We booked a two bedroom room at this hotel. Overall our experience was good.
+
* Location was good and the check in and check out procedure was quick and painless.
* The price was very reasonable and the staff very friendly.
-
* There was no cleaning service. You can ask the staff to come in and clean but all they do is empty the garbage bins. When you are at the beach every day you will bring sand back to the room all the time so for 5 days we had sandy floors and sandy beds.
* There were no real towels in the room but disposable ones that you use once and throw away. As someone who cares about the environment I cannot accept this. We have to do better and normal towels can be washed and used again.
Note that you will pay 200rmb as a deposit for bedding but it was quickly reimbursed even without checking.
Also the location pin on Trip.com is not correct for this hotel. We had to ask at another hotel and they called someone to take us to it.

Had a great time staying here, the owner is so friendly. He helped us out so much. It’s a great location too, in the middle of everything but tucked away so your can’t hear anything. Perfect

really nice staff, pretty nice hotel. One small complaint is that I specifically booked the room with a protector so that we could watch movies, but when we ask the staff how to use it they say they don't know. we figured it out eventually, but I don't understand what the point is of advertising a room with a projector if the workers have no idea how to use it

This time I came to Houhai and found a very good B&B. The environment was very good, and it was quiet and pleasant. It was less than a minute away from the beach and just over a minute away from the snack street. It was so comfortable.
