IntercityHotel Shanghai Hongqiao Airport Reviews

This was my first stay at an Intercity hotel. It's very close to Hongqiao Airport T1, within walking distance. The hotel is also conveniently located near Metro Line 10, making it easy to get to Hongqiao Railway Station and Airport T2. Visiting Nanjing East Road and Lujiazui is also very convenient from here.

This hotel completely exceeded my expectations! The lobby is spacious, bright, and beautifully decorated, with a subtle, pleasant aroma. My room was very spacious, featured a practical layout, and offered a great view. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the shower's water temperature and pressure were perfect. Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, including local specialties. Its location is incredibly convenient: right opposite Terminal 1 and just one metro stop from Shanghai Zoo. The front desk service was excellent. I wholeheartedly give it five stars!

This was my first time staying at an Intercity Hotel. It's conveniently located very close to the airport, and the surroundings are quite pleasant. As it suddenly turned overcast and rainy in Hongqiao that afternoon, and I had nowhere else to go, I decided to book a day-use room to rest at the hotel. The room itself was a bit small, and the elevator along with some doors showed signs of wear, suggesting that the facility maintenance could be improved. Otherwise, everything else was satisfactory.

Due to a summit, my flight was moved up by a day. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find that the terminal had also switched from T1 to T2. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from T1, but a 10-minute taxi ride from T2. Despite these unexpected changes, it was still quite manageable. The hotel was very clean, and with the subway station directly across the street, getting around was incredibly convenient. The room facilities were excellent, including a bathroom with wet/dry separation, a mini-fridge, and an iron – all very thoughtful details. The lights and curtains were fully automated. I was very satisfied with my stay.

Despite arriving very late on our family trip due to a flight delay, the lady at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful. She even prepared children's slippers and disposable amenities for us. The room was also impeccably clean, ensuring we had a very pleasant night. We'll definitely choose to stay at Intercity Hotel again on our next trip to the area.

While the hotel may not be five-star, its service truly feels six-star! We arrived very late at night, needing to catch an early flight the next morning. Despite only staying one night, we were deeply touched by the night manager's incredible kindness and thoughtfulness. He thoughtfully prepared breakfast bags for us, and noticing our heavy luggage, he arranged a room conveniently located near the elevator. The next morning, he even had a security guard drive us to the airport – it was incredibly heartwarming! We'll definitely stay here again next time if we have the chance, just to enjoy that six-star service again! The hotel's location is fantastic, just a five-minute walk from Hongqiao Terminal 1. The facilities are new, the layout is practical, and the rooms are quite spacious. But truly, the service is their absolute highlight! Simply excellent!

This was my second stay here! The hotel is conveniently located right next to Hongqiao International Airport T1, offering direct access to Metro Line 10. This makes it incredibly seamless and efficient for catching early/late flights, layovers, or transferring to trains. The hotel boasts an elegant and comfortable ambiance. Rooms are well-appointed with modern facilities, and the smart toilet is a fantastic touch. The service is exceptionally thoughtful and attentive. The breakfast buffet was diverse and delicious.

The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the location was great. everything was soooo good!

Rooms were very clean and spacious Big smart TV and just 3min walk to the subway station. Definitely will return to stay again.

Great place to stay for quick access to the Hongqiao railway station. It’s although the same place we were two years ago and the ownership was changed from Mecure to Intercity hotel.  But way better than previous. I arrived by city train from pudong airport to Hongqiao terminal 2 in 35min and had an easy change to line 10 to terminal 1. Out of the subway it’s only about 40m walk. line 10 also goes to Hongqiao station and east Nanjing road. The hotel is newly renovated and very modern equipped probably the best one I ever stayed at. Also the breakfast even with a German bratwurst:-) was a great experience at high level. Personal was very friendly and helpful. Last but not least the price of 52Euro was a hammer.  It’s definitely a good recommendation for someone who wants to get to railway station or both airports.

Effective location and very good hotel for short stay in connection with trips with airline and train

New hotel, very clean and good rooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good as well.

Staffs at the front desk were kind and had translator which made us easy to communicate. The location is just good as it is less than 10 minutes away from Hongqiao airport terminal 1 and just in front of the metro station line 10. Room was clean and quiet at night.
