Renaissance Sanya Haitang Bay Resort Reviews

This is the closest 5-star Sanya hotel to Haikou. Right off the highway, you're at the Renaissance Resort & Spa. Since it's off-season, it's very quiet and not crowded. The clouds by the sea are incredibly beautiful, and you can even catch a stunning 'fire cloud' sunset. Excellent value for money!

Our family had a rare trip to Sanya. Although May is the off-season, it was still incredibly hot, especially when visiting the islands – the 'felt temperature' was extremely high. Looking forward to our next trip to Sanya!

The room balcony offered sea views, and given its proximity to the ocean, a slight dampness was expected and normal. Thankfully, a dehumidifier was provided in the room. The hotel service was excellent, very warm and patient. The sand on the beach was super fine, but due to strong waves in Haitang Bay, swimming in the sea wasn't allowed. However, we still had a great time playing in the pool.

We booked the Renaissance nearby because we were visiting Atlantis. The room was clean and spacious, breakfast was abundant, and food delivery was quick. There's also a shuttle bus to the airport at 2 PM, so this trip was perfect!

Honestly, because the Renaissance has been open for a long time, the facilities are showing their age, and there's definitely a lot that could be improved. However, it has three clear advantages: 1. Value for money. You can stay for under 500, which is a significant saving compared to hotels priced over 800. You really get what you pay for here. 2. The expansive coastal views are fantastic, and the overall environment is quite good. 3. If you have a complimentary breakfast voucher, the breakfast is actually delicious. So, even though it might sound like I'm biased, objectively speaking, it offers excellent value. If you have money to spare, go for something better, but if your budget is limited, it's definitely worth considering.

The lobby manager and the entire concierge team were incredibly professional and efficient, providing thoughtful and attentive service with quick and effective responses. The attention to detail was evident everywhere, and their warm, friendly demeanor made us feel completely relaxed and at home throughout our stay. The environment is serene and elegant, and the service was impeccable. We'll definitely choose this hotel again when we return to Sanya!

The hotel overall was pretty good, though the location is a bit out of the way. However, for Haitang Bay, the price was the most cost-effective. The seaside view was absolutely beautiful, and there were lots of activities for kids, making it perfect for a family vacation. The butler service was excellent; they promptly arranged the shuttle to the airport and even extended our check-out time.

The location is also very convenient, being close to the duty-free shop, making getting around a breeze. Overall, the value for money here is outstanding. It's definitely a top-notch choice for a vacation in Haitang Bay, and I highly recommend it!

I highly recommend their May Day buffet event. At 198 yuan, it's truly much better value for money compared to other big-name hotels. The facilities are indeed a bit dated, which is evident from the exterior. Plus, with it being the May Day holiday, breakfast felt a bit chaotic.

Overall environment: As expected from a well-established five-star hotel! Bruce provided excellent service, and the hotel's environment is elegant, comfortable, and pleasant. Room layout and type: Each room offers a unique view, and the rooms are large, spacious, clean, and tidy. Facilities and services: The service is spot-on; they answer every question and readily assist with any needs or inquiries. Surroundings: The location is convenient, very close to the bustling city center, and the duty-free shop is just a stone's throw away. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus.

Nestled against the coast, this hotel boasts beautiful scenery and incredibly attentive service. There are plenty of entertainment options to enjoy with the family, like games and bowling 🎳. In the evenings, there's a buffet where you can savor delicious food while listening to music 🎶.

The facilities are outdated, and the service is just mediocre – one bad apple spoils the whole bunch. The environment is also pretty standard, and the beach has potential hazards that could cause cuts, so parents with children should be extra careful. Also, if you’re heading back to your room after the evening buffet, watch your step. This hotel has very few lights, and they haven't installed them where they're actually needed. Just look at my foot – I tripped on the stairs because it was too dark to see where I was going. Plus, there are mosquitoes everywhere, and the hotel doesn't even provide mosquito repellent; I had to buy my own repellent and coils. I booked a villa, but the pool was terribly dirty, full of leaves, and nobody bothered to clean it. My kids didn't even dare to go in.

Excellent value for money, and the service was superb! Not only did they give us a free room upgrade, but they also included an extra breakfast. The hotel environment is fantastic too. We'll definitely be back!
