Hotel Beacon Onomichi Reviews

Stayed for 2 nights; half day to Setoda and one day in Onomichi. Beautiful furnishings but awkward layout that the sink is far from the toilet. Suggest to request for the other room layout attached in my pictures

The hotel was clean and in a great location. The rooms were original and fun. We had the largest room 209 and it was great for having our other party members over for hanging out.

In despite of other reviews we where not satified. The standard double room was claustrofobic narrow. The airco breezes so hard that we almost freeze or the opposite sweating out. And we slept in many hotels over the world but never in a four star rated hotel where there was no tea available. Not in the room or in the restaurant. neither at the breakfast. So far overpriced!!

 I would like to give a top grade to Beacon hotel.  it is on the second floor of Onomichi station. This time we was upgrade to a very cozy family room. we are very happy to see that is a simple kitchen. We were on bicycle travel from Imabari. Our luggage was sent to the room before we check in. Staffs are all very kind and easy communicate. Only heard one time train pass by after we slept. Bed is large and very comfortable. Very new hotel. Highly recommend!

Fantastic room with amazing and brand new decoration. Hotel was opened in July of 2022 and the facilities are just amazing, and in excellent conditions. The staff is extremely professional , very attentive , communicating in English. The location is very privileged, just above the Onomichi train station. Breakfast is a state of art , with the food coming in a bento in a perfect portion. There are capsule coffee in the room . Onsen is extra 2500 yen for one hour . The hotel is just one of the best surprises in my trip and fully worth staying a day or two there. If you want to ride to shimanami kaido this hotel is perfect location.

Perfect location for Shimanami Kaido

The room is bigger than expected, the high roof is beautiful, the hotel design and color scheme is very good, it is the toilet sink and kitchen sink is the same, overlapping positions get not too good to use, dim lighting. Everything else was good, excellent location, right upstairs from JR and bus station, very convenient, staff were very helpful. However, sleep easy to wake up people do not book, JR walk through is going to be noisy ga!

It is on the second floor of the station. It is unexpectedly quiet and comfortable, without any noise or vibration. The facilities are also new and complete. At first, I was given a room at the edge with many windows and a little smell of oil smoke. After I told the front desk, they readily changed my room.

The location is very good, on the second floor of the JR station, suitable for passengers who will take the JR the next day. However, the sound insulation is poor, and the rumbling sound of the train is clearly heard, which affects sleep. The air conditioning design is unreasonable and blows towards the head

The location is super convenient, on the second floor of Onomichi Station. The total number of rooms is very small, which may be why I cannot book this hotel on other platforms. The washbasin in the room is a bit low, and it is outside the bathroom. The movement and height are not used to it. The room design is lovely, you can overlook the entire harbor from the window, and there is also a raised tatami seating area~ There is a 7-11 downstairs. Although it is not 24 hours a day, it is very convenient~

Good, clean room, convenient surrounding. Very close to the ferry terminal, beach, and car rental. It is also convenient to go to the commercial street and Senkoji Temple. It is on the second floor of the tram station.

Please note that there is a step at the door of Standard Double Room 214. Road bike bags cannot be dragged into the room. This design is really strange. Pajamas are very comfortable

We came to ride the Shimanami Kaido. We brought our own road bike and booked a standard double room in this hotel. However, please note that there is a step at the door of room 214. You can see the picture. You cannot drag your car bag in. When placed in the room, the space in the room is not large, and there is a lot of furniture placed there, making it difficult to open the suitcase. Very dissatisfied Other services are very good. It is located on the second floor of the station. The breakfast is also rich and delicious, and the dishes change every day.
