"Kalima Resort & Spa – A Hotel We'd Love to Return To We first discovered Kalima because of the Japanese restaurant on the hotel grounds. We were immediately impressed by the panoramic views and the famous infinity pool – so much so that we booked a few nights there almost immediately after dinner. And honestly, the hotel exceeded our expectations. The service here is truly top-notch, the infrastructure is excellent, and the staff are incredibly attentive. We appreciated the attention to detail: you can easily contact the reception, order services, and book activities through a convenient app, saving a lot of time on organizational matters. I particularly want to highlight the staff – all employees are very friendly, attentive, and respond quickly to any requests. Housekeeping was done daily and to a high standard, without any complaints. The breakfasts deserve special mention. The selection is truly impressive: Japanese and Italian cuisine, BBQ, a wide variety of fresh fruits, desserts, a chocolate fountain, and a DIY bar with mojitos and other cocktails. There's also a separate coffee bar where you can order coffee drinks or a matcha latte. We couldn't even try everything in just a few days. Another pleasant bonus is the recently opened sauna next to the main pool. It's very well-equipped, and thanks to regular cleaning, it's always clean and fresh inside, without any damp smell. The hotel is located a bit away from the main city infrastructure. However, this is perfectly compensated by the free shuttle service to and from Jungceylon, which runs throughout the day. Ultimately, we had such a wonderful time that we decided to extend our stay for an additional night. For us, this is probably the best indicator of how much we loved the hotel. A big thank you to the entire team at Kalima Resort & Spa for a wonderful vacation. I'm sure this was far from our last stay here – we will definitely be back again."

"📍 Twinpalms MontAzure, opened in 2019, is a moderately priced hotel that still feels relatively new in most aspects. The rooms are apartment-style and decent in size, but the public areas are a bit small. The hotel only has one all-day dining restaurant 🍴. The good thing is its beachfront location 🌊, so you can also try other dining options at the InterContinental next door, or take a stroll along the beach where you'll find plenty of other sea-view restaurants and bars 🍤🍹🌴. My main reasons for choosing this hotel were 1) it's relatively new, and 2) you can surf right on the hotel beach. It's definitely a great spot for those who are both laid-back and adventurous!"

"An incredible return visit — Cape Sienna never disappoints This was our second stay at Cape Sienna, and it was every bit as wonderful as the first — maybe even better. We stayed for 9 nights and were sad to leave. What struck us right away was that the staff remembered we were returning guests. That kind of attention to detail says a lot about how this hotel treats its guests, and it made us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived. The views here are simply amazing — the kind you find yourself stopping to take in every single day, whether from the room, the pool, or the restaurant. Cape Sienna’s hillside position gives it a real edge, and it never gets old. The location is another huge plus. You’re close to everything you’d want — restaurants, beaches, and activities are all within easy reach, so you get the best of both a peaceful retreat and easy access to explore. And then there’s the staff. Every single person we interacted with was warm, happy, and genuinely helpful — the kind of service that makes a good hotel into a great one. It’s clear the team here takes real pride in what they do. We’re already looking forward to a third visit. If you’re considering Cape Sienna, don’t hesitate — book it"

"We stayed in a Cabana room with direct access to the 150m pool. The hotel is like a fairytale, as if we had stopped in a magical Baghdad. Every inch of the hotel is picture-perfect. It was a feast for the eyes; our whole family was absolutely thrilled. Everything is so well thought out; your designers and architects are simply geniuses. The grounds are beautiful, and the views along the pools are equally stunning. The room was also perfectly designed, down to every last detail. It was such a pleasure to be at the hotel, and for the first time, we didn't want to leave at all. The staff were responsive, quickly attended to all requests, and everyone was very welcoming and cheerful. There was a minor issue during check-in: despite the room having an extra bed and a child being included in the booking, their presence wasn't accounted for, and we had to pay for an extra bed, extra towels, and breakfast for the child. While it's understandable for breakfast, paying over 900 Baht/day for towels and bedding seemed a bit much. It was disappointing, but we immediately forgot all about it as soon as we immersed ourselves in the magical atmosphere of the hotel. I also want to commend the culinary masterclass and thank Korn, Sri, and Pook for organizing such an interesting and fun experience. Khapunkha ❤️"

"I didn't have high hopes for this hotel due to its low rating on Ctrip and the room photos. However, my stay far exceeded my expectations. The room was much more upscale in person than it appeared in the pictures. While some power outlets, switches, and a few pieces of furniture were a bit dated, the overall quality was still evident. We booked a one-bedroom luxury sea-view villa. Upon arrival, the staff warmly showed us two different layouts within this room type: one with separate living and sleeping areas, and another where they were connected. The bedroom and bathroom configurations also varied. We chose the latter, and the view was absolutely incredible. The staff across all departments were excellent, always greeting us with a smile and providing great assistance. The tuk-tuk service was also very prompt, arriving within 2-3 minutes of calling. Because of the room's amazing view, we ordered room service for both dinners, enjoying our meals while watching the sunset. The food quality was also excellent, far superior to the Banyan Tree where we stayed a few days prior. There's a 7-Eleven within walking distance, and the walk from the hotel to the 7-Eleven offers nice scenery. There were a couple of downsides. Firstly, the breakfast selection was limited (though the taste was decent), and the breakfast restaurant lacked air conditioning. Also, the air conditioning in the game room was often turned off; I hope they can improve this. One more thing to mention: if your budget allows, I highly recommend upgrading directly to the one-bedroom luxury pool sea-view villa. The experience at this hotel differs significantly depending on whether you have a sea view or not."

