"We stayed at Le Marin Boutique Hotel during our trip to Rotterdam. While the hotel is not far from Rotterdam Centraal, first-time visitors should plan their route in advance. We initially followed Apple Maps, which led us on a longer path, but there's actually a more direct route. The hotel is situated in a quiet neighborhood, offering a peaceful environment. It's within walking distance to Chinatown, where you can find various dining and shopping options. We appreciated the spaciousness of our room, which provided a comfortable space to relax after a day of exploring. The decor is stylish, with a marine theme and dark tones that add a cozy ambiance. However, some guests have noted that rooms can feel smaller than expected, and the dark interior may not appeal to everyone. Additionally, sound insulation between rooms could be improved, as footsteps from upstairs can be heard. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet with a variety of options, though some guests felt it lacked certain basics. On the positive side, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel's location makes it convenient to explore the city. Overall, Le Marin Boutique Hotel provides a comfortable stay with a unique atmosphere, suitable for travelers seeking a tranquil environment close to the city's attractions."

"Hotel is in the centre which (if driving) may not be so simple, they have no on-site parking so you can park on the street outside but be aware this is a €6/hr affair. You need your digital key to even enter the property and once inside, even if an *employee* is present, you are beholden to do all the work yourself to check in, register the room card etc etc. The whole experience is completely remote from human interaction and rather unpleasant. The rooms are sterile, very much like a youth hostel or student room. Bright, very basic, clean. There is a very small desk to work at and there are some convenient power points. There is no bar/restaurant or even breakfast at the hotel. There is nowhere to store your luggage in the room. Suitable for a cheap one night stay but otherwise I would recommend you find somewhere else."

"We stayed at Ibis Rotterdam City Centre for three nights. The location is great and the staff were generally friendly, but unfortunately we had repeated issues with the room heating. On the first night, the heating in our room (112) was not working and we were very cold. Since no technicians were available at night, the reception could not offer a solution, and the problem was fixed the next morning. However, on the third night the heating broke down again and started blowing cold air, this time only in our room. The staff were unable to fix it, so we had to change rooms late at night and move all our belongings to a new room. The new room worked fine, but the experience was quite inconvenient. Having the same issue twice and needing to move rooms made our stay less comfortable than expected."

"My stay at Numa Coolsingel was one of the most frustrating accommodation experiences I’ve had. Firstly, there was construction noise that started at 7:00am, despite being told it would begin at 9:30am. This completely disrupted my rest and set the tone for the rest of the stay. The most serious issue was access to the room. On two separate occasions, I was locked out despite having valid access and a confirmed late checkout. On the first occasion, I spent around 45 minutes on the phone (15 minutes with Sofia and 30 minutes with Jess) just to regain access. On the second occasion, I was again locked out for approximately 30 minutes. This is completely unacceptable — access to your room is the most basic expectation of any stay. Customer service was extremely poor. Both Sofia and Jess were unable to resolve the issue efficiently, and I was given incorrect information about my access. I was told my code was invalid due to not having a late checkout, which was not true, and was then issued a new code while being told it was the same one. The lack of clarity and competence was very frustrating. To make matters worse, after checking out I was accused by Rafaela of smoking inside the room — something I strongly dispute. Despite this serious allegation, no clear or sufficient evidence has been provided, yet they are attempting to charge a €150 penalty. Overall, this stay was defined by poor communication, unreliable systems, and a lack of accountability. Being locked out multiple times, receiving incorrect support, and then being wrongly accused of violating rules is not acceptable. I would strongly advise others to consider alternative accommodation options."
