Pros: service, amenities, Western and Japanese style rooms, food, location Cons: there is no elevator in this old Japanese building, so prepare to walk up stairs; the wifi reception in our room was not reliable We had an absolutely amazingly relaxing stay during our 3-day-2-night trip, enjoying the peace Tocen Goshobo had to offer, as well as their exceptional customer service. I searched high and low to finally find this ryokan with very specific amenities. Since my elderly parents had issues with getting up from the floor had we stayed in a traditional ryokan only, while I wanted to enjoy the full traditional ryokan experience, the Deluxe Suite with Private Hot Spring and Sauna was the perfect compromise for both our wants and needs. The Deluxe Suite has both two full sized western beds that were perfect for my parents, and the tatami sitting room that could be closed off for me to sleep in with my super comfy futon bedding. By no means is the room and experience itself a compromise, as my father kept calling it the ‘Presidential suite’ since it was on the top floor, and we had abundant space with our own onsen attached to the room! The room can fit 6 total guests, and has a secret playroom, a seating nook/area with perfect natural light, a dining room with regular table and chairs (in other ryokans, my tall Caucasian husband commented on how much he missed having actual chairs with space for your legs to stretch when seated), an office, a powder room, two bidet toilets rooms, a space to prepare tea with its own sink in the tatami room, and let’s not forget the massage chair. The room was clean, tastefully appointed, had everything we needed and plenty of space to either gather, or spend some ‘me time’. We opted for breakfast and dinner at the inn, which we looked forward to each day. The breakfast was pleasant and filling, while the kaiseki dinners were amazing. Kobe beef was featured as well as plenty of seafood both nights. We had a great time with our host, Yoshinori Tatebe-san, who tolerated my many questions of ‘what is this?’ or ‘how do we eat this?!’; his professionalism absolutely made our meals a tremendous delight! The location of the ryokan/onsen is ideal, walking distance to everything and right next to a bus stop. It’s in the heart of the Arima area, which has many temples, restaurants, and shops to explore. One cannot deny the outstanding customer service Tocen Goshobo’s team offers. Shout out to Hatsumi and Matsu at the front desk, making sure we were well taken care of, offering absolutely above and beyond service! When Hatsumi was helping me get settled on my first day arrival, I had asked her about the beautiful tokonoma (alcove) that was in the wa****su (tatami room). Unfortunately, I had asked so many questions she couldn’t quite answer me fully! A few days later, she showed me a note where she apparently took the time to think over my question and write it out in English so I would understand the importance of the a

Sheraton is a very safe international hotel chain, he has a certain standard, in the Marriott system, is the positioning of the senior brand. In Sheraton Kobe, his decoration is quite old, and there is a distance from the city. However, the quality of the personnel is basically online. It is also good for Marriott members. Platinum treatment is not falling, but late check-out needs to be discussed. This time there are other itinerary. So there is no late check-out. For Asian guests who do not speak Japanese, they will also explain the hotel facilities in English seriously, and take an English-language instruction paper to the guests. For female guests who stay alone, they will also pay attention to the sense of peace of mind and security that female guests care about. Breakfast is eaten in the restaurant on the first floor. The dishes are more general, but enough to eat; the executive lounge is relatively narrow, and the HH time seats are full, so stop and go out for food. Sheraton Kobe itself is a large building volume. He is configured with railway traffic. There are some shops in the building. The highlights of the facilities inside should be hot springs. Who doesn't love hot springs? There are hot springs without going out, which is great! I like it here, because it is rare. I traveled alone in Japan. The people in this hotel did not discriminate against me, an Asian woman who stayed alone (I checked the online data, and the Japanese really treated foreigners differently! It turns out that I am not just at Dayuan B&B, The Ritz-Carlton Osaka and Mandarin Oriental Tokyo have suffered) At Sheraton Kobe, everything I encountered this time was civilized and courteous, thank them for letting me continue to love the Sheraton brand.

