Considering the price, I think this is the only choice in this area. However, the room didn't have a window, so it felt a little dark.

Having visited the hotel several times I was very disappointed at how dated and unclean the room was. Large cracks in the wall and broken door frames. The facilities to include spa and massage were not available and this was not explained at the time of booking. When I sought a refund for the 3 days that I did not stay I was initially informed this was approved by the manager. After leaving the hotel the manager refused to honour the refund. Very unprofessional service. Would not recommend.

We have been staying at this hotel since the past 20 years. But this year the service was extremely bad. There was no warm water and the housekeeping was completely useless. The keys system was not working as well. Every now and then the keys were getting deactivated. Such service was never observed before. Except for the quality of food , nothing else was satisfactory.

The hotel is well situated on Yagnik road which is like heart of Rajkot. Hotel is quite old like 30 plus year . Now they have build one more adjoining building which is Like 4/5 years old. Room is very small but all required things are there . I was given room 288 . When I entered it was hot AC was like not working. It’s took long to get room cool. The hand faucet fixed on wrong side . Service is good. Food taste is good but in restaurant is all time very crowded. People are making noise like vegetables market. There is no separate parking area for guests so if you are new to this hotel then you would have to wait till 12 midnight. Behaviour of Hitesh at parking area not good even Mr Khan at reception is also did not look co operative . Mr Naresh is a very nice guy .

This hotel is a STRICT AVOID in Rajkot. On entering the room allotted to me I was shocked to see only ONE HAND TOWEL ( even though we were a couple staying in the room ) NO ROOM SLIPPERS and WOODEN FACES OF ALL THE STAFF INCLUDING THOSE AT THE RECEPTION. The staff should be taught how to smile at Guests. When asked why only one hand towel in the room, the answer given was, if you require we will provide you one more. Luckily they had provided 2 bath towels. THIS INSPITE OF THE RATE BEING 7000+. There are much better options available now in Rajkot so not worth spending this much amount for a hotel which does not understand the meaning of HOSPITALITY

The rooms are quite spacious and pleasant. However, they are extremely noisy, since you can hear people strolling down the corridor or conversing in an adjacent room. The food quality was quite decent. The complimentary breakfast does not include coffee i.e. cappuccino or Americano, you have to pay for it, which is extremely rare in the hotel that pretends to be star rated. There is a very nice installation in the lobby, but it is completely covered with dust.

Very pleased with the hotel from the initial welcome at reception through to the restaurant. Very friendly and respective staff all over the hotel. 10/10 for the room services crew, nothing was impossible for them to provide and all did this with a smile. Decor of the lobby, restaurant, lobbies all refreshing and bright. Hotel seems to be maintaining the hotel finishes to the star rating. Airport transfer is at a reasonable price and was on time in the early hours. Hotel also provided a packed breakfast as we were going to miss breakfast to catch our flight. Only negative comment is relating to the bedroom door, it’s not acoustically treated as they are in the UK with comparable star rating. Noise in the corridors travels through, especially when you are looking to sleep. However, we would book again without hesitation.

A hotel we have been using for years. Every trip to Rajkot we went to this hotel as the service was excellent, location was perfect and best in class in Rajkot. My previous trip last December 2023 I felt a change in the service but thought it could be due to the hotel being full. However, I have just been there for 3 days when the hotel was practically empty! Service in the restaurant was below average, with some staff showing very little interest towards guests. Worst than this was I gave my laundry and gave instructions to reverse iron or place a cloth on top (not to apply ironing directly to the top). Two expensive items came back ruined and when I complained the house keeper’s response was “the laundry staff should have known how to iron clothes, without needing any instructions. Instead of accepting his fault and trying to find a solution his response was these things happen, and for us to forget and accept that a mistake has occurred.” I had to complain to the manager and said unless it’s fixed I want to be paid for the damaged items. It took them 2 attempts to fix the problem and this was only done because I insisted in a refund of my items of clothing which would have been a hefty bill. Weighing scale in my room was not working the house keeper team again had no interest to provide another scale. The engineer team had to step in and get another scale from a different room. The only plus point this time round was the reception team. Very disappointed experience!!!

