Sanya Yalong Bay No.99 Suite Resort Hotel

The hotel is 2 km from the beach, but they provide a shuttle service. The infinity pool on the second floor is fantastic, and the night view from there is stunning! Overall, the experience was great. Great stay, great fun, great views!

I received a complimentary room upgrade, which was appreciated. However, the pool remained closed throughout our stay, which was disappointing as my children were really looking forward to swimming. Additionally, the shuttle service to Nanshan Temple was fully booked. In the end, we couldn't make use of any of the complimentary services.

This negative review is primarily due to the abysmal attitude of the front desk staff. I had forgotten my laundry in the washing machine. After going out, I contacted the front desk, hoping they could retrieve it and place it on a nearby table or hold it at reception, as I was worried it might get lost if moved by someone else. However, the front desk claimed they were too busy and couldn't provide this service. I then suggested they at least contact a housekeeper to move my clothes to a table in the laundry room, but they still refused, citing being 'swamped.' When I left, there were four staff members at the front desk – two on the phone and two just standing around. Upon my return, there were still three or four staff. I genuinely don't understand how they could be 'too busy' or unable to make a simple phone call, as it certainly didn't look like all four were simultaneously occupied. Overall, the front desk's poor service attitude led to a very negative experience. Not only was my issue unresolved, but the staff also came across as incredibly arrogant, acting as if helping was beneath them and not their obligation. At the very least, service staff should be polite. I strongly recommend the hotel provides better training for its front desk team. I will definitely not be returning to this hotel. On a separate note, for a hotel with so many guests, only two washing machines are available. There were queues for them late at night (9-10 PM) and again early in the morning (7-8 AM).

The hotel is located 2-3 kilometers from the beach. While they do offer a shuttle service to the beach, it runs quite infrequently. I personally found Yalong Bay itself to be quite average, and the surrounding area is very remote with hardly any dining options. The hotel environment is decent, but the service is only so-so. There's a swimming pool, but unfortunately, the water quality wasn't great.

Facilities: The facilities are generally good and quite modern. Cleanliness: Unfortunately, our room had ants on the floor and even on the bathroom vanity, which was quite unsettling. Location: The hotel's surroundings are pleasant, with a good variety of dining options nearby. Service: The service provided by the hotel staff was decent.