Arima Onsen town is a stone's throw away from both Osaka and Kobe, which is likely one reason that hotels and ryokans can charge such high rates there. Being at the upper end of the pricing echelon, Arimasansoh Goshobessho's room rates can't be considered good value. Still, we decided to spend a two-night getaway there in spite of that. Sticker shock notwithstanding, we feel that Arimasansoh can be considered among the nicer small properties that Japan has to offer. Arimasansoh is nestled at the end of a long strip of hotels in the Arima Onsen town - it's really quaint, but still within walking distance to the main tourist areas. The property is charming, and the buildings and villas blend in nicely to the calming environment that is full of trees, ponds and other pretty vegetation. Stepping into the grounds for the first time will instantly reduce your blood pressure - it's that soothing of a place. Service is refined, if a bit formal; we could tell they've all been comprehensively trained in Japanese hospitality. Given the clientele that stays there, being discreet and unobtrusive is probably appropriate. The sprawling hotel grounds are divided into two distinct sections. On the lower hillside along the banks of a river are the two-storey Maisonette rooms. We weren't able to tour this room type, but at first glance they seemed quite close together - sort of townhouse style. Further up the hill (near the reception area and the public onsen baths) are the one-storey Villa Suites, which is the room type that we stayed at. Our room was absolutely gigantic, and felt more spacious than the published size (for what it's worth, both the Maisonette and Villa Suites are listed as 100m².) There's an enormous living room as well as a large bedroom, along with a small balcony with views across the ravine. The Villas also have a bathroom the size of many hotel rooms. It comes complete with dual vanities, a sauna as well as a private Onsen (hot springs) bath. Further adding to the sense of massive space is the extremely high vaulted ceilings. Aesthetically speaking, the dark wood and dark brown furnishings were a bit on the dark side (for our tastes); the lighting was barely sufficient to prevent the room from exhibiting a gloomy feel - but just barely. The Onsen bath is nice; however, it's not of the free-flowing variety... it's empty and you fill the tub with the Onsen water by turning on the bath tap, just as you would a regular bath. It wouldn't be a problem but for the fact that the water trickles out at a glacial pace. We literally had to let the water run for over 30 minutes before the tub was filled up halfway. Arimasansoh also offers a communal Onsen bath area, one each for women and men. As was the case with the Onsen in the Villa, the water is unique in that it's brackish brown in color. And, you can really smell the sulfur. Arima Onsen is renowned for the (alleged) healing powers of its mineral hot springs; whether you believe it or

It was good to have all-you-can-drink meal plan and all-you-can-eat crab. Unsatisfactory if it is only a buffet. Costa coffee was delicious. There are many small children. The room is large and comfortable on the 4 floor. It is rare that there was no bottle of drinking water and there was no hair cap in the room or bathroom. (So there is no cleansing, pigment wash, or lotion) The hot spring is only an open-air bath. The color of the hot water is brown brown, which seems to be iron-rich. There are two types of indoor baths: enzyme baths, sleeping baths and saunas. There are many people taking a day trip bath. There is a color 々 such as amusement parks for free admission on the large site, so you can spend a relaxing time. There were flowers, vegetables and ripe strawberries, which was delicious. It was said that the cherry blossoms would be sold out if they could not go early.

RREFTZ**Convenient Location**
First off, the location is fantastic! It’s really close to all the attractions, shops, and some great restaurants. I loved being able to explore the area without having to travel far.
**Easy and cheap Parking**
Another big plus was the cheap parking. It made my life so much easier, especially since I didn’t have to stress about finding a spot. It felt like a real bonus!
**Clean and Comfortable**
The hotel itself is on the smaller side, but it’s super clean and well-maintained. My room was cozy and had everything I needed. Plus, the air conditioning was amazing—it kept the room nice and cool, which was perfect after a day out exploring.
**Diverse Atmosphere**
I also enjoyed the diverse mix of guests, including many travelers from abroad, which added a fun vibe to the place. The staff were friendly and always ready to help, making me feel right at home.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel in Kobe! With its great location, free parking, and comfy rooms, it’s a lovely spot for anyone looking to enjoy the city.
GGuest User1 months ago, the hotel in Kanazawa was good, so I stayed here for a while before the opening. It was a little rainy, but I was moving in the arcade, so I was almost wet. Arrived without the view from the room, so the surrounding hotels and buildings are assumed. The room is clean and the bathroom is separate. The breakfast was delicious. I thought again, but the size of the tissue box is easy to use. The small type of square has been hard to get, so it's good to recur. Look, I knew there was only a disposable slipper, so this time I checked in and I gave you an additional reason. I'm sorry.
MMin HianThe hotel location and amenties are excellent, so well situated to other locations. shopping centres and eateries are well within reach and convenient. Hotel's morning breakfast was well spread and good. The staff was very helpful with my concern. Great hotel to visit again for my next visit.
CCookie118Location is really good 5 - 10 minute walk from the train station (sannomiya) and ikuta jinja. Their is also a matusya right next to the hotel that is 24 hour, so it is perfectly for breakfast and dinner. There is also a lawsons 30 seconds away which is very convenient. The room was very clean and the amenities were very good too. The staff at the front desk also spoke some English, which made the check-in and check-out much easier, plus it was 24h too. I didn't have any issues but if you do the staff will be able to help you.
GGuest UserThe nice appearance inside and outside the building is in other word of mouth, so there is little information about the bath 々. The bath here is directly connected to the Goshobo source, and you can enjoy fresh hot springs more than the head family's Goshobo. There are two private baths like a slightly larger family bath, and it is a system that can be used at any time if it is free without reservation. Since you can use the large communal bath of Goshobo for a certain time in the evening, everyone seems to be going there, and both of these baths were monopolized and unlimited from afternoon to night. It is a perfect inn for hot springs, but it is a little expensive for long stays. I have to cut 10,000 yen without meals for one night.

