First time staying in this hotel. Receptionist staff were all youngsters, very nice, soft spoken and polite. Room check in was swift. Room looks really good, great interior design, nice sunset view. Staff were really helpful, services were really great. However not the cleanliness part. Found hair on bed, used vanity kit, hair on bath robes, dirty sticky floor. Thought I can just live with it, however the next moment I went to shower, the shampoo bottle was already used… hair conditional was almost empty. The shower gel cap was opened. So I called the receptionist. Initiating to change rooms. The cleaner aunty came in and said the shampoo bottles etc usually not fillled to the max, as it’s directly from the manufacturer. When asked why the shower gel cap is not closed, she then say “oh because of air pressure, sometimes it will pop up”. Next they brought me to change my room (said to be an upgraded room but it was the same room with a half lake view.) I checked, and still found hair on the counter, didn’t mention a thing since it’s just a strand. The computer table was wet, but whatever I wiped it off. The floors are also dirty despite the cleaner aunty saying “I’ve checked multiple times. There shouldn’t be an issue.” I went to check the shower shampoo and conditional gel, all are brand new. Haha. Something is wrong with the integrity of the cleaners here. After booking, I went to Look at reviews again; realise this isn’t the first time someone encountered with. Cleanliness issue. Paid over $100(SGD) for this. Best part is, the vanity kit has been used too. So I had to dail receptionist again to deliver a brand new kit up. Upsetting experience. Breakfast was meh. Average. Customer services was super B tho. Wouldn’t come back again if I’d need to keep calling in again and again for the cleanliness and top up. Btw the cleaner told me to not leave a bad review or they would get nagged at by their Incharge. However, I don’t think it should be this way. I hope there will be improvements. So long.

Hotel outlook, environment, facilities look brand news and neat. However front desk is too small and not enough manpower to service customer. Coffee shop Breakfast has many varieties and taste good.

This is my second time staying at West Lake Hotel. It is still as good as before. From the moment I got off the taxi, the staff was very warm and thoughtful. The front desk check-in was efficient and friendly. The room service was meticulous, and even the details such as the toilet seat were considered.