"We chose a family room, and the kids had bunk beds, but it turned out to be an older renovation. The key card stopped working immediately; check-in was already late, around 10 PM. In the morning, we asked for a change, and thankfully, the staff handled it quickly. We moved to a room with one large bed, and they added an extra bed for us, which was much more comfortable! This room had been recently renovated! The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the sea! The beach club is super. You step out of the hotel, and there are shops, massage parlors, and a 7-Eleven nearby!"

"My experience at Keemala was beautiful and different in terms of concept and design 🌿. What I liked most was how smartly the property blends the villas with nature. You feel like the villa is part of the forest, not just a normal hotel room. The atmosphere is peaceful, the privacy is great, and the views around the property give a relaxing feeling away from city noise ☁️. The bathroom was truly impressive, with beautiful design, space, and details ✨. It was one of the best parts of the villa for me. Breakfast was also good, and the shakshuka was amazing and very delicious 🍳. The staff were kind and respectful ⭐️, and it was clear that they tried to help as much as possible. However, I also felt that some of them seemed a bit tired or stressed. That being said, I did not feel the place was as luxurious as I expected for the high price 💸. The experience is unique, but it is more about the nature concept, privacy, and design rather than classic luxury or the level of service I expected from a resort at this price. Also, you should not mind seeing geckos almost everywhere 🦎. This may be normal because the property is surrounded by nature, but it may not be comfortable for everyone. The most disappointing part of my stay was an incident near the private pool. There was a glass cup, and I thought it was safe to use around the pool or maybe non-breakable, but the wind knocked it down and it broke. After that, the hotel charged the full 3,000 THB deposit for cleaning, even though the staff cleaned the area in less than 20 minutes and told me it was safe afterward. Later, during checkout, I was told again that the area was not safe and that the deposit would be kept for further cleaning, which felt very frustrating. I really think the resort should provide non-breakable cups around both private and public pools, because glass near a pool can easily become a problem for any guest, especially with wind or outdoor areas. I also hope the deposit policy becomes clearer and more reasonable, because losing the full deposit for an accidental situation left a negative feeling at the end of the stay. Overall, I recommend it if you are looking for a unique nature stay, high privacy, creative design, and a beautiful bathroom. I would not recommend it if you expect strong luxury for the price, dislike geckos, or do not like strict policies for small accidents."

"The hotel's location is quite good; you can walk directly to Karon Beach from the hotel, and it's not far from Kata Night Market, just a few minutes' walk away. Many of the hotel staff can speak Chinese, so communication was mostly hassle-free. Although the rooms have a wooden structure, they are elevated, so even though it's near the sea, there's no feeling of dampness. The breakfast was decent. The 'Red Chopsticks' restaurant at the entrance is also good. Our room package included dinner, though we didn't eat there every day. The 'On The Rock' restaurant within the hotel is a nice spot to watch the sunset. Overall, it was pretty good."

"A beautiful hotel with magnificent views from the pool, restaurants, and many rooms. It's more suited for adults seeking a quiet, secluded getaway. You'll hardly see anyone anywhere! There's a lovely small beach with great snorkeling, loungers, a cafe, and a restroom, and again, hardly anyone there! Make sure to bring your water shoes. The breakfast selection is small, with a menu for hot dishes and a small buffet line. The coffee is excellent. I had lunch twice; one time it was delicious – spaghetti with scallops – but the second time, the duck confit was old and not very good. For dinner, we either drove or walked to the promenade, where there are many budget-friendly options. The buggies are helpful for navigating the hills. The staff is superb; they promptly resolve all issues. When it rained, they ran to the car with umbrellas to help us stay dry. We even received a room upgrade and were allowed a late check-out, which was incredibly convenient. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"I was extremely satisfied with this trip. I chose the Orchid Hotel because of its location and the big waterslide, though my expectations weren't very high initially. I'd seen some reviews mentioning the hotel being damp and moldy, but I figured that for the 300-400 baht price point, it would be acceptable. I requested a high-floor, sunny room on Trip.com. I booked two rooms, and since our flight arrived late, we didn't get to the hotel until midnight. The two rooms were in different buildings, quite far apart. At first, I wasn't happy and considered asking to switch to closer rooms the next day. However, the hotel upgraded one of my standard rooms to a pool-view room, directly facing the big waterslide. My child loved it and didn't want to move, so we just made do. I stayed on the third floor of building 1. While the room wasn't brand new, it wasn't as old or damp as some reviews suggested. When I entered, the air conditioning was on. I'm not sure if it was because I'd noted my concern about dampness causing my child to get a rash, but the hotel clearly made an effort regarding customer satisfaction. As for people saying the breakfast wasn't good or that there weren't many Chinese people, I think that's subjective. My whole family found the food quite acceptable; it was typical buffet fare. The small restaurant next door was convenient for lunch and dinner. The location was great, only a few hundred meters' walk from Karon Beach. The kids had an absolute blast on the pool slide, and my two-year-old even learned to swim in the shallow pool! A truly commendable point is that it was my eldest son's birthday on the 22nd. Without any prior notification from me, the hotel decorated our room for his birthday. We were out at sea all day, and when we returned to the room that evening, we found it meticulously cleaned. The hotel had fashioned adorable little elephants from towels, adorned with fresh flowers, and left a birthday card. Both the kids and adults were amazed! My son was overjoyed. It was his first tenth birthday, and his first time receiving birthday wishes from a hotel. I have to say, for a seaside hotel in Phuket, an old establishment like the Orchid, at such a great value, making this kind of effort – I am extremely satisfied. If I ever go to Phuket again, I will definitely stay here. This is not a paid review; it's a completely genuine and objective assessment, for your reference."
