Very near the metro station and 5 mins car ride from shanghai railway station. The staff were so nice, they wrote heartwarming letters to us everyday (noticed our clothes were lying around and helped us to hang it up etc, provided specs cloth cus she noticed specs lying around) They also let us checked in early (due to available rooms) which gave us much needed rest. Washing and drying clothes were very convenient, the hotel staff will even send our clothes back to our room. We will definitely return, the service is top notch!

I am very happy with my first stay in Crowne Plaza Hotel. The Premier Twin room was very new and clean. Location was good as Nanjing Road pedestrian mall was behind and a few minutes walk to People Square metro station. Good breakfast buffet spread with chinese and western selection. There is a chinese restaurant adjoining the hotel called Sunya and it serves good dim sum and chinese food.

Our family had stayed 2 rooms for 3 nights on the 27-30, Dec 2024. Our stay were memorable and amazing. The rooms were so clean with very nice view, the breakfast line were delicious and has many variety of food both western and Chinese. The staffs were the most impressive, they could speak very good english and very friendly. The duty manager is very helpful too. I forgot the souvenir which was the Chinese embroidered traditional fan and just realized when I got back home, the duty manager was very enthusiastic and putting a lot of efforts in getting the forgot item back to me. Thank you so much, I’m really impressed and highly appreciated your hard work and kindness.

This is the 3rd stay of ours since June when we actually did stay twice. Being impressed therefrom, we decided to stay again in this impressive hotel this time. For a small hotel, the room is pretty big! The breakfast buffet was impressive but what was inconvenient were the stairs in between rooms. However being a heritage building it is understandable as they tried to keep most of the facets. The staff were extremely helpful with my luggage and I noticed a majority of them were female! I felt safe and taken care of here as a solo female traveler!

We had an excellent stay of 6 nights. The staff are very attentive, and even left us a few more bottles of water after noticing that we had finished our purchased bottles. The highlights include the grand architecture of the hotel, its garden, and the facilities that include gym, pool, bath and sauna. We will be back when traveling in Shanghai.

One of my favorite hotels in Shanghai is Pullman Shanghai Jingan. I visited Shanghai three times in 2024 and stayed in various hotels, including both local accommodations and international hotel chains. I would say that Pullman Shanghai Jingan is ideally located for travelers who commute by train and want to stay in the heart of the city while avoiding the crowds of Nanjing Road. The breakfast was fantastic, and the service was exceptional. This is a 5-star hotel, and it truly lives up to its rating. As for the amenities, you need to request them at the front desk. Once requested, they are promptly provided. I would definitely return to this hotel if I visit China again.

The location of the hotel is fantastic and highly convenient. However, it seems the hotel lacks sufficient experience in accommodating families. As a family of three, we requested an extra bed for our room but were disappointed to learn that none were available. After three nights, we were informed that beds had become available, but upon returning to our room, no bed was provided. This highlighted a significant communication issue among the staff. On a positive note, the hotel staff (especially the manager in service department) took responsibility for their mistakes, offering sincere apologies and compensations such as a room upgrade and complimentary lounge access. I appreciated their efforts to address the situation and make amends. Eventually, we did receive the extra bed during the final nights of our stay, provided free of charge as part of their apology. While I understand that mistakes can happen, I hope the hotel improves its internal communication and service delivery. With its excellent location and amenities, it has great potential to cater not only to business travelers but also to families seeking a pleasant and hassle-free stay.

First, the gym was under construction until mid-November, which was not disclosed when I made my reservation. Had I known this, I would have chosen a different hotel. Additionally, the pillows in my room had a strong, unpleasant odor. Even after changing the pillowcases, the smell persisted. Thankfully, I was able to find one pillow without the odor, which I used for the duration of my stay, but this issue really impacted my comfort. Lastly, for those sensitive to noise, I would not recommend this hotel. The cleaners were quite loud while working, and the room insulation is poor, allowing you to hear everything happening around you. For a hotel in this price range, I expected better soundproofing solutions. While the service and room quality are typically excellent, I believe these issues should be addressed to provide a better experience
