Toyoko Inn Fukui Ekimae Reviews

Hotel was located right next to the train station which was very convenient. Self Check-in and -out was simple via an automated station but the staff was quick to assist as it was my first time. Breakfast was rice with salad potato salad, omelette, miso soup and some bread. Orange juice or iced tea was also provided. Room was quite standard as with other hotels I've stayed in. Basic amenities are available to pick up at the ground floor if necessary.

The staffs not quite friendly. Location is excellent and just next to the station.

Great hotel in Fukui. Modern clean with friendly and patient staff. Breakfast was great and they continue serving coffee through until 10 if you want to top up your caffeine intake. The hotel is about 20 steps from the JR station right next door as well as the Echigo Railway. The up side of this was I was able to dash to the hotel and leave my bag there saving me a few hundred yen on a locker and then boarding the Echigo railway for a day trip to Katsuyama. The down side is you do get a fair bit of noise from the trains trundling past. Overall though it very happy.

It was right near the station, and the location was great. The room was clean and I was very satisfied. However, I had to bring my loungewear from the lobby, so I kept forgetting to bring it.

I stayed in a twin room for 3 days without any problems. I was grateful that breakfast was included.

There were a lot of guests so the breakfast was crowded. It can't be helped, but that was the only disappointment. The rest was good enough.

Average breakfast. It’s the worst I’ve ever stayed in Japan. 😅 The hotel is relatively old-fashioned. The only saving grace is that it is isolated at the station.

It was a very clean and comfortable hotel. The location is good and I think even a woman can stay there alone with peace of mind.

The room was clean and the surrounding noise was not an issue. I had no particular issues staying there, but if I had to say one thing, it would be that the parking lot can get crowded due to its location. It was full, so I was directed to a public parking lot. An additional fee was charged. This seemed more to do with the poor design of the roundabout at Fukui Station than a problem with the hotel.

The location is perfect, just on the right after exiting the west exit of JR Fukui Station. The double room is spacious enough, so suitcases can be spread out without any problem. The only drawback is that the rooms on the station side will hear the pedestrian crossing prompts outside very early, and the windows are not soundproofed enough.

The transportation is very convenient. You can see it when you exit the station. It's a chain hotel and maintains a certain standard. The front desk person I met that day seemed to be more friendly. There were stains on the bed sheets that were not cleaned. I hoped that the waiter would come to change them, but they said that when changing, the guest needs to leave the room before the bed sheet changing service can be provided. Because it snowed heavily that day and I didn't want to go out, I took the new bed sheets from the waiter and spread them on the stained bed sheets myself.

The location is close to the station and convenient for eating.

All aspects are good, it would be better if the breakfast is richer

The location is right outside JR Fukui Station. The location is very convenient. There is a full-process automatic check-in machine. The front desk staff is quite enthusiastic. I will stay at this Toyoko next time I come to Fukui
