"The room was quiet, clean, and had a wonderful view of the lake, which was very refreshing. The owner provided excellent service. I needed a desk for my laptop and they immediately set one up for me. Even before I arrived, they sent me recommendations for local food and breakfast spots via WeChat, which was incredibly thoughtful. There was an aromatherapy scent in the room upon entering; while I, as a man, wasn't particularly fond of it, it certainly showed the owner's attentiveness. The room itself was tastefully decorated and well-arranged. Upon check-out, there was even a dedicated room where we could store our luggage, showcasing the owner's thoroughness and attention to detail at every turn."

"I chose this hotel at first glance while searching, and I wasn't disappointed after my stay! The location is superb, extremely close to the scenic spot entrance, saving a lot of travel time. The room view is amazing; you can see the scenery as soon as you open the window, perfect for taking photos. The cleanliness is top-notch, even the corners are spotless, and all toiletries are disposable, which is reassuring and hygienic. The staff are all very enthusiastic, proactively helping with luggage and patiently answering all sorts of questions. The price is also very affordable; this quality is truly great value. "My destination was Optics Valley, which required about an hour’s drive in the rain. The Hubei Provincial Museum is located nearby, making this hotel a convenient choice for visitors planning to tour the museum. The breakfast was excellent, the facilities were well maintained, and the staff were kind and attentive. However, as with many hotels in Wuhan, travelers who do not speak Chinese may encounter some communication difficulties due to the language barrier—a common challenge across most parts of China outside of Shanghai."

"I started my trip by booking the wrong hotel - same name but in a different city. The hotel graciously agreed to a full refund even though it was well beyond the refund period. I was grateful for that. When I arrived, the hotel was centrally located right across from the walking street full of shopping and good food. The staff at the hotel was polite, warm and well trained. I’d like to make special mention of Mr Peter (子延）from concierge services. Even though he was only a trainee at the hotel, he went above and beyond his duties to help me sort out my issues with my local deliveries."

"Very nice hotel. We enjoy our stay of three nights. Front desk service is very helpful. Across the street has excellent bakeries and light lunch choices.  At night there is a night market with plenty of food stalls."

"The hotel's name is poetic, and its location is super convenient with a subway station right downstairs. This is the most comfortable and best-designed hotel room I've ever stayed in; it truly feels like a home away from home. Front desk staff Xiao Zhou arranged the best-located room in the entire hotel for me. From now on, whenever I'm in Wuhan, this is the only place I'll stay."

With subway access just at the basement, it’s an ideal destination for both business travelers and vacationers looking to explore the area. Our recent stay in a two-bedroom apartment with a fantastic night city view was enjoyable, with a few minor hiccups that didn’t overshadow the overall experience. Check-In Experience:** The check-in process was smooth and efficient. The staff greeted us with warm smiles and complimentary drinks, setting a welcoming tone for our stay. They provided detailed information about the hotel's amenities and nearby attractions. Room Quality:** Our two-bedroom apartment was spacious and well-appointed, featuring a stunning night view of the city skyline. The modern decor created a cozy atmosphere, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The kitchen area was well-equipped, with coffee machine, washer and dryer, making it easy during our stay. Amenities:** The hotel offers a variety of amenities, including a fitness center, sauna and jacuzzi. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the restaurant, with Wuhan noodles made to order. Location:** Located above a vibrant mall, Somerset Hotel provides easy access to a variety of shops and restaurants right at your doorstep. The subway exit in the basement makes getting around the city incredibly convenient. While the highway is nearby, the hotel maintains a peaceful atmosphere, making it a great place to unwind after a busy day. Service:** Overall, the service was excellent. Staff members were attentive and quick to address any concerns. A special shoutout to COCO who went above and beyond to assist us throughout our stay. She was proactive in ensuring we had everything we needed, making our experience even more enjoyable. Additionally, Manager APRIL deserves high praise for all the wonderful arrangements she made for our visit.  Conclusion:** Somerset Hotel is a lovely place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the city. With its friendly staff, great amenities, and prime location, we would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, yet convenient getaway. We’ll definitely consider returning in the future!"

"I stayed many times at this hotel as I frequently travel to Wuhan and it saddens me to say this hotel service is only worsen every time I stay there. It is the ONLY 5 stars hotel in China where no one assist you with your luggage when you arrive or go. No one greet you, you receive nothing from the management, no fruits at your room, really nothing is welcoming you to stay there even tough I always take the largest room. Breakfast (especially the famous Wuhan hot noodles) was not good in the first two days, don't know what happened that it changed after. no consistency no service really nothing special in the room. Starting next time I will stay at one of the Marriot hotels in the city."

"The apartment lake view is beautiful, and there's plenty of natural light. The apartment has everything you need, including a microwave and a washing machine. The surrounding cleanliness, however, needs improvement. From the elevator to the hallway is not very clean. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and would recommend this place. It's a walking distance to Wuhan metro line 7 and mixc shopping mall."
