Self-driving Trip | Yandang Mountain Accommodation Recommendation
Homestay: ”Yanqiu Courtyard”
Before our arrival, the hostess specifically sent us a list of important notes and mentioned that she would arrange for a driver to pick us up at the station (cars need to be parked in the free parking lot outside the village).
The courtyard is right at the entrance of Dalongqiu, and you can see Scissors Peak ⛰️ as soon as you step out. The transportation is extremely convenient.
Upon arrival, the hostess greeted me with ”sweetheart” and ”little girl,” which instantly melted my heart! The environment is also beyond words. Each room is named after the corresponding wood used inside, such as Rosewood, Agarwood, Cliff Cypress, Sandalwood, Red Sandalwood, Golden Silk Nanmu, Boxwood, and Padauk...
When we left, the hostess even gave a slingshot to the child. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Yandang Mountain 🏠. It truly feels like coming home.

Anonymous UserIt was my first time in Wenzhou. I looked around for accommodation in Nanxi River. There were basically no chain resort hotels, only homestays. I was worried that the service would not be as good as a hotel, but after the experience, I found that the price-performance ratio was excellent, which completely exceeded my expectations! !
We arrived very late that day, but the housekeeper not only waited for us patiently, but was also very gentle and thoughtful. He helped us take our luggage upstairs and explained the attractions and local food. The aunties who swept the road in the morning also greeted us with a smile. Everyone we met was enthusiastic and energetic, and the service attitude was completely comparable to some luxury resort hotels.
The wooden house of the B&B is very unique, with a quiet environment. As soon as you open the door, you can see the green and listen to the spring. The morning air is fresh, and the birds are singing and the flowers are fragrant. Although it is winter, there is still a lot of greenery. It is located in the scenic area, which makes it very convenient to visit Yongjia Academy. The entrance to the core area is next to the breakfast room of the B&B. After breakfast, you can directly cross the cable bridge, play in the water and go hiking. The scenery of Yongjia Academy is very beautiful, and there are many activities to play, and the fees are very reasonable. In the afternoon, the two housekeepers specially asked us to experience the rice cake making activity in the scenic area. Not only did we eat hot brown sugar rice cakes on the spot, which were soft, chewy, sweet and delicious, but the housekeeper also thoughtfully sent some to our room.
When I left, I forgot to bring my charger, but the housekeeper reminded me promptly and sent it back. The whole trip was very pleasant, the scenery was beautiful and the people were kind. Wenzhou is great, the green mountains and clear waters nurture good people, the experience was great, I will come again in spring and summer.

The room had a small balcony with a view of the mountains, a beautiful view that felt like a fairy on rainy days. The crooked tree in the yard was a favorite. The fish tank was a bit dirty, but I loved the double swing. Tea was free in the teahouse, and the waitress was very kind and considerate. She even let us choose between a south-facing room and a balcony with a mountain view. She also provided a brief guide on how to get around, how to get to the bus, and whether to borrow an umbrella for rainy days.
The breakfast was generous, with four small pickles that were delicious. I wanted to try them all. The yellow mud snails were fresh and not fishy, with no sand or sand in them. The fermented tofu was not salty and slightly sweet, and the pickles were the kind with bamboo shoots. The oyster sauce and lettuce were comparable to what I've had for dim sum in Guangzhou, Macau, and Hong Kong. The cakes were sweet and glutinous, the steamed buns were soft, and the meat buns were firm and homemade, with a fresh, sweet filling and a light, sweet sugarcane flavor. The soy milk with millet tasted a bit like coffee or milk tea. The wontons were also delicious. Dinner can be reserved for a fee. The wild river shrimp and snails were fresh, the roast chicken was delicious, and the vegetables were fresh. They also gave us pomelo, oranges, peanuts and other things. There was plenty of bottled water every day, and they would ask if I wanted water before I went out, which was very thoughtful.

