I requested for something but it was rejected. The staff wasn't that helpful after all, not sure is it they aren't comfortable with speaking English? Site undergoing renovation. There is a 7-11 nearby

Close to jr and shinkansen!

I strongly recommend not to stay at kokoHotel Sendai Ekimae SOUTH. I had many problems during my long stay at kokoHotel Sendai Ekimae SOUTH on business travel. I feel that the quality of the manager, hotel staff and cleaning staff at kokoHotel Sendai Ekimae SOUTH is not high compared to many other hotels in Sendai city. It is common to find dust and hair in the rooms and mold on the bathroom and curtains. They do not properly inspect the rooms after cleaning and I feel that the management is not good. I have stayed there many times for work, but I have never felt that any of the rooms were clean. Some examples of problems that have happened to me are: 1) There were two times when the cleaning staff forgot to close the window that they opened when cleaning, and when I returned to my room late at night, the rain and wind blew into the room. 2) The drain pipe in the bathroom was clogged, and the toilet flooded twice in two different rooms. 3) The refrigerator connected to the wall was turned off twice, and the food inside spoiled. Since talking to the hotel side did not solve anything, I contacted the inquiry number of "Polaris Holdings Headquarters", the parent company of kokoHotel Sendai Ekimae SOUTH. The male employee who answered the phone did not confirm the situation at all and just said "We will not provide you with a room. We will refund your money, so please leave immediately. We will refuse accommodation at all our hotels in the future." So even though I had a reservation for a few days, I moved to another hotel. Even if a guest points out an incident that was due to the hotel's mistake, the higher-ups do not understand the situation and immediately refuse to let me stay, so I think it's only natural that kokoHotel Sendai Ekimae SOUTH's service is poor.

Walls are like paper. You can hear everyone talking in a nearby room. It is difficult to sleep at night when you hear someone's voice.

There is 3 convenient store around you walking distance to shopping center

Very new for the facilities, good service and nice room.

The staff were quite attentive to the requests that we were asked to do so at the front desk such as receiving our luggage in our stead when it was delivered and there were many kinds of amenities to the personal choice of the guests.

Can offer different kinds of pillows

Terribly noisy and hot. No air conditioner or way to control the room temperature. You could open the window, I guess. But that would increase the already unbearable noise of the construction rampaging directly outside. Thin walls too, could hear the couple next door giggling and playing through the night. So if you like hot, noisy spaces, this is the place for you. The bed and bathroom were totally fine. And maybe I was just there on the wrong day. But to have no air conditioner/heater in a hotel in a modern country like this, that's quite absurd. If you have the ability, stay somewhere else. It's not worth the risk.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. It was clean, and the location was very convenient for a weekend stay at Sendai. There are several convenience stores nearby and lots of restaurants and malls within a short walking distance. I hope that they can provide more pillows as a default standard. :D

Convenient & good value

It was a nice place to crash for 1 night. The room is quite small, same as the other decent hotels in Japan. But the location is THE BEST. Strategic and very close to everywhere!
