff were nice and helpful. The environment was quiet and the beds were comfortable."

"The ryokan style rooms were a lovely touch. The inclusive dinner came with so many courses that we were absolutely stuffed every single night and the fact that a member of staff helps explain all the dishes and prepares them in front of us felt like a real lovely touch of authenticity and luxury. There are no individual bathrooms in the rooms aside from a sink and toilet but the hotel Onsen is easy to access and comfortable to use. The staff also make the bed after dinner every night and anytime we had questions for reception, they were always happy to help, especially with train station transfer and recommendations and vouchers for different restaurants in town. The hotel rooms have a great view of the mountains as it is slightly off the main road. I would definitely recommend this for couples traveling."

"A very authentic Japanese experience! Plus I booked a kaiseki dinner, which was delicious and unusual for a European person. The food was very fresh and beautifully served. Used public and private onsen of the ryokan, both were nice."