KaiChen Puju | My Mountain Retreat at Baizhangji, Where Moonlight Breathes...
We drove to Wencheng, a renowned destination that was new to me – Liu Bowen's hometown and home to the famous Baizhangji scenic area.
The host was already waiting for our arrival. Despite the drizzling rain, they helped with our luggage, carefully guided us, and even assisted with charging our car. This incredible hospitality instantly made the unfamiliar mountain depths feel wonderfully warm and inviting, just like home!
Bluestone steps led us to a starlit courtyard. The moment we pushed open the wooden gate, a striking fusion of ancient village tranquility and modern pastoral elegance greeted our eyes!
We didn't even have time to admire the night sky before stepping into our room. It was wonderfully spacious and comfortable, featuring a large desk by the window – perfect for brewing tea, painting, or simply letting inspiration flow. The host had thoughtfully turned on the air conditioning beforehand, ensuring a comfortable check-in experience. We quickly drifted off into a deep sleep on the plush, soft bed, enveloped by the fresh, invigorating mountain air, eagerly anticipating the next day's adventures!
First thing in the morning, our host delivered coffee and a sumptuous breakfast directly to our room. Framed by the floor-to-ceiling window, the ethereal mountain mist and morning fog seemed to effortlessly steal into my heart, while filtered sunlight dancing through the bamboo blinds gracefully illuminated the washbasin.
Baizhangji is just a short drive away! The area also boasts bustling souvenir photo shops and a vibrant snack street. After a day of hiking and sightseeing, the best part was looking forward to returning to our cozy guesthouse.
The highlight, however, was dusk, when the entire courtyard's fish pond transformed into a captivating vessel for moonlight. Every corner exuded rustic elegance, allowing us to find joyful solitude and escape the city's hustle and bustle in perfect tranquility!
Note: We confirmed it's only a 6-minute drive from the guesthouse to Baizhangji North Gate! Also, within 300 meters, you'll find a She ethnic restaurant, a riverside café, and an intangible cultural heritage noodle workshop, all typically open during peak season. Excellent and highly recommended!

The room was spotless, well-equipped, and incredibly cozy and comfortable! The host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, patiently answering all my questions and making my trip so much easier. I was also very grateful for the chilled watermelon and snacks provided. The food at their restaurant was excellent too, especially the spicy crayfish – it really packed a punch!

The room was spacious and quiet, the bedding was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning was powerful. Located at the entrance of Jingming Valley, the setting is beautiful, with a walking path along the river. Morning and evening strolls offer breathtaking views of the mountains, which are even more beautiful during the flood season. It's close to Sanzhe Waterfall, and there's a scenic bus stop right in front of the attraction, connecting you to Lingyan, Lingfeng, and Xianglingtou in just one or two stops. I personally prefer this quiet location. The breakfast was nutritious and wholesome, meeting my needs perfectly, making it more reassuring than dining out. The host even picked me up on a hot day, which was very appreciated. They also provided detailed information about the scenic area, which was very helpful for my independent travels. My three-day stay was wonderful.

The location of the room is very good. The sea is opposite the hotel. The scenery is great. Dashao Beach is 900 meters away. The sand is very fine. The breakfast at the hotel is very good. The seafood for lunch and dinner is very fresh and the price is not expensive. Especially the front desk service is very good. We also upgraded the room, making it a very cost-effective resort hotel.

BOBshenThe price of the B&B is a bit expensive, but the service is good and they take the initiative to upgrade the room type.
The hygiene of the B&B is good, but slippers are required to enter the accommodation and restaurants, which is not acceptable. No hotel or B&B has this requirement. When the weather gets cold, you should be allowed to wear shoe covers, but the B&B did not prepare shoe covers.
In addition, the driver recommended by the B&B, Master Lin (**********), is very enthusiastic and familiar with the scenic spots and restaurants. Master Lin arranged our four-day itinerary and we are very satisfied.

At the top of the hot spring scenic area, the view from the balcony (on the third floor) is still OK. But you can't see anything on the second floor. The hotel facilities are relatively old. We booked three rooms, and one of them had a clogged toilet. The front desk service language is fine, but it gives people a cold feeling. There are only a few pools in the hot spring, the lights are dim, the signs are unclear, and there are no road signs. There are only two services in the whole hot spring, one male and one female. They are sitting in the same place playing with their mobile phones. When asking for directions, the male service staff ignored them. My companions and their couples soaked until more than nine o'clock and were disliked by the service staff because they came out late (the time should be open until ten o'clock). The canteen is dark, no one, the price is super expensive, and I don't know if the ingredients are fresh or not, so I didn't dare to eat. The farmhouse at the entrance of the resort introduced by the waiter is expensive, and the attitude is not good. After ordering the dishes, we told us that there is no rice, only noodles. In short, the overall feeling is not good.
