Excellent stay. It's a massive complex with many sections, looks beautiful day and night, perfect location near entrance gate to city wall and main roads. Room was big, clean, comfortable and nicely designed. Toiletries and breakfast included, good food. Staff very friendly, helpful and patient with my attempts at chinese/using a translator app. Overall great value, no issues at all.

The hotel has a beautiful environment, clean rooms and warm and thoughtful service. When my family members came back, they all said that the hotel we booked for them was perfect, the boss was responsible and attentive, and the pick-up at the high-speed rail station was especially great! You don't have to worry about anything at all. When you arrive at the hotel, they will provide you with a map for planning. It's so worry-free! The antique decoration style of the courtyard and the beds with zero-pressure mattresses in the rooms are so comfortable! High cost-effectiveness, not far from the center of the ancient city. Overall, this hotel is quiet and comfortable in the ancient city, and is the best choice for staying in Pingyao Ancient City.

這個一定要誇一下，要讓更多的來旅行的遊客們都知道。環境：酒店位置很不錯，就在南門停車場進來的主街上，（平遙古城主街就兩條，一條見南大街，一條叫西大街），這個酒店就在西大街正中間，其實與其説是民宿，倒不如説是一家小而精的酒店，酒店是老院子翻修的，裝修考究，風格大氣。設施：設施沒有任何問題，房間寬敞，各種功能都齊全，有普通的大床房，也有那種“炕”，能睡三四個成年人，而且值得一説的是，酒店的備品和用品都是一流大牌，這在古城這個地方，真的是上檔次的天花板了，Dyson吹風機，Hansgrohe衞浴，Duravit面盆，Le Labo洗浴用品，SUNSTAR牙膏用品，總之都是這種高端產品，讓人有些意料。服務：服務很滿意，酒店老闆會提前和客人聯繫，詢問詳細的到店時間，因為古城不讓社會車輛進入，所以酒店老闆會安排遊覽車一對一的接到酒店（退房的時候也會安排送出城門），而且酒店老闆考慮的很周全，因為是當地人，所以會和客人提供生活的一些便利，避免遊客踩抗，退房的時候還會贈送當地特色的禮品。迷你吧:所有都免費，按酒店老闆的話説，房間沒有任何二次消費，很贊！早餐:酒店住房是包含早餐的，因為酒店體量不大，所以早餐都是幾乎是按住客的需求來準備，甚至是現做現炒菜，很不錯。

很幸運選擇馨怡農家小院，老闆娘熱情的很，給了古城地圖，詳細介紹了各個景點，規劃的路線很好，少跑冤枉路，環境相當不錯，乾淨衞生，土坑睡起來很舒服，一覺到天亮，小院離景區相當近，出門就能座遊覽車很方便，老闆娘SPA手藝不錯，有幸體驗了一下，跑一天回到小院。經絡按摩，扒罐，緩解一天的疲勞，，總之相當滿意，好詳必須給。

AAReally nice place, but as for most hotels, you cannot expect the staff to speak English (not a problem for me, but if you don't speak any Chinese be prepared). Location is great as it is around 2 minutes walk from 南大街/South Street and all the main museums and courtyards. The owners were very friendly and helpful, making time to explain all the places to see and were to eat. They can even help with good discounts, e.g. for the historical-themed performance '又见平遥'/Encore Pingyao as well as for restaurants. The hotel is in a beautiful traditional courtyard, very quiet area so you will sleep well at night. The room has traditional furniture, adding to the atmosphere, and while small (but good value for the price) was comfortable. The bed is a so-called 'kang' with heating - it was so comfortable in the cold winter that it was hard to get out of bed in the morning! Part of the floor has heating too. The cleanliness is good too. I would really recommend this place, very good atmosphere and with everything you need to be comfortable.

