Honestly, we had the best time at Funny Lion Resort! From the start, everything felt top-notch. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, always ready to help and just really made us feel welcome. There were so many complimentary perks too, which was such a nice surprise. It felt like they really went above and beyond to make the stay special. What I loved the most is that the resort pretty much has everything you need—you seriously don’t have to leave. There are activities, great restaurants, a cozy coffee bar, and more all right there. We didn’t even feel the need to go out and explore because everything we wanted was already in the resort. The whole place has a super relaxing vibe, perfect for just chilling and enjoying the moment. It was such a good escape from the usual busy life. Would 100% go back—and probably will, again and again. Can’t recommend it enough!

I would recommend The Funny Lion for anyone staying in Puerto Princesa. The hotel was very clean, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the facilities were excellent. Everything from the rooms to the amenities was well-maintained and comfortable. I had a great stay and would definitely come back again!

The hotel and food are good. Night light need to improve as sone areas is too dark.

It was a nice stay at funny lion. They have a nice pool view and bfast not bad. Would be nice if they offer free airport transfer and body lotion.

I had the most amazing time during my stay at The Funny Lion. First and most important thing to mention is how amazing the staff were. From the coffee bar to the restaurant, every person treated me with such warmth and grace, and some of them even remembered my name. Secondly, the food was great. The morning breakfast had a great array of options with some Filipino elements which I looked forward to every morning. Enjoying some garlic rice and eggs next to the sunlit pool was a perfect start to the morning. Location was great too, close to the airport and a short ride away from nice cafes (nothing to too far in PP to be honest). You could also take a boat or kayak out to the sand bar which is such a nice touch to complete the full experience offered by the resort. Rooms were big, clean and amenities were amazing. All in all, I only have praises for TFL, I will definitely stay here again should I ever return to Palawan.

A beautiful place to spend some relaxing time. Excellent service very good food and clean rooms. 

Loved the hotel! & excellent value for money. Had the dinner buffet & breakfast buffet - both was average and some food cold. Reception staff forgot to book our airport transfer. Had to order personally on phone to avoid delay.

We are very much treated well by the staff particularly Abby and Ken from the front desk. As for the amenities like kayaking, sea cycling and sandbar visit, I suggest that these be available as early as 6:30 and not 8 am because guest like us needs to attend meetings. By the time that we are available, it is already low tide and guest could not enjoy it anymore. Lunch and breakfast at the Hunt is superb. I am looking forward for another stay with you.

Nice and quiet with relaxing atmosphere

We stayed here over the Christmas period and it was a lovely stay quiet and clean with the most attentive staff. Would stay here again

This hotel has the best service we have ever experienced. Abby at the front desk and Mark, the new bartender, were phenomenal. Dinner at both restaurants was great and the breakfast buffet each morning had a lot of variety and everyone loved it. Pool area is a great space with the ability to enjoy cocktails poolside. Rooms were great. Loved this place.

There is absolutely no sense of service at this hotel. Our room wasn’t even cleaned — we returned at 6 PM only to find it untouched. We had also informed the hotel in advance that our flight was at 3:40 PM, and that we needed to pick up a friend nearby on the way to the airport. They initially agreed with no issues. However, when we went to the front desk at 1:30 PM to ask about our van, they told us we never booked it — despite the prior confirmation — and claimed it had already been reserved by someone else. After some back-and-forth, they said they could still take us to the airport, but then suddenly refused to pick up our friend, saying it was not possible. This kind of disorganized, unprofessional service is unacceptable. I do not recommend staying at this hotel.
