Modena by Fraser Putuo Shanghai

We had a pleasant stay. They allowed us to check in early which was a blessing for us after the long road trip. The front desk staff served us quick and friendly and spoke english as well. The room was clean and spacious, modern design. It was a loft room of two 2 queen beds, 2 TV’s, 1 bathroom, a 2 door refrigerator, small washing machine, and complete iron with table and hairdryer, it has a balcony, a small kitchen with a electric stove, complete modern utensils, plate, glass, spoons, water jug, microwave, frypan, steamed pan and even a dish foam was provided. It was located a little bit far from the city center of shanghai, but you can conveniently commute with the metro line 7, the station can be found under the mall, the right building across the hotel, the same building where we can park our car for free as our duration of our stay. On the mall basement, plenty of restaurants can be found and not packed at all, also you find a 24hrs seven eleven store in front of the hotel. The downside was the bathroom door was a bit hard to closed, everything else was perfect. We would like to stay again when visiting shanghai.

Very good location, has a mall under it and close to a metro station. Only one interchange required to the Bund, city centre. Very spacious and clean.

Very good hotel but a little bit far from City But don’t worry. It’s very near MRT station and also have HeyTea in front of the hotel!

We found out that the housekeeping team only took less than 10mins to clean our room one day as my son wanted to go back to the room to use the toilet. He didn’t disturb the team but waited outside the lift. No wonder our room always not thoroughly clean, still have hairs and dust on the floor. In Shanghai city, the hotel will be expensive if choose to stay at prime area, so I can’t comment much on the location. For us, as long as MRT is nearby then it’s good.

We travelled as a family of 3, and we chose this hotel based on the very helpful reviews left by previous travellers. Location is a distance away from the usual sightseeing spots but the convenience of food and transport around more than makes up for it. We had no trouble figuring out how to use the subway and Didi to get around even though it was our first visit. Housekeeping services were fantastic and front desk staff were helpful in receiving our packages as well as giving feedback to our enquires. It was a very enjoyable stay and we will definitely choose Modena again when we come back next.
