"I stayed here for two nights in Banff and had a very pleasant experience overall. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The bed was especially comfortable, allowing me to rest well after a long day exploring the mountains. I would like to especially thank Marilyn, who was very kind and helpful throughout my stay. She made the check-in process smooth and was professional and welcoming. Her warm attitude truly made a difference. The location was convenient, with easy access to downtown Banff, restaurants, and nearby attractions. Overall, it offered good value for the price, and I would gladly stay here again on my next visit to Banff."

"I recently stayed at Irwin’s Mountain Inn for a quick winter getaway, and overall, it’s a solid choice for those who want to be in the heart of Banff without the premium price tag of the luxury resorts. What I Loved: The Location: You really can't beat being right on Banff Avenue. It was a quick, scenic 5-10 minute walk to the downtown core for dinner and shopping. Plus, the ski shuttle stop is just steps away, which is a massive plus in January. The Amenities: After a cold day outside, the 8-person hot tub and dry cedar sauna were highlights. They were well-maintained and exactly what I needed to thaw out. The Staff: From check-in to check-out, the service was genuinely warm. They were happy to provide local tips and made the process seamless. On-site Dining: We grabbed breakfast at El Toro Restaurant inside the hotel. The food was surprisingly good—definitely a step above your standard hotel fare—and very convenient on a chilly morning. A Few Considerations: Noise Levels: As some other travelers have noted, the walls are a bit thin. I could occasionally hear activity in the hallways and the hum of the heating system, though it didn't ruin my sleep. Parking: The underground parking is a great perk (especially to keep the snow off the car), but it is limited and quite tight. If you’re arriving late in the evening during peak season, you might have to hunt for a spot. Room Vibe: The rooms are clean and functional, but they do feel a bit ”classic.” If you are looking for ultra-modern luxury, this isn't it—but for a cozy, budget-friendly mountain base, it hits the mark. Final Verdict: A fantastic mid-range option for winter travelers. It’s clean, cozy, and perfectly situated. I’d definitely stay here again for the convenience and the hot tub alone!"

"We did a little staycation in Banff from Calgary and overall had a great time. The cave pool was a big hit, but just a heads up that it’s not really a “swimming pool.” It’s more like a large cave-style hot tub. It’s shallow, and the water is fairly hot, so the kids couldn’t really swim or put their faces under the water. The cave setup is very cool though, and the adults really enjoyed it for relaxing. The dry sauna was also great. We stayed in a suite with two double beds, plus a living area with a sofa bed, a dining area, and a kitchenette. We were happy with the layout. The suite was clean, but it is definitely dated. One downside was the TVs. I know you don’t go to Banff to sit and watch TV, but it would be nice if they updated to smart TVs. If you’re traveling with kids, I’d suggest bringing a Fire Stick or Chromecast. Even an HDMI cable to connect a laptop would work, but make sure you download movies ahead of time because the Wi-Fi in our area was pretty spotty and the kids kept losing connection. The front desk staff were fantastic. Friendly, helpful, and efficient. They made parking easy, provided bus passes, and explained local info without us having to ask a bunch of questions. We’d stay here again, and next time we’ll definitely bring something for the TV so we can do an easy movie night after a busy day."

"The staffs were friendly. The environment was good. The downside is not restaurants, no pool and washer and dryer they are share with other hotel. But if you have children that not very convenient."

"Nestled on the slopes of Sulphur Mountain, a stone's throw from both the gondola and the Upper Hot Springs, the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is a rare find in Banff – a resort that offers both tranquility and stunning views. Its location, slightly removed from the main street, ensures exceptional quietude. Stepping out, you're greeted by pine forests and valleys, exuding that quintessential Rocky Mountain charm. The rooms are spacious and spotless, with excellent soundproofing. The mattress, while on the softer side, provides ample support. I highly recommend opting for a Mountain View room; waking up to the sight of morning mist swirling around the peaks is incredibly therapeutic. The hotel's dining options are of high quality, especially the Eden restaurant, which is renowned locally for its fine dining. The pool, sauna, and gym are all well-equipped, and curling up by the lobby fireplace in winter is wonderfully cozy. Overall, while the Fairmont Banff Springs doesn't pursue an overtly luxurious style, its environment, views, and privacy are outstanding, offering great value for money. It's a consistently excellent choice in the Banff area."

"Pros: Extremely good location. They have an attached restaurant and cafe right next to the hotel. Very clean facilities. Rooms spacious and has nice views of the town. Staff always very polite and helpful in giving recommendations and allowing us to use the telephone. Able to store bags there after checking out as well. Cons: no safe provided in the room Highly recommend staying here!"

"Best priced accoms in banff during summer, very well equiped with shower gel, hot water, hair dryer, laundry, cafe for breakfast and dinner. Hostel provides free roam transit bus pass for routes 1, 2, 4, 6 and is valid for 3 days, very useful to get to town and around even lake minnewanka, two jack, johnson and cascade ponds! Comfortable room, top notch service."

"Location on sidewalk of central Banff town. Don't let the photos online scare you away from booking this hotel... they make the rooms look dated and not fresh. However, the rooms were modern and fresh. Free parking lot for hotel. Would definitely stay again and we're kinda prissy about our hotel comfort haha."

"We had a great time at Canoe. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and bed was comfortable. Soaking in the hot tubs were a great way to relax after a long day. It was easy to find parking (at least during the winter when we went) and a multi-day bus pass is provided if you don’t want to drive or walk to downtown Banff. Only complaint is that the heater/AC unit is below the window and the air would hit the occupants of the bed closest to it. We worked about it by blocking the air with a chair."

"The Otter Hotel was amazing. 10/10 I would highly recommend staying here when staying in Banff. The rooms and bathroom are beautiful and kept clean. The staff are welcoming and they truly go above and beyond. Reece was particularly helpful with anything we needed. Thank you for the fantastic stay!"