GGuest UserI used it for the first time. It is very convenient because it is close to Sannomiya Station and there are many commercial facilities and restaurants. The front was a main road, but the room was quiet. The staff 々 also felt good, and it was helpful to keep my luggage for a little time after checking out. The room was clean and he had a view of the city. (Middle floor) The buffet-style breakfast was also fulfilling and delicious for the reasonable accommodation fee. It is convenient to walk to the sightseeing tour bus stop in 5 minutes ~ 6 minutes.
GGuest UserI went by car. The parking lot is opposite the multi-storey car park and the inn. It may be a little small if you go by large car. The parking lot on the day of stay can be parked after 10 am. I checked in at 15:00, but I arrived early because it was crowded the day before the Arima Onsen holiday. After taking a walk, I returned to the inn at 14:00. From there, I was allowed to wait for an hour at the front desk. 10 minutes ago, the male staff explained the facilities and emergency exits in the building while saying an extra word that it was a little early. If you are an inn like this, you will serve welcome tea and sweets and entertain you at first, but it may be a shortage of labor. The room had an open-air bath. I was satisfied with the massage chair, but unlike the image I saw in advance, the sheets were laid on the mattress. Did you miss the futon? It was so thin. For dinner, he offered beef and sashimi close to the edge, probably because he was conscious of profitability. The white rice is not sharpened well or it is scalded. The soup stock tastes like the second soup stock, probably because it was taken wrong. When I was sleeping early in the morning, I woke up with the loud sound of dropping the plate in preparation for breakfast. For breakfast, the squid sashimi was messed up, probably because I dropped the plate. He gave it to me without putting it in the envelope at check-out. Thank you very much. No word. I didn't help carry my luggage even though there were three people at the entrance. The family next door was helping me pretending to be unseeing. Older women have high customer service capabilities, and young women have the lowest customer service capabilities. I felt that tradition was obsolete in this way. Arima has other good inns. The inn that cannot be multiplied by hot springs, food and customer service is the worst. I was disappointed.

KKAH GUANthis hotel situated in very good location beside Shin Kobe Station which can get you to anywhere such as Osaka, Kyoto, Himeiji, even Tokyo. The hotel is consider rather big as compared to local Japanese hotel. Services & breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.
GGuest UserIt is not surprising that ”ginsen” is everywhere, but ”ginsen” is not so easy. It was originally said that it would spring only from the spring source in the limited area of the north of Mt. Atago, and I thought the height was pumped up. I heard that there are many new spring sources now. Because this is ”Atago Yama Izumi source”, is it ”shoba Yama Izumi source” that can be seen behind the condominium? Jinsen is a thick hot water, and maintenance seems to be difficult everywhere. I look for an inn because the day trip hot water is already troublesome. Arima can be luxurious because the rich people of keihanshin gather. Is the inn of Kanpo one standard for cooking? When you look at the list page of the inn of the Arima Onsen Tourism Association HP, it is often displayed as ”one person travel OK”, but it does not appear in the HP plan of the inn. It is not understood considering the management of the inn. I want 2 food because the sashimi and pot materials on the table are not different. It is not old but not new. It is a building of the times, and it is convenient to be able to stay at the price for traveling alone. It seems that the management mother body will change from April. I hope it will be more convenient.

Very Good
Mmanetantan Close to the nearest Oishi station and was like a residential area. I had to transfer to Koshien Stadium and Himeji. Only shower, but I think it is better for the main tourist than accommodation. There was a drag store next to it, and it was convenient to buy a little snack.