The Imperial Palace is one of the oldest five star hotel in Rajkot. I have been staying in this property from last 7 years. I really liked the the ambiance of the hotel. Mr. Pranay Thakkar has always been very humble and cooperative. The Rooms are spacious, neat & clean. the kind of amenities they provide is very nice. The buffet Breakfast was good

Explained everything to three different staff. Hussain, various reception staff and your manager Akash Pandey. Issues : Noise from neighbouring room. Shouting, TV and 7 guests in one room! Door key cards not working from day one. Reset 14 times for both of us. Air conditioning not working and wasn't fixed despite complaining. Smoking smells in corridor from other rooms, despite complaining NOTHING happened. Worst experience of a hotel management. Akshay Pandey, should not be a manager, he has no manners or people skills. All he said we will sort it out. Nothing done to resolve my suffering for 3 days. He was suppose to call me after 30 minutes.... He never did! I inquired at the reception and yet he had simply sat in the back office and never came out to explain anything. Absolutely rubbish service and poor quality of services. My professional advisor will investigate the matter with international Hotels Group Authority. Draft out strong case and send it to Media Influencers, Hotel rating authority, Google reviews, Trip Advisor reviews and Mumbai Media channels.

First room we were given was unclean and when I opened the fridge there was a MOULDY OPENED sandwich left there! We requested for another room, went to see it, and it was also dirty, DUST everywhere and very stuffy. The housekeeping manager saw us and did a U-turn down the corridor to avoid talking to us! Third room had a dirty carpet so they assured us they would clean it and call us back to check. When we went back the carpet still had clothes threads and other fluff which clearly hadn’t been vacuumed properly! All of this took ONE HOUR to resolve! When speaking with the operations manager - Rahul Rao - and explaining that this shouldn’t have been the case and we would like some compensation for the inconvenience he assured us that he would speak with management and call us back, so he asked for a mobile number which we gave and then told us he would call us back in 30 mins with an update. 30 mins later and no update, we went to his office where he was with another guest so we told him to call us ASAP. He told us he would call us in 5-10 mins. Which again he DID NOT. Another hour later when going to his office to check for an update and query WHY we hadn’t heard anything, he started raising his voice and shouting at me and us!! Absolutely SHOCKING behaviour and attitude towards customers. Clearly he could not take that he had been caught out and not delivered as per his FALSE promises. His mannerisms were disgusting and incredibly rude, definitely not trained to communicate or deal with HOSPITALITY incidents or situations. After going back to the room we noticed that the bedding had stains and dirty marks, so requested for a clean duvet cover. The boy who came to make the bed didn’t know how to, and whilst laughing was desperately calling someone else for help. When that person came to assist they were still unable to change the duvet cover - this in total took 20 mins, by which time I asked them to leave, and my husband and I made the bed ourselves- only to realise that the new duvet cover itself ALSO had stains and hairs! We asked for another double duvet cover, and received a flat bed sheet, after explaining that we need a double duvet cover again, we then received a single duvet with NO cover. An extremely exhausting and frustrating experience, especially as we have stayed there many years ago when it was great! All in all this hotel is an absolute joke, not hygienic, housekeeping staff have no standards, and the management are incredibly incompetent and rude! I would NOT recommend booking or wasting your time and energy at Imperial Palace - you definitely won’t get royal treatment!!! This is more like a one star hotel, we would have been better off in a hostel! 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

This place used to be lovely, but over the years, it has gone downhill. The rooms are molding, old, and dirty. I had initially wanted to stay three nights but checked out the next day and went to RPJ hotel, which was far more modern and cheaper. Imperial is overpriced for the facilities. The front of the property and reception give that wow feeling, but the rooms need to be stripped and refurbished. Torn and old carpets. Stained. Bathrooms are smelly and dirty. The front desk could do with learning some manners. I would not recommend this hotel. Save your money and go elsewhere.