After arriving at the store, I found that the location is perfect, quiet in the midst of a hustle and bustle, near the intersection of the most lively Chenghuangmiao Street and South Street, and there is an exclusive walkway with a unique artistic conception. The store is fully equipped with good brands, including Midea home appliances, smart toilets, and Delixi switches and sockets. For hot water, there is a convenient and hygienic mineral water instant heater. The bathroom is equipped with free disposable toilet seats, disposable bath towels, and disposable towels, which are thick and of good quality. The toiletries are also of good quality, and there are disposable paper cups for drinking water. The temperature in the room is very good. It has floor heating, so it's not cold even in the middle of winter without turning on the air conditioner. The yard is very quiet, the living experience is very good and safe. The most important thing is that the boss is so nice. He gave us a map, introduced several attractions worth visiting in the ancient city and gave travel suggestions. The recommended restaurants were delicious and affordable, much better than those we found ourselves. When we checked out, the boss gave us two bottles of vinegar. From the rooms to the service, I can really feel the owner's attentiveness and taste. He runs this B&B as if it were his own home. If relatives and friends come to the ancient city in the future, I will definitely recommend this place first.

AArianeThe owner and her husband are super lovely, kind and helpful people. They drove me to the train station and helped me book a bus ticket as well. She even went back to the train station to bring some food that another traveller had left behind! The hotel is really well located right next to the old city and train. The room was lovely and cozy and made me feel like a princess. It was one of my favourite places to stay so far!

KK Hoffman (Canada)Fantastic ancient Chinese lodging with modern amenities. You get the chance to sleep on a Luohan bed. The room is a suite! Within Pingyao walled city, it was easy to go to visit the sites. The lady owner gave me a map. Even though I speak no Chinese and they speak no English, we were able to communicate using a translator app. She recommended a restaurant when I asked. They made the utmost effort to make your stay enjoyable. The owner took me to the railway station when I left. P.S. Best to download MAPS.ME as it will work offline. Google Maps does not work in China. The taxi will drop you outside the city wall and you can ride the shuttle to the hotel. Make sure you got the Chinese address. Also same possible, install the Wechat app as it is used widely in China - you text in English they translate to Chinese and vice versa.

RRinMMReally love the hotel’s a**osphere. It is cool both scenery and weather. There aren’t much noice and people around the hotel, a little walk and you will reach some of the tourist’s attraction. Some employees can speak english or if not, wechat is the best help. They also booked taxi and drop us off by the taxi, the service was wonderful. Will stay here again if there’s a chance of visiting.

MMufVinArMy stay at the Red Lantern Inn in Pingyao was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment I arrived, the owner was incredibly friendly and provided full-service hospitality. I was even greeted with a thoughtful gift of vinegar upon check-in. The hotel is unique and charming, not your typical modern hotel. The reception is located in a shop at the front, but the hotel's name is clearly displayed, making it easy to find. The directions on Trip.com were accurate, and although it’s a bit of a walk from the North Gate, it’s worth it. The atmosphere of the inn is enchanting, transporting you to old-world China. The rooms are simply designed yet very comfortable. The hotel also offers traditional costume rentals for photos, which was a fun experience. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The owner helped us arrange a bus for sightseeing and even provided a free ride to the Pingyaogucheng Railway Station, despite it being quite far. The car was spacious and comfortable. To top it all off, I experienced my first snowfall here, making my stay even more magical. I highly recommend the Red Lantern Inn to anyone visiting Pingyao. It’s a place that offers not just a stay, but an unforgettable cultural experience!

SSaucyIf you want to explore the ancient town of Pingyao, then this hotel is fantastic. It's 15mins away from the high speed railway. They pick up and drop out off outside the city. With the covid regulations in place, the hotel supported me through the process and helped me gain entry into the city. I was then collected and driven to the hotel. Check-in was smooth and the lady helped me to book tickets for the Pingyao theatre show at the same time. I received a free upgrade from a double room to a suite. All in all, a fantastic holiday, and a great experience.

GGuest UserThe B&B is located in the center of the ancient city and is convenient for travel. The boss has carefully decorated the courtyard. When you wake up in the morning, the entire courtyard is filled with sunshine, making it warm and comfortable! The Ming and Qing Dynasty Dazhuang house we stayed in had two interior and exterior rooms. The retro home design made us feel like we were transported back in time.
